Annabelle Hammond Appearance Race: Human Gender: Female Age: Twenty two Birthday: 3 Winter 490 AV Birthplace: Ravok Appearance: Annabelle is fairly average in size, standing at about five foot five on the rare occasions that she pulls herself to her full height. Her skin is fair, though her nose and cheekbones are graced year-round with a light and annoying sunburn. She keeps her dark brown hair pulled back into as tight a braid she can manage it, which isn't very tight at all, and as a result there are always a few locks pulled loose, the braid is lumpy and misshapen, and strands of curling brown hair frame her face. When she can tear her eyes away from her papers, her paint, or the ground (an even rarer occasion than Annabelle straightening her back), her light brown eyes appear nearly lifeless, as she prefers staring into empty space to making eye contact with other living beings. Character Concept Quite simply, Annabelle does not understand people. Whatever machine or instinct it is that everyone else seems to have, keying them in to the language of unspoken communication, she was given no such talent. She keeps to herself, preferring the company of the waterfront and her paints to that of people that more often than not become frustrated by her lack of understanding. Character History Annabelle's parents passed away when she was eighteen years old, at which point she moved in with her close friend, Luca, and his parents. Luca had been slowly trying to teach Annabelle how to analyze facial expressions, to bring her back into society, when he was caught by a fatal illness that blew through him in less than three seasons. Because of Annabelle's difficulty expressing any of her sorrow at Luca's passing, his parents threw her out and forbade her from returning to their home. Annabelle is now living on her own, looking for a way to make money now that she finds herself having to pay for her lodging for the first time.
