The Wilderness of Cyphrus is an endless sea of tall grass that rolls just like the oceans themselves. Geysers kiss the sky with their steamy breath, and mysterious craters create microworlds all their own. But above all danger lives here in the tall grass in the form of fierce wild creatures; elegant serpents that swim through the land like whales through the ocean and fierce packs of glassbeaks that hunt in packs which are only kept at bay by fires. Traverse it carefully, with a guide if possible, for those that venture alone endanger themselves in countless ways.

Small clouds of dry dust kick up around the hooves of Neirand as he carries Ellanore along the safe roads of cyprus. She lay back, her long lithe legs draped over his withers, her crisp green eyes watching the sky, her ears twisting and her jaw flexing as she stays alert with her surroundings. Elle has been on the road for less than a day, and soon, it would be dark. The small hairs on the back of her neck prickled at the idea of darkness. She knew she would be fine, being able to burrow or hide in the shadows if she was in trouble, but Neirand would be left out in the open and vulnerable. As much as she would like to keep him from harm, Ellanore knew that if push came to shove she would have to abandon her friend. Her lips twist into a small grimace at the thought, she shook her head to break apart those nasty images, instead concentrating on the sharp calls of small birds and the weak squeaks of mice as they scuttle about trying to get out of harms way.

Twisting her head out toward the horizon, her eyes skim over the tall grass. Elle still had no idea where she was going, but away from Riverfall and toward a bond, was a good start. Long silver locks of hair flow over the rump of her stallion. Grumble. Her stomach complains, it had been a few hours since she fed. Sitting up she gently pulled on Neirands reigns, he stopped with little complaint, his mouth quickly dropping to the ground to nuzzle the grass, nibbling here and there.

Ellanore, sweeps her leg over her steed, dropping to the ground with a light thud. She quickly looks around, after deciding she is alone. She undoes the clasps of her wrap, she tugs at the soft emerald material, it slides to the ground to pool in the dust. A stark contrast against the rough browns of dirt. Just as quickly as it took her clothing to hit the ground, her form ripples with energy, her body contorting into its truest form. The sleek angled curves and short fur of the silver fox, catches and ruffles gently in the breeze.

Elle makes her way into the grass, it runs like fluid around her body, swallowing her into its mass.

Alone I wander

Postby Duce Hazimari on May 9th, 2013, 5:41 pm

It was getting dark and Duce had no luck in capturing anything for the day. He looked up into the twilight lit sky and determined that he would set up camp for the night. He made his way through the grass and found a small opening where he would set up camp when fox tracks caught his attention traveling along the ground. Was this the luck that he was looking for?... He grabbed his Lakans and set out for the hunt. By the freshness of the tracks he determined that the animal could not be far away.

He also noticed foot prints as well, as if someone was walking. Following the footprints he found a horse and supplies but no rider. At first he thought the rider went for a short walk until he saw the robe on the ground not to far from the steed. "That means the fox is dangerous." he thought to himself as he hand fed the horse grass off the ground. Picking up the robe he followed the fox trial hopping that he would finally get the hunt of the day and save a life.

Alone I wander

Postby Ellanore Arkeia on May 12th, 2013, 3:53 am

Footsteps fell upon the grass somewhere behind Elle, her jaw fell open, her ears flat against her head as she fell upon her soft belly against the ground. Her brain was ticking over a mile minute, she didn’t know who was there, if it was hunting her or if she should hunt it. But it seemed large and the scent was musky, like that of a humanoid. She lifted her nose and sniffed, trying to get a more clear scent, she could smell ocean spray and a deep musk, whatever it was, it was male. Deciding to crawl along the ground, Elle snuck through the grass toward this thing whatever it was.

He had been following the tracks for what seemed like an hour now, when he noticed that they started to get deeper indicated that the creature had slowed down, and was probably watching him this very moment. He crouched in the grass and had his Lakan at the ready as he crept through the swaying grass. He slowly continued to follow the trial as the tracks showed more depression in them.Setting up a snare trap and placing a piece of cooked meat as bait, he watched the grass quietly looking for sign of movement. Waiting for his prey to expose itself.

Blue skin. Ellanore’s muscles were so rigid her bones were pressing against her skin, her hackles raised, panting she knew she had to make a decision, quickly. She could not take on a blue skin, she was nowhere near experienced enough to fight tooth and claw with a warrior. Weaving her nose through the grass, she sniffs. The strong smell of meat wafts into her nostrils, her stomach growls. She was so hungry. She slid out of the grass, stepping slowly and softly, Elle’s ears snap forward and her snout drops to the ground, sniff, sniff. Meat and metal, her eyes widen she leaps back, her hackles up she growls searching around her, eyes scanning the grass.

He had seen his prey. It was a sizable if not dangerous creature. He scanned the area for any sign of the owner of the robe that he picked up by the abandoned horse but could not find anyone. He moved in low and slow trying to sneak up on the animal for an easy kill. The grass crunched under his feet lightly with each step he took. He was a getting closer to the animal now raising his weapons for a quick and powerful attack. He took another step and stepped down causing a loud crunch. He froze in place trying not to be seen by the wild animal. Hoping that he may still have a chance to complete the days hunt.
