Inia bounced along through Avanthal cheerily. She'd had a fantastic, if busy, week, and was excited to work off her reservoir of joy. Even though she was happy at work, she seemed to explode with a manic, childlike energy whenever she had a day off, especially after a long week. Her thoughts strayed from her feet, as they often did.
Having a day to herself was grand, but she found herself with more restlessness than she was able to make use of. A hobby, perhaps. Well, sewing and leatherwork were my hobby, but now they're a job... So why not a new hobby? She smiled as she queried herself. She was certainly an odd sight; she was gesturing to herself and jumping as she walked, occasionally spinning in little mid-air circles. She'd twirl around before turning to walk a different direction, all the while lost in her own thoughts.
“Yes, a hobby,” she thought aloud, attracting looks from passersby. “Something I've never done before, or even thought to do before!” She twirled as she spoke, looking at her surroundings, waiting for a burst of inspiration. “Something exhausting, physically and mentally demanding. Doesn't have to be particularly rewarding, although... Hmmm...”
She twirled again, looking directly behind her. She cocked her head to one side, an eyebrow raised, surveying the archery range from a distance. “Never been in there,” she said excitedly, half-running toward the building excitedly. “Never even held a bow before. Think I saw one shot once!” She smiled as she reached the building, peering in one of the windows. It wasn't easy to see, but she could hear someone inside.
She threw the door open, knocking it against the wall with a loud thud. “Hello!” she said loudly, forgoing caution or politeness completely. “I fancy learning archery, anyone care to teach me?”
