Ronin Invictus Physical Description Name: Ronin Invictus Race: Kelvic - Animal form is a Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) Age: 3 Birthday: 5th of Spring, 512 av Weight: 153 lbs. as a human, 160 lbs. as a cheetah In his human form, Ronin appears to be a slim young adult, with a lean muscular build. He stands at 5'9" In his human form he appears to be about eighteen to twenty-two years of age. He also has medium length blonde hair that always seems to be in a somewhat wild looking style, attesting to his energetic personality. His blonde hair and lean features match those of his other form, a sleek Cheetah, with lean muscles built for large bursts of speed. When he smiles one could see his elongated canine teeth which form small fangs, resembling those in his cheetah form. When he is in his Cheetah form, he appears as a slightly larger than average Cheetah. His eye color remains the same as in his human form, and his coat is about the same color as his hair, taking on a slightly lighter tone, losing the brown hair that is mixed into his human form. His markings, which are quite unique for a Cheetah are much more dense than normal, forming multiple solid black lines running down his spine before merging into one solid black line and running half-way down the top of his tail. Beyond that there is three black rings around the end of his tail, one much thicker than the others before the white fur on the very end. There is also black "tear" marks that seem to run from the corners of his eyes down his snout. The rest of his lean, muscular body, save for his underbelly, which is a uniform blonde color, is littered with many spots, so many that some might even merged to form larger spots. While this type of pelt is quite rare for a Cheetah, it does have some disadvantages. Often, the much more dense black spots could interfere with camouflaging as Ronin only hunts during the day. Character Concept Ronin has a very energetic and charismatic personality. He is also very optimistic, he tends to view a glass half full. He is slow to anger, and has a good sense of humor. When he is angered though, one must tread carefully, his feral side is not completely tame and does surface when he is particularly angered, thankfully this doesn't happen often. He typically only reveals his true personality around people he has known for a good amount of time. Amongst strangers, and those he doesn't know what to expect from he generally has a more conservative attitude, and is less talkative, shy even. He generally has a hard time opening up to strangers, but when he does they are usually presently surprised by the personality they would find. After Bethsyliss's death though, he is not very eager to open up to anyone anymore, and seems to be quite a bit more gloomy at times. This has somewhat improved over the years, but he has spent most of these years in solitude, with no one to console him or reassure him with his feelings of guilt over the tragic event that changed him. He may sometimes not take some situations serious enough, especially potentially dangerous situations. He is prone to being brave, foolishly so. He does this even more so when he seeks to protect those he cares about, those close to him. His bull-headed bravery also translates to his opinions, and he will usually stick to them even if everyone around him disagrees, especially when he knows he is right. Character History Ronin does not remember too much of his early life or parents. What he can recall is that they were both humans, travelers that were traveling with the massive traveling tent city that was Endrykas. Both his parents were unaware of the Kelvic genes they carried, so when they conceived, they most likely planned on having a normal child. When Ronin was born, he appeared to be a normal human baby boy, which is probably why he was kept by his parents. Ronin guesses that his parents got rid of him, probably after the first time he shifted to his animal. Regardless of the cause, Ronin knows his parents abandoned him, because he was not the son they wanted. They had sold Ronin to a slaver, for quite a large sum of mizas, Kelvics being sought after by slavers due to their vulnerable minds when young and their rarity. Ronin spent most of his life as a slave, being traded among many different slavers in the area. The slavers always took extreme care with Ronin, especially as he grew older and saw the slavers for who they actually were as he suffered continuous abuse. Ronin bided his time then, until the perfect moment for escape. When he finally found the opportunity he acted on it quickly, leaving during the night, his master had become foolish enough to leave him alone in his tent after many weeks of playing the completely obedient slave. In his rush he grabbed a small pack and filled it with all the supplies he would need, or at least what he could find in the tent before making a break for it. He also took a large sum of gold mizas with him, about 600 in total from the tent. Ronin ran straight for the desert, it was his greatest chance of escape. The slavers would inevitably give pursuit on horses. While his animal form was very swift, it would only do for short bursts of speed, the horses would just run him down with their much greater stamina. Therefore, the desert was his only option, they wouldn't dare follow him into them. No doubt they would be waiting at the edge of the desert for him to come back, but Ronin would rather try his chances in the desert. In this desert he encountered a Dhani named Bethsyliss whom helped him survive the desert and reach Ahnatep. During their travels and stay at Ahnatep Bethsyliss and Ronin had grown very close. Eventually Ronin found his first bond-mate and lover in Bethsyliss, and they lived happily for a time. For reasons unknown to Ronin even to this day however, he came home to find Bethsyliss dead in their shared apartment, she seemed to have killed herself. These events all happened two seasons past, and Ronin still holds some grief and guilt because of the loss of his bond-mate. He now travels for the most part, although he seeks somewhere to settle down again.
