Where'd you go? [Ettan, Sliver]

Postby Ettan on December 14th, 2012, 11:32 pm

Ettan saw the the shift in Miria's shadow than heard the cry from above. Looks like they weren't getting her help down here. In any case they did seem to have the element of surprise on their hand as his wolverine ally jumped into action as the figures approached to close.

After seeing her over powered he jumped into action to the two remaining. He jumped, like the wild beast he was, his clothes already removed, onto one of the attackers back and latching on, if only to give Sliver time to recover. Luckily they seemed to have still been ignorant of his position before hand.

The man moved violently trying to shake the man off his back but Ettan only continued to cling on. The man finally slamming Ettan up against the wall of the cave, the Kelvic loosing grip, falling slightly stunned to the hard cold floor.

Ettan growled at the man as he turned back to finish the job. Shifting, the wolf clawed back at the man, his teeth showing as the man pulled out his knife and finding the defensive stance of the wild kelvic humoring.

Where'd you go? [Ettan, Sliver]

Postby Miria on December 15th, 2012, 1:19 am

Below her the two men regrouped into cover as Miria slowly descended from her perch. Though she was able to injure one that wouldn't stop them from fighting back, now the real battle begins. A dauntless demeanor hid a clouted mind as she weaved through the forest. Her view from above would let her see a broader scope of the area but it didn't come without consequence. She would be easily seen a direct conflict with two armed men didn't look two favorable for her even if one was injured. Keeping low and hidden was how she would be able to come on top.

Running a brisk pace through the forest Miria slowed as she neared the area her eyes lost track of them. Dimmed ruby eyes surveyed the light forest ahead of her as she ducked under some light foliage trying to stay hidden. Finally movement was seen as the two moved through her field of vision one armed with a large axe while the injured man, heavily tattooed around his head, had an axe and long knife ready. A slight limp could be seen from the one she shot as the two suspiciously waded through the forest. Her initial strike wasn't enough as the man gritted his teeth angrily wincing with ever step he took, it was now or never. Closer to the ground and in a range she was modestly accurate she visualized her target as she slowly nocked the bow's string back...

"We have to get out of here! You don't suppose Foley's contact went bad do ya? Those Icewatch aren't suppose to hear about who is missing!

Exhaling loudly Miria let loose another shot whistling through the air. A small twang echoed through the air followed by a loud TWACK!!! as the arrow buried itself in a tree. Looking now Miria gasped slightly as she noticed the axeman's shoulder was now joined with the tree. A look of anguished was seen on his face as he tried to free himself from the arrow as the looked at his companion, panicked. "I now pronounce you man and tree," Miria remarked as she slipped into view. Her voice mocking as her eyes furrowed in an attempt to intimidate the other man.

However underestimating her first victim's resolve she hesitated for a moment as the man let loose his battle shout charging to her position. Fumbling with her quiver Miria found her arrow and brought it to her bow a few moments two late as she sidestepped man's murderous blow aimed at her head. Nearly stumbling on the forest floor Miria was able to find secure enough footing to awkwardly assume her shooting position. Staggering from the attack Miria was able to quickly aim a shot at the side of his back before he turned.

The man dropped his dagger as he clutched his new wound turning to fervently yell at her, Miria assumed, bloody murder for the pain she caused her. This time Miria was ready for his verbal mind game adequetely readying another arrow before letting it loose. The name dove to the right as the arrow came zipping past him. Hearing a groan to her left Miria saw the axeman freed himself from the tree and was starting his waytowards her. Miria filled with mild shock drew her arrow back reaching the 40 kilogram weight she was used to, stepping away from the two.

Where'd you go? [Ettan, Sliver]

Postby Sliver on December 15th, 2012, 12:44 pm

Ettan seemed to have taken care of one of her attackers, but Sliver was still left with a man trying to take advantage of her vulnerable position. Deciding to give her ax a try she leapt off the ground and swung it awkwardly towards his head. He easily knocked the wooden haft aside and punched her clean in the jaw, Sliver stumbling back against the wall, then using the solid substance to push back, putting all her force for a vicious swing at the man's legs.

A woodsmen's ax, even well sharpened, was not designed for the damage to human's that Sliver was attempting, but even still the man let out a yelp of pain at the force of the blow and began toppling over from the sheer force of the weight behind the swing. Utilizing her advantage, Sliver stomped on his left toe hard enough to draw another pained expression and when he fell upon the ground she brought the ax high above her head, trying to calculate the exact spot in the neck where she would need to hit to cleanly sever it without a second try. Having never tried a move such as this before the Kelvic was supremely unsure of how to go about it, and with an almost worried growl she heaved her weapon from behind her head and with her own weight, coupled with gravity, brought it crashing towards the heart.

Her aim was a little off. Instead of hitting the neck she slammed the blade of the ax into the man's solar plexus where a crunching of bones and a severing of skin occurred in the mutilated way that an ax meant for wood did to a body of muscle, flesh, and bone.

The man's scream of utter anguish was only cut off by the fact that Sliver's blow was crushing at least part of his lungs as well, and when the wolverine brought up the ax for the second time, she made sure not to miss the throat and put the poor man out of his misery.

