Yachluria Forged

2nd day of Spring, 513 AV

Miro had used a Follower Golem to take him to the forge in Sahova. The Yachluria, as it was called. An underground area, likely hot and uncomfortable, but he had things he needed done. For long now he had been thinking of a weapon to suit him when his Djed reserves ran low. It would need something special, the touch of a powerful smith, one marked by Izurdin. It was something he had encountered in the past, in Alvadas. The Isurian smiths there, their elaborate tattoos which connected them to their patron god. He had taken some time to talk with them once when inquiring about weapons. Their craft was superior, as were their skills. He found they were the only ones capable of working with Isurian Steel, the finest material for any weapon, but it was rare and expensive. Often instead they used cold iron, the next best thing. And the weapon he would choose, again something gathered from Alvadas. The weapon of choice for many gladiators, the gladius. A well-balanced, expertly crafted short sword.

This was what he was after, a weapon worthy of being wielded by him. In honor of his fallen brothers and Colosseum, he would brandish it with great pride. Miro found an Order Golem and got its attention. "Excuse me, I would like to place an order for a specific weapon to be forged. A cold iron, Izentor crafted gladius, forged under the name of Miro. I would like to issue payment in advance." The golem issued a Miza receptacle and responded. "That will be three-hundred and sixty gold-rimmed Miza. You will be notified after its crafting has completed." Begrudgingly the undead emptied a large sum of coins into the golem's possession and left the forge. He had no intention of returning to the place until he order was up.

33th day of Spring, 513 AV

Miro had received notice to retrieve his weapon, freshly crafted. He did not want it quite hot out of the forge, but was not keen on people touching it. The only allowed would be the Isurian smith who crafted it and he himself. Of course the inevitable golem would handle it, but such a thing hardly bothered him. Again a Follower Golem guided his way to the Yachluria where he met with a Delivery Golem. "Order to be received in the name of Miro." He said as the creature wheeled itself off. It soon came back into his sight, his blade atop it resting on a velvet cloth. It stopped itself before him and spoke. "Cold iron gladius for Miro. Payment received in advance." The wizard took it and tucked it in his belt under his robe. He was now free to continue on his way and have the Follower Golem lead him back out to the testing grounds. He would soon test the blade's quality and begin his training.
