Raiden - Character Sheet

Postby Raiden on December 24th, 2012, 4:09 pm

Character Name: Denene
Race: Ethaefal
DOB: 500 AV
Gender: Male

Physical Description:
Raiden is about 6 feet tall and like all Ethaefal has beautifully smooth skin with no complexion. His hair is a vibrant, bright red that takes on a tinge of the colour of the season, with the red almost disappearing back to his roots during the pinnacle of each season. His eyes are a dark violet, almost verging on purple and have enough silver in them to make them glow in the light.
His red hair is just long enough to be tied back in a neat ponytail with the fringe being short enough to spike up naturally. His face is well defined with a prominent jawline and thin eyebrows such a dark shade of red they appear brown. His body is well developed but lacks the build of a labourer but rather that of a particularly in shape scholar.
He dresses oddly for the age and the area but does not care. He wears huge, black leather boots done up with many clasps though oddly they do not clank or rattle with each step. His trousers are an odd material that is a fine mesh of fabric dyed black and are held up with a belt around his thin waist. He calls the fabric ‘Denim’ and says it was once very common. The trousers have a few black cotton patches and four pockets; two on the front and two larger pouches just above his knees. His shirt is also black and made of cotton. It is quite close fitting and shows off that he is thin but not skinny without boasting any musculature that he might have. On his hands he tends to wear a pair of black leather, fingerless gloves with extra padding on the palms.
The blackness of his clothing really brings out the paleness of his skin, but it just adds to the surrealism that many of the Ethaefal have on people. To top it off his horns protrude from above his temples and follow his head’s contour before flicking upwards slightly near his ponytail.

Character Concept, Personality:
Raiden likes very much to keep his thought to himself. He will often be the one who sits and listens while soaking in all the information, regarding whoever is talking and finding out more about them than they could imagine possible. When he does speak it is seldom ever taken lightly for he speaks with calculated words that fit the scenario perfectly. People understand the wisdom the Ethaefal hold, though he modestly blames it on the time he spent with Leth and Syna and not on his own personal ability. He does not often talk for the sake of talking save for with his friends of which he has few but he trusts these people infinitely, although form time to time he can be quite brash to them but only because he does not know how to handle emotions. Being such a judge of character he likes these people for how real and truthful they are. Their minds are open to the bigger things in life and not its trivialities.
His emotions to strangers usually vary between indifference and spite.

Ethics:
He cannot stand incompetence or injustice. If someone does a job wrongly, half-heartedly or unlawfully he will stand his ground until they back down. Due to this many people take him as incredibly rude and childish as he will also usually act to serve his own needs before considering others but quite conversely will not stand by and watch a thief in action or listen to some merchant rip off an old lady. One could say his ethics are ‘Do no good, but let no bad happen.’

Likes:
He adores animals of all kinds and has a particular friendship with a Kelvic due to this. Walking down a busy street he would greet someone’s pet or a stray dog with compassion and then ignore the owner or anyone he knew.
His hobby and his craft are inventing gadgets, Gadgeteering. His hands can produce some spectacular pieces of work from any old scrap he finds lying around and when he sold them off his blanket he usually attracted quite a lot of attention and was able to modify an old trunk by attacking wheels to it, pakcing it full of his gadgets to sell.

Dislikes:
He hates the Zith and Myrians because of their brutal nature but then again does nothing to stop them because he also believes in letting things sort themselves out, to an extent.

