My PC started life in Taloba, but moved to Zeltiva in Winter 512. I have about 1 and a half seasons (the entirety of Summer 512 and part of Spring) to play with for this journey, so I'm hoping this is enough time for my PC to make this journey.
So looking at the distance chart, Taloba to Zeltiva in 4000 miles (or km... I wasn't sure which it was), in an as-the-crow-flies way of travelling: I know that this would be a much greater distance when she actually makes this journey. I'm guessing this way would have my PC go:
Falynder -> Cyphrus by boat, then Riverfall -> Zeltiva via land, but trade cart or something similar.
So my questions are:
1) How long would this journey take? If someone could point me in the right direction of how to calculate this (speed=distance/time... Take that GCSE science!), like by telling me how fast the ships from Falynder-Riverfall would go, I *think* I should be able to do the rest...
2) How many days in Riverfall/the places in between, would my PC have to spare? It'd be great to be able to do a couple of days worth of threading in a few places whilst Ayatah made her way to Zeltiva. Again, I think if I got all the right info, I might be able to come to this myself.
3) Finally, would there be any other ways worth of travelling? I've had a quick look at the Trade routes to see if it was possible for Ayatah to come to Zeltiva by boat (this was how I had her enter into the city before I did my research... Foolish, yes, I agree with you!), but it looks like this means of travelling would take much longer and have her port in various cities unnecessarily (for her storyline, anyway)
I'm well aware I should have looked at this earlier, but... procrastination!
