Nivrexis and Zomel Race: Akalak Gender: Male Age: 30 Birthday: 26 day of Winter, 482 av. Birthplace: Mura Appearance: Nivrexis and Zomel are fairly handsome with youthful but masculine features and piercing lavender eyes. Their skin is a deep teal colour and the hair on their heads and eyebrows is as pitch black as night. The two brothers have a slimmer build than most Akalak but are by no means weak, they just prefer to maintain an athletic build. However, like others of their race Nivrexis and Zomel are very tall, standing at a height of 6'5. When it comes to style they both have agreed to keep their hair short and manageable, The long hair of their youth was too cumbersome for their tastes. Were their opinions differ is in there style of clothes, Nivrexus prefers more simple attire with solid colours that compliment his skin. Zomel would rather wear load and daring clothing with strange patterns. Character Concept: Nivrexis is the calmer more level headed of the two brothers, and greatly values hard work and diligence. Nivrexis is fairly quiet but doesn't lack personality, he is very creative and even possess an odd sense of humour that can be seen form time to time. Nivrexis spends most of his time practising martial arts like any respectful Akalak but also greatly enjoys expressing himself creatively through painting and other art forms. Zomel however is a bit more manic and unpredictable, his basic principle is to put himself first. Unlike Nivrexis, Zomel isn't quiet he says exactly what's on his mind. If Zomel thinks you are ugly he will tell you and won't understand why you would take offence to his truthful assessment. His favourite thing to do is fight, He loves the feeling when his fist connects with someones face. Although like is brother art is in his veins as well, where they differ is how they express their art. While Nivrexus prefers more structured works Zomel is more daring and organic. Character History: Nivrexis was born to his konti mother Lyta and his father Romirus on the island of mura. His birth was not a typical one Nivrexis was born with a twin pure bred Konti sister who was named Zoma. It was quickly decided by both of the twins parents that Nivrexis would live with the father in Riverfall while Zoma would stay with the mother in Mura. Nivrexis grew up in Riverfall with his older half brother Rannik who was born of a human mother and his Akontak sister Rika. The three of them were trained heavily by their father in martial arts but most importantly in the way of honour and duty. Of his two siblings in Riverfall the one he was closest to was his eldest sister Rika, to Nivrexis she was more of a friend than a sister. Nivrexis's relationship with his brother however was essentially non existent as Rannik rarely spoke. Parents shouldn't pick favourites but it was clear that his father had a special place for Rannik. The eldest seemed to learn weapons and fighting styles as if it were as natural to him as breathing. The other two weren't quite as focused in combat as their father would have hoped, they had other ways of spending their time. Nivrexis found an interest in painting and Rika was interested in scholarly pursuits as well as the magical arts. These side interests weren't seen seen as desirable hobbies in the eyes of their father but he didn't forbid the two from practising them as long as their main focus was martial arts. The practice of magic was the only exception but Rika continued to practice it in secret with Nivrexis covering for her. At the age of 15, Niverxis was able to defeat a large glass beak with the help of a group of Akalaks of the same age during the coming of age ceremony. While he wasn't very skilled in the Lakan he managed to use the blade his father lent him with some accuracy but his unarmed combat was really what aided him. However not everyone of the small band of youths was successful, a few of the more weaker ones were killed and one suffered crippling injuries. The deaths of his friends made Nivrexis very distant to his family for a time. He was glad however to be given the choice of career and he easily decided on artist. The aspiring artist was taken under apprenticeship by a Painter with almost a century of artistic experience. During a training session with his father, Nivrexis met his darker self. Nivrexis's father had made a comment about his fighting stance being sloppy and before he knew it Nivrexis was on the floor with a bloody nose. He was later told by Rika that he suddenly started yelling obscenities and tried to attack their father. Rika and Nivrexis's Father helped Nivrexis cope with the new occupant in his head and slowly he began to form a healthy relationship with his darker self whom he came to know as Zomel. He was later introduced to Rika's dark self Merith and his fathers dark self Nerro. However Nivrexis has yet to meet his brothers other self but he figures it will happen one of these days.