Character History, Precreation:
Raiden was once a young boy Invarta who lived and worked with his parents and sisters in the place now called Skyinarta. As his people had an affinity for birds of prey he also spent much of his time outside during both day and night, listening to his instructors drone on about casting out a bird and ensuring its return. To him these times were amazing because he could see the two physical manifestations of the god and goddess Leth and Syna. He was never taught of them but found out himself what the Sun and moon really were and their beauty captivated him, especially the moon at night. He would run outside many a night and sit gazing upwards at its sad desolate face and feel comforted that he wasn't the only one feeling melancholy. Inspired by his love of these gods he decided one day to start constructing a glass statue to honour them. He was asked what he was building with such care and always replied “the sun and moon”. When it was done they awe it struck in so many people intrigued two people in particular, Syna and Leth.
The statue depicted the world suspended on a glass pillar with tiny green shards making up the continents and blue shards making up the oceans. Around it, frozen in orbit around it were two human like figures. One made out of faintly amber glass and the other from violet. Built inside them were two gadgets the boy had taken from home that emitted light when wound up. Syna shone magnificently during the day and it automatically dimmed and switched to the mellower glow of Lith at night.
Syna and Lith marvelled at it. Lith couldn't believe how beautifully the boy had depicted his love, Syna and Syna marvelled at how the boy had captured her radiance and the calmness and stillness of Lith. On the next occasion they met, plunging Mizahar into momentary darkness they discussed the boy in their brief meeting. It was decided. His soul would definitely be one of the chosen. He loved the skies so much; to let him stay there in that eternal paradise would be everything to him and his statue of them would be made eternal.
Then came the Deity Djed and the boy and his family were slaughtered among thousands. The boy found himself looking at a dark looking woman. Cold encased his body and she looked at him emotionlessly. Suddenly a bright light shone through the darkness and a sphere of light floated between them. The woman stared at it interested.
“Dira, please spare this one. I wish him to be one of our chosen but he almost slipped through our grasp. I was caring for Leth’s wound”
The deity Dira smiled slightly and nodded once, almost imperceptibly and said “Make sure Leth recovers”.
Recent: The boy had aged slightly in the time between his sculptor and the Valterrian. Now a young man he floated in the netherworld among the stars, content and at peace until the day of the Cataclysm; shortly after he was let into the hallowed grounds of the Chosen the rift appeared as Leth was struck. Many souls were lost quickly but he hung on and Syna attempted to stem the tide. But it was too great and the man fell from the sky, slowly, his willpower and Syna’s repair on the rift slowing his decent. Some five hundred years later he reached the limits of the paradise and fell to the ground a mortal man.
When he came ashore, after swimming, two outstandingly beautiful humanoid people were standing quite alone on the beach.
“You are one of our Chosen. Remember that. The day we finally close the rift we shall return for you. Please, we asked Dira once already to spare you, do not die before we finish our task or we may not get you back.” Said Syna
“To make sure you survive… we wish you to accept this. We would give you our own but we agree this should suffice more.” Said Leth. Suddenly a third person appeared out of nowhere. She had an air of extreme importance around her.
“Leth and Syna have asked me to help you… I normally do not help mortals but you are quite a unique person. To aid you I can make you one of my Treavers” her voice was dreamily soft and seemed to speak before she had, then again after.
A blinding flash and a sharp whack hit his left hand. He snatched it up to his face to see what had happened and there a strange mark glowed softly.
“My Gnosis…” she said airily before disappearing again.
“Use it wisely.” Said Leth before he, too, disappeared.
“We will come back for you, so make sure you’re still here… okay?” finished Syna with a faint smile before vanishing.
After gathering his wits the man looked down at himself and around. He stood fully clothed and completely dry on a small, pebbly beach. In the immediate distance was a small town. He headed for it.
My name… will be… Raiden. He thought to himself when he suddenly realised something astounding. He knew who Leth and Syna were but he did not know who he was. The thought troubled him only a little and was soon out of his mind.

Character History, Present:
Raiden used to live off of the streets of Zeltiva until he saved up enough gold selling his gadgets to stay in the World's End Grotto. Handing over the full 18 gold and 4 silver he assured himself a room. Now he continues to sell his wares from his moving stall to any and all.

Hello there! I'm Torchlight, your friendly local Character Sheet Liaison. I'm here to help you get your CS sorted out and ready to go for roleplaying! There are just a couple of things I'd like to help you with. Don't worry! We'll get your character operational asap.

Name
Raiden is a famous character in both the Mortal Kombat and Metal Gear games. Please choose an original name for your PC.

Hair and Eye Color
Your hair and eye color depends both on whether your PC worships Syna or Leth. An Ethaefal who worships Syna will never have violet eyes. An Ethaefal who worships Leth would never had bright red hair, only reddish blonde for the season of Fall. Hair colors change dramatically for every season and he will never keep one color.

Denim
Denim does not exist in Mizahar. There's no loophole around that. ;)

Birthdate
Your PC need a specific "birth" date. Please list the Day and Season when your PC fell to Mizahar.

History and Gnosis
To have a gnosis mark, or to involve the gods in your history, you need Help Desk permission. Please apply to the HD if you would like to get a gnosis mark for your PC. You cannot write the gods into your history without Founder permission either.

Lores
Your lores sound like the skills Glassworking and Falconry. Those are skills, not lores. Lores are specific knowledge that can aid in skills, such as Lore of Purifying Metal Ore, or Lore of Constellations.

Misc
You are also missing a Ledger and Inventory in your CS.

Once these items have been fixed or addressed, please let me know via PM and I'll remove this note.
