Iselanda Snowsong Appearance Race: Vantha Gender: Female Age: 19 Birthday:15, Winter, 493av Birthplace: Avanthal Appearance: As an Vantha, Iselanda has features similar to others in her home town. For starters everyone has skin that is dark and flawless. Her skin is a lovely golden brown. Although she lives up north where it is always cold, everyone is far from pale. Everyone seems to have a tan where she is from. Another thing is the hair color. Everyone's hair is a dark color. Her hair is black and can sometimes look brown depending on the lighting. Vantha have highlights that reflect off the Aurora and Iselanda hair shimmers a light green. The height for them is unique. You could be short or very tall. Iselanda is one of the tall Vanthas. She is about five feet and ten inches without wearing shoes. The weight also varies from each person. Everyone is small for their heights. Iselanda is 130lbs. She has been that weight for a year or so now and doesn't think she is getting any bigger. All Vanthas have a special feature that differs them from humans if the other features don't. There eyes do not stay one color. Depending on the mood, her eye color will change. Iselanda's eyes turn black when she is angry, hazel when she is happy, a deep blue when she is sad, purple when she is calm, and red when she feels love. Sometimes her eyes will stay purple for long periods of time because she is usually calm, but when her eyes shift from that color they spend plenty of time there as well. She is not the strongest Vantha, but she is stronger than the average human. Where she lives she is considered frail. Her skin is tougher than she actually is so that it can handle the harsh colds. Like most Vantha's she is good with her hands. Anything related to her people she is good at. Character Concept Iselanda is a typical Vantha, but she has special qualities about her that make her special. Every Vantha is a great storyteller, but she tells it in another way. She loves singing. She can turn a simple story into a marvelous song that tells the same exact story. Iselanda doesn't know how to play any instruments which leaves her singing acapella. When she isn't singing to tell a story she dances. The dance is called interpretive dance. It tells a story through her movements and the song playing at the time. Iselanda isn't perfect, but she wishes to be better. As a patient Vantha she is amazing with the Vantha children. She loves telling them tales and dancing with them. She gets along with them so easily. She teaches them how to make their own stories and enjoys doing so. Iselanda prays to Morwen everyday for children of her own, but she gave up on finding a husband when she turned 17. Now she lives day to day treating other Vanthas children like her own. Anger isn't particularly shown in Iselanda. She is a reasonable and believes everything happens for a reason. When she does get mad, she doesn't speak to the person until she has calmed down. She has learned that anger isn't the way to fix a wrong. Being a caring person, she cries very easily. When something horrible happens she is likely the one to cry. Through all the emotion show Iselanda still has a sense of humor. She knows how to laugh or even bring up a funny joke. She loves talking even if it is about nothing she will talk. Making friends is a specialty that Iselanda acquired while being in Avantal. Everyone works together and is nice to people. Sometimes there are issues, but most of the time everyone is friends with everyone. Character History Iselanda was born to two wonderful parents that caused her nothing, but trouble. Her mother, Celise, was focused on Iselanda's future. Always trying to fix her up with another Vantha's kid. Celise would spend hours doing so and it would drive Iselanda crazy. She ended up meeting many different kids that she didn't even know had existed. Celise thought she had found the one for Iselanda when she was 10, but they were just close friends. His name was Kalani. He was partnered up with someone else entirely and had his future set in motion. Besides that, they would hang out all the time despite his future wife's jealousy. They talked about everything and anything. Iselanda trusted him with her whole heart and was proud to be apart of their wedding ceremony when he got married. Iselanda and Kalani were never in love despite what it had looked liked. She still sees him from time to time, but he is apart of a different hold so it is harder. Her father, Ninieth, was another story. He was trying to teach Iselanda that ways of the Vantha people and Morwen. He would push it on her and force her to spend hours studying it for now particular reason. Iselanda eventually believed and become a different person. Ninieth also told her how to defend herself against anyone that isn't a Vantha. It was boring because Iselanda never planned on leaving her, but she allowed her father to teach her. It wasn't much. She would either run away or confuse them by telling a story. Unlike Celise and Ninieth, Iselanda was a storyteller. She has always been one while her parents were carvers. Sometimes she would tell a story about the object they were carving to make it fun. Iselanda knows how to carve, but not very well. She can make a spear and that is about it. She honed in on her storytelling skills and learned different ways to do so. She practiced interpretive dancing and singing. It was something that she got better at. When Iselanda officially turned 17, she was unwed and her mother sped up the proces of her being wed. Celise kept looking for suitors and helped Iselanda transform into a wife that she hopes to be. Ninieth was helping as well, but he just worked mostly leaving her and his wife at home. He hunted for them while Celise cooked. It was simple task and it kept the house running. When Iselanda turned 18 her family took a trip out to Sunberth and it was hours on end. It was different from her natural habitat, but she was forced to go. To this day she still doesn't know the business that her parents had out there. The trip became interesting when she ended up meeting another Snowsong on the way. She found out his story and it was interesting. Her parents didn't want anything to do with him, but Iselanda was quick to learn from him. She found out they were family through his deceased wife which made her ever happier. Iselanda became old enough to venture out on her own and her parents were devastated that their baby girl would be leaving the nest. Some girls stay home until the are wed, but Iselanda wanted to see something besides her area. As a fellow Snowsong they let her free and she got to live in a section pretty far away from them. She felt free, but she was lonely. She is still unwed and she doesn't have a job. It came with a chain for Iselanda to wear around her neck and hold the pendant. It was given to Iselanda before she moved into another arvinta away from her parents. She gave the pendant its own place in her home and she blessed it in the name of Morwen. She prays that she will be able to pass this on.