She dropped her weapon to the floor, hands slick from the resulting blood she had just caused to well up in a person's body, somewhat regretting she hadn't gone Ettan's route and just clawed the man to death. She couldn't mope for too long however, for suddenly she realized her pants were on...fire. She swiftly attempted to stamp it out, but the flames seemed only to grow, and she looked around panicked to see where they had come from, only to lock eyes on the first figure she had attacked, who had a pleased smile on his face, and was holding another ball of flame for her: A Reimancer.

Where'd you go? [Ettan, Sliver]

Postby Ettan on December 15th, 2012, 2:35 pm

Ettan and the second man stood at a two foot distance from each other trying to figure out how to proceed without taking a direct hit from the other. A growl still coming from Ettan as the two seemed to circular each other.

Ettan finally went for the strike jumping towards the man and latching his sharp teeth deep into the arm holding the blade. It only took a few shakes to get the man to drop the blade. The man stumbled back trying to free himself from the jaw of the beast, letting out a scream of panic and pain. His attempts to free himself only causing the teeth to dig deeper into his arm, through the flesh and into the bone.

Taking ripped flesh with him, Ettan let go of the man's arm. The man cared less for the wolf that held the missing part of his flesh and more for his bleeding arm. Gripping his bleeding arm, he feel to his knees.

Ettan then jumping for a second attack, onto the helpless man's chest. Pinned down my the wolf, the man could do nothing back scream and do his best to struggle. Ettan than took another bite into the man. Into his shoulder, Ettan sank his teeth and shock violently, freeing muscle from the shoulder. The man's screams became more panicked as it became clear he wasn't getting free from the wolf under the pretense of mercy.

The two advanced slowly on the red eyed Vantha none too appreciative of the arrows that were protruding out of their body. A slight gasp escaped Miria's lips as another arrow was released, but this time the pair were ready for her. The arrow clipped the side of the axeman's leg as it flew past him, disappearing into a rise of snow. Not paying heed to his companion the tattoo man surged forth clearing the distance between the two. Miria reacted too late as the man's blade bit left arm as she failed to sidestep the blow completely. Not accustomed to the pain Miria cried out in pain trying to back from him trembling slightly as she tried to find another arrow to fight back.

Attempting to skewer the man Miria lunged with her arrow only to be backhanded by the man's free hand. She took the full force of the hit this time as she shifted to the right. Ahead of her the light forest came in view as she used the momentum forced on her to get away. Kicking up snow and leaves in her wake Miria ran away from the two armed men. Looking back she saw that they didn't chase as the pair hastily hobbled away.

"Not on my watch" she called out as she raced to cut the two off. The winds blew furiously around her as het feet kicked the forest floor as fast as it fell. Nearing the two as they clutched their wounds, an arrow still lodged on the back of the tattoo'd man. Stepping into view once more she stood imposed as once again she urged her body into a shooting position. The two stopped in their tracks like many hare that roamed Taldera as they eye'd her with contempt. The axeman and tattoo'd fellow had enough of the Vantha, exasperated at their fate. Bleeding from various points. Drained mentally and stifled physically. Terrified of this walker of the woods.

The two still had their weapons in hand, the axeman growling angrily in a last ditch effort started forward. The man's axe raised high above him hefted his weapon at Miria before she could react. Diving to the side to avoid the hatchet the vantha responded in kind as she recovered. Fumbling with her arrow for a few seconds after her tumble, finally Miria sent an arrow to the chest and watched as the man fell on his side in a collapsed heap. Breathing low she gripped her bow tighter and tighter until her knuckles started to turn white in recognition of what just happened. Still this wasn't enough Miria still had needed answers and the best way to do so was to question the remaining foreigner.

Feeling slightly queasy Miria quietly approached the axeman shoving him on his back with her foot as she looked into his eyes. A curious expression was worn on the man's face. Not one of fear, pain or anger. Just a muted expression of a man having a hard time to breathe. Searing the man's face into memory Miria knelt close as she moved to put the man out of his misery. Knowing she still had to question the tattoo'd man she tried to sound as callous as she could before grabbing the arrow from his partner's chest. "Let me get my arrows first...." Pulling the arrow free from the man's chest, a small trickle of blood started to ooze from the man's shirt. "Then you can die."

The whole scene made her sick but she had to do it. How else could she persuade the other man to tell her what she needed to know. Her audience already oh his arse scared, skittered back watching the small yet unyielding trickle of blood from his companion completely soak his shirt. "What do you frigging want?!?!" shouted the tattooed man, his arms coming up defensively to shield himself from what came next. A sharp intake of air was heard from Miria as she shifted her head to attention. "Answers"

Where'd you go? [Ettan, Sliver]

Postby Sliver on December 16th, 2012, 4:02 am

It would be amusing to many, for though Sliver was the animal at heart, she often saw violent magic such as reimancy they way that humans and their ilk were more animals than she. What sort of beast would use the elements instead or their hands, or even a weapon? What being would be so proud or bold as to utilize such an action, the action of magic, a realm that Sliver could truly only see Gods inhabiting.

