The Wilderness of Cyphrus is an endless sea of tall grass that rolls just like the oceans themselves. Geysers kiss the sky with their steamy breath, and mysterious craters create microworlds all their own. But above all danger lives here in the tall grass in the form of fierce wild creatures; elegant serpents that swim through the land like whales through the ocean and fierce packs of glassbeaks that hunt in packs which are only kept at bay by fires. Traverse it carefully, with a guide if possible, for those that venture alone endanger themselves in countless ways.

It has been more than 3 weeks now, each nightmare worse than the one before. Yet Ulthrax doesn't want them to stop, because each time he wakes up, he remembers something more of the day his Rite of Passage happened...The day his 'other self' appeared...

All he knows, apart from the fragments he seems to be collecting these last few weeks, is that everyone but himself died that day. Every Akalak boy of the hunting party, all but him. Once he realized what those strange memories were that seemed to be misplaced and torn apart, he started to note them down in a book.

Today he woke up, again after a nightmare, drenched in sweat and dazed out of his mind. He had dreamt he tried to save an Akalak, but it was himself that he tried to save, from an approaching shadow'y monster that at the end of the dream transformed into a twisted, crazed version of himself aswel. Fleeing and running as best as he could from the horrifying doppleganger, but to no avail, he got trapped and sucked into the being to become an unholy blend of souls.

Meanwhile the him that he had tried to save, simply sobbed and weeped in the corner of the room until the vile being slew him, speaking in an unknown, cursed, language.

But at least he had gained a fragment, a piece of his memory...
