The flames Sheva had formed to provide the pair with light seemed only to fill Nikomas' head with more questions. As she listened to the young man's questions her eyes scoped the darkness beyond the fire's light, her feline eyes making it an easy task. She saw nothing dangerous. In the immediate area which was a relief to say the least, her partner had seemed shaken up enough as is. Finally Sheva returned her attention to her companion, "Uhm...Yes an make it bigger and no...I can't make them change colours." she answered, now herself intrigued by the idea of multicoloured reimancy, it would be quite interesting although not very useful other than for entertainment. "Oh and don't worry, I can control it so we'll be fine." A small moment of silence passed as the two young adults trudged on toward the distant city, Sheva had to admit, she liked it, just two strangers traveling together in silence, probably due to her loneliness. Then just like that, the silence was broken as the young man moved onto a new line of questions, her past. Sheva bit her lip anxiously as she pondered whether or not to answer his question honestly, it may not be the best idea to divulge such dramatic and personal information to people she just met. After a short moment of contemplation Sheva decided that there wasn't any real reason to keep secrets, she was completely past what had happened to her, in fact unless someone asked her about it, it never even crossed her mind. She took a deep breath as she thought on where to begin. "Wow, that's actually a very long story, one I haven't told since...Nate... her voice when soft as she was reminded of the young half vantha boy that she had all but fallen in love with, unfortunately she hadn't seen him in a very long time. She sighed before returning to the topic at hand. "Sorry...Uhm well I actually used to live with an old mage in Zeltiva, which is where I learned to do this..." she said, gesturing to the fireball floating above her hand. "...anyway, after he passed away in his sleep I decided to leave Zeltiva and travel around Sylira, but unfortunately before I had the chance I was kidnapped and caged on a ship." She paused in order to gauge his reaction before continuing her story, "I was trapped in the ship for several weeks with no idea where it was headed, until one day I escaped the ship and set it on fire. The ship was near Denval, so I stayed there for a while...well, until the city was evacuated because of the djed storms...aaaand THAT'S how I ended up in Avanthal." she finished, she had maintained a rather nonchalant demeanor throughout her story, choosing to avoid the part about how she had killed a man. |
