Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

Hidden along an alleyway, Terra Cottage is residence to the famous potter Garob of Ahnatep. Shelves embellish the narrow facade, each row lined with vessels and each wall littered with plates. The objects are all masterfully done and guaranteed to last, contributing to his well-earned reputation. Upon entering the shop, the front room is sparse and yet the walls are well-decorated. One can find everything from utilitarian pieces to finely-crafted jewelry, all wrought from the red clay of the Bluevein River. There are multiple rooms to the store, the initial simply being the front counter. When browsing an individual could wander from room to room and find anything imaginable; there are whole areas filled with large urns, corners littered with kitchenware and even sections filled with nothing but ceramic adornments - necklaces, bracelets and the like.

ImageThe pricing varies and is considered mostly affordable. Discounts are offered to restaurants, philtering and herbal shops as their need for ceramics is in higher demand. Garob maintains a good working relationship with all other business owners. Though almost all the work is done by him alone, he is always interested in taking on apprentices. A short parchment stack lies atop the front counter for any interested parties to submit for employment. The work is tough but rewarding. It is his fondest hope that he'll find a successor as he advances in age.

The back is a network of spaces all its own. In the storage room lives the products not yet on display. By contrast, the work room houses rich chests filled with moist clay, shimmering glazes and paints, and a giant furnace-like kiln. Here and there are workbenches for the more elaborate detail, such as small amounts of carving and metalworking. There is a spiral stair in the other and final back area, the size of a closet. It leads to an empty apartment where Garob once lived. Finding more a permanent residence in the city, the flat is now open for rent to an eligible employee.

PoB: Ahnatep, Eyktol
Title: Owner of Terra Cottage
Skills: Pottery 65, Leadership 30, Negotiation 25, Metalworking 30, Polearm 30
Gnosis: None
Additional Info:

Garob of Ahnatep is a well-traveled Eypharian. For most of his life, he conducted business in Ahnatep. Clay is scarce in the desert region making his dealings more lucrative. The catch was, it required a great deal of travel. After many seasons of traversing the Kabrin Road, he decided to settle down in Riverfall. It meant a bit more travel, but he'd had enough of the scorching heat and the dusty roads. After receiving his citizenship he began his reputation in earner.

This gentlemen is a vivid personality. He gestures wildly with his arms and tells grandiose tales of his youth. Though still handsome, his skin has begun to line with age. He tends toward introversion, secluding himself ofttimes to the work rooms of the back. Garob struggled with being a workaholic and is only kept in line by his Kelvic Bondmate, Alheira. To counteract his constant activity she shifts into a indolent housecat, demanding attention from all of his appendages. Their relationship was the primary reason for his moving into the city proper.

Garob deals well with customers and is sought out for his unique style. Each ceramic item is crafted with care and evaluated many times before being displayed. His work ranges somewhere in the thousands, easily. Each object is inscribed with a calligraphic "G."

The flat is unfurnished, as when Garob left he took all his possessions with him. The walls have a bit of water damage but otherwise it appears as an empty, spacious attic. The windows are essential as it becomes laden with dust, most especially in the Winter.

The logic behind the ridiculously low price is the requirement that the proprietor must know the individual and have worked with them to offer the place. Those living above the shop are expected to keep a vigilant eye on the objects. It's also intended a measure toward theft prevension.
