The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

The Fabric from which Time is made

Time: 1st of Winter 511 AV - Early Afternoon
Where: The Temple of Time
Tagged: Open

Astreia had never before seen such a place as the Temple of Time. It had been a long, difficult journey to find the beautiful building, asking a large number of people who did not like to stop to talk to the petite Inarta, especially since she was asking for quite difficult directions. Although she had found somebody to look after Raelli, she did also object to leaving him for the day so the Temple could not have been found soon enough.

Everything in Lhavit was different to Wind Reach, quite to Astreia's delight - it was more exciting, more beautiful and more varied in terms of people, and in such a place, it would be difficult to say which of the many buildings was the most breathtaking, but Astreia was sure that this Temple had to come close. The hourglass shape was quite unlike anything she had ever seen before and she found herself thinking that she should perhaps write a poem it... well, there did not seem to be much of a theatre here for her career as an actress so she really did have to find a career elsewhere, though she had not enough talent. Oh goodness, she thought, what am I going to do?

Astreia walked past the huge statue of the goddess and emerged into the temple, which had very few people in it and was a huge surprise after seeing the outside of the building. She supposed that it could only make complete sense, bearing in mind that it was a shrine to the goddess of time. The inside had aged while the outside had not, which was clever. In fact, she thought that she preferred the inside. There was something very romantic about the ruined aspect of it with the orb in the centre. Slowly, her eyes not looking away from the orb for a second, she glided towards it, her hands fallen by her side, dressed in an emerald green Bryda with high waist, red and blue glass beads around waistband and gold sequins around the left leg, a dark yellow Vinati with red embroidery, and one puffed gauzy sleeve and, on top in order to prevent her from getting cold, a simple goat-skin Katinu of a dark brown colour with knee-high leather boots of the same colour. For some reason, although it was a temple to Tanroa (one of the gods she was devoted to along with Nikali, Cheva, Kelwyn and Qalaya) she could almost feel her gnosis mark from Qalaya burning on her left ankle.

She kneeled down near the centre of the temple, by the crystal orb and, simply looking at it. For a moment, she was almost tempted to prostrate herself before it, but instead she simply crossed her arms across her chest and bent her head down.

"Everything happens to everybody sooner or later if there is time enough." she murmured as a reminder. Something she had read in a book at some point.

The Fabric from which Time is made

"Do you worship this Goddess?"

Grinning like a satisfied cat, Quiarinox sat atop a collapsed pillar overgrown so heavily with moss that it appeared to be made of it. Her red hair was lay loose and flowing over her shoulders and down her back, half shielding her face behind the burnished locks. She hadn't failed to notice that the woman staring at the strange orb was also red haired, but she didn't think twice about the similarity. If she needed common ground, there it was.

"I hear Tanroa is a hard lady to please, seeing as she knows everything there is to be seen in the past and future. It's not like a person can impress her without her already knowing they will, don't you think?" It was a strange topic to start an encounter with. Religion. Everybody had different opinions about it and often it brought life to debates and arguments and wars. Hardly did she expect this speck of life to be strong enough to do anything but be insulted, though.

Sliding from the pillar, she stepped towards the stranger and bowed. When she rose, she swept her red hair from her eyes and stared the girl in hers. They were at an equal height and size and could have passed for twins from behind but their features were completely different. Even so, she decided to give one of many nicknames her whole name had garnered when spelled. She could make due with having people associate both forms with different people.

"My name is Arin and I kind of like it in this temple. How about you?"