And this is what filled her with rage. Not the enjoyment that came from a fair or even unbalanced fight out of her favor, but a hot anger that only a smith knew when his blade was cherry red from the heat of his forge. She charged forward, already feeling the heat consuming her leg in a pain so much different and mutilating than a simple blade slicing through flesh. The Reimancer's glee became terror when they both were lit with flame, her body on top of his, writhing on the ground. He couldn't be very strong, she thought to herself, or her would have more control, as it was he seemed even more offended by the fire than she as the victim, but perhaps he was a weakling, who knew nothing or war and scars as she did as a beast. This made her smile with satisfaction as she snapped the man's neck, rolling onto a slick patch of ice and covering herself with handfuls of snow that had leaked in from the ceiling, putting out the lasting fire. Her skin burned red hot, but the act was done, the magic passed, and dark eyes went to her fellow Kelvic, who was near the end of his kill.

Where'd you go? [Ettan, Sliver]

Postby Ettan on December 16th, 2012, 4:35 am

Ettan continued to ragingly tear into the mans flesh with both claws and teeth, even after the man had bleed to death or died from the weight of the wolf preventing him to breathe or perhaps any other damage the wolf might have caused. It would have been to messy to tell. It was the work of a true wild animal and looked to be nothing more.

It would have been easy for Ettan to had just kept him pinned down, and waited for one of the others to come and find what to do with him but Ettan didn't care for that. The man's fate was sealed the second he and Ettan faced off. It was only going to end with one of them dead and the man drew the short straw.

Ettan shifted back into his human form. Standing up Sliver could see he was covered in his victims blood from head to toe. The eyes of a wild beast still burning on his face and his next target, the Vantha girl that had lead them there.

It wasn't a rational decision of course but one shouldn't forget, human form or not they were dealing with a wild animal. Ettan was filled with rage and perhaps miss placed rage in the only way he could make sense of it in his state. He thought perhaps it was a trap, she had lead them there on purpose, on top of not actually thinking at all.

He did not growl but his breath was heavy. His back was still hunched over slightly before he darted towards the direction of the passage way back towards camp.

Where'd you go? [Ettan, Sliver]

Postby Sliver on December 16th, 2012, 4:54 am

Sliver's eyes blinked once, then again, as she watched the wolf tear into her prey. It didn't alarm her or disgust her, after all she was scavenger and predator, not so different from him. Even so, she wondered if that was what she was like, as vicious and as bloody. It had been exactly like that time with the Frostfawn hunter, stabbing his body again and again with the knife, until all that was left was eviscerated pulp, but she had been tired, adrenaline and adrenaline only pumping in a frenzy through her system, fighting to survive.

When he transformed, naked, muscular, and still the look of hunger lay in his gaze, the injured Sliver's eyes filled with worry. He was not yet done with his hunt, she knew it in the vicious way he turned and loped outside, and she ran after him. Every step sent a searing pang up through her body from the burns, both on her leg and upon one arm, but she refused to let him do...whatever he intended. The wolf was there, and not the man beneath.

It wasn't until Ettan had reached the entrance that Sliver leapt upon his back, legs wrapping around his bare waist, a deep and guttural growl issuing from her throat as a challenge to the wolf.

"Don't do this wolf, you have had your kill."

Where'd you go? [Ettan, Sliver]

Postby Ettan on December 16th, 2012, 5:08 am

Ettan was launched into the snow as the wolverine leaped onto him. He struggled violently to break free from her grip, growls escaping from his lips until they eventually just became heavy breathes. He eventually stopped struggling and went limp.

The only movement being his chest, as he took deep heavy breathes, his face laying in the snow. His body shaking, from the cold and the simple act of keeping control over it. He was slowly coming back to his senses.

His breathes leveling out again. "Ok Ok I get it! now get off!"
There was still some frustration in his voice but it was clear he was back, in whatever means back is.

Where'd you go? [Ettan, Sliver]

Postby Sliver on December 16th, 2012, 1:33 pm

Sliver was perplexed that the wolf gave in so easily, but perhaps he had more willpower over his emotions than she gave him credit for, it wasn't like she had never gotten caught up in a lust for death before. She realized how close both of their bodies were, hers pinning his bare form to the icy snow, and she stood up rapidly. She seriously wished to question Diana on the matter of these strange people invading her home, but saw that the Vantha had been busy as well.

The Kelvic glanced around at the scene strewn about her, visualizing the fight the woman must have undergone with the two men. She had to admit she was impressed. The Vantha had seemed severely lacking in the spine department upon arrival, and the spattered blood, dead corpse, and the petching frightened man try to back away from whatever fate she had in store, told an entirely different story.

Sliver approached from behind him, so his slow and fruitless efforts landed him bumping against her boots. His face, already pale with fear, contained a mixture of fear and confusion when he looked up at her. Sliver grinned with white teeth.

"I'd tell her what she wants to know, your friends won't be coming to help you."

Arms folded she decided it was all she'd contribute to the scenario, and let Miria do the rest of the interrogating while perhaps Ettan got dressed....again.
