Apperance

Rhanos stands at a menacing 7'2". At 260 lbs, he certainly brags an imposing presence. Rhanos possesses a body that is muscular among even Akalaks. This is not due to some genetic gift or natural ability, it is a predictable outcome of the fact that he spends a great deal of time in strength training. His skin is closer to midnight blue or black then cyan or royal blue. His hair bears an almost metallic sheen over its light grey shading. When he doesn't take the effort to pull his hair into a pony-tail, frames his face to the level of his shoulders.

He wears ragged fur armor which drapes around his waist and legs like the bottom of a long coat or a fur kilt. There is a single strap of fur which runs upward and over his left shoulder. This piece of armor is the only piece in his armor set. His spiked gauntlets are, obviously more for the purpose of attack then they are for his own protection.

Character Concept

Rhanos's second soul emerged a few years before puberty had. Until that point, Rhanos had always been strategic, intuitive and had placed a high priority on planning and preparing. In that time just before puberty hit, people began to notice that Rhanos would occasionally act reckless, wild and rash in his decisions. It was easily recognized as his second personality. The juxtaposition of his two personalities was not heavily represented by "good" or "evil." Instead, it almost appeared that his two personalities signified two distinct learning styles. His "light" personality is quiet and studious. He sees the well-known contemporaries of his field as assets to learn from. His "dark" personality fearlessly learns from experience, jumping into situations with little preparation. He views those same contemporaries as competition to be humiliated and defeated.

Character History

Rhanos was raised, by his father, to be a competent wrestler. His assigned destiny was to travel to the world and earn his living as an arena gladiator. After he had hit puberty, he studied the world, learning the strengths and weaknesses of various unarmed combat techniques.

It wasn't until he had traveled to Nyka that he discovered Flux magic. Originally, the "light" side of his personality had spurned the technique as a possible corruption to the idea of his natural strength and the pride that came with that strength. The "dark" personality wouldn't let it go. In the end, Rhanos was convinced that he would be a fool to pass up such a great power. He challenged the pride of a initiate monk-hopeful. He wagered that he could defeat the initiate's (relatively novice) flux abilities with his own brute strength.

After a tough and punishing fight, Rhanos came out on top and his fate was decided. Instead of continuing in his travels, Rhanos established a permanent residence in Nyka. In fact, he never again returned to Riverfall after this fight. The initiate taught Rhanos everything (very little) that he knew and the two spent the next 7 years studying, sparring and training together in the ways of Flux magic.
