The comforting hand on his shoulder helped Aedai slip from under the gloom. His hands slipped away from his face as a small smile lit from what was his frown. It was nice to finally talk with someone about it besides his mother, keeping it in was terrible or felt that way. He felt like he made a friend today, "I'm sorry if this wasn't what you expected or wanted and thank you for understanding, he always told me never to venture out alone". It was a lesson on caution that he wouldn't forget.
He had a shiver that had him saying, "At least the food smells nice". He wanted to get rid of the awkwardness that had followed. He felt it necessary to inform Sam before he found out by himself or asked him what he was burying. He didn't wish to share any more besides what had to be done or else find himself sinking into sobs.
