[Forward Camps] Testatment (Coralie)

Postby Geki on May 12th, 2013, 10:14 pm

34th Day of Spring 513 A.V

Geki already had gotten into the mood for this long awaited hunt. Properly getting armed, donning simple clothing and his gear. A treasured gift from his father. A bronze arm guard fastened safely on his arm, and an archery glove on his leading hand. He was trying his hands with someone in the Unforgiving lands. He knew of a popular hunting ground location in the Forward Camps. Usually prowled by the gracious presence of the Endals and their riders.

He had brought Sanuine who was hovering above them till they made it to the camps. They hadn't made much conversation as Geki was trying to remember exactly where the camps were. Sanuine had provided the needed insight when he was feeling lost.

Though Coralie was quite young. He was also considered very young by Inartan standards. Had yet to improve on being a Rider. But that could only come by doing his job. They arrived in good fashion at the camps. After finally getting some time to relax. He asked, "What do you think about the camp?"

[Forward Camps] Testatment (Coralie)

Coralie glanced over at Geki, and if only for a second she felt unable to speak. Her stance was confident, sure of herself-- as she always made sure it said. But on the inside, she felt as though she were going to puke. Her nerves always did this to her and it took great acting, to say that she felt fine when she was asked.

Her grip on her light, small crossbow was tight, but sweaty. She had to adjust her handling on it numerous times as not to drop it, much less what she was planning on doing in the near future-- hunt with it. She felt foolish with the shortbow, for it wouldn't make much distance and she doubted she would make much of any kills. The only reason she was there was because she was an aspiring Endal. Secretly, of course.

That and because Geki wasn't that bad of a looking guy-- er, Endal.

It took her a minute to realize that he asked her a question. This was completely because she was worrying she'd do bad. Instead, she played it off as if she were deep in meaningful thought. "Oh, yeah. It's decent." she looked up at him with her piercing golden eyes. She had to force herself not to smile, and she noted that his golden eyes seemed to reflect her own.

She knew that if she looked into a mirror she would see a very stern looking young Inartan female, with a neutral facial expression. It's how she managed to stay all the time. It was a habit. A chosen habit. A decision.

Her next decision was to sort of kind of smile, roll her shoulders(trying not to look too nerve-wracked) and say nonchalantly, "Having fun already."

Geki smiled at the question. "Not quite yet. But I do enjoy your company. Its feels different being out here when you have a partner."

He felt the familiar presence of his true partner within his head. Am I invisible now. Sanuine said with a sarcastic tone. The Wind Eagle flew into the clearing, making a gracious landing in front of the two Inartans. He had changed over the years since they had first bonded, his feathers were still black but now had the lining of white around it showing that he was not as young.

Of course not. I'm just- Geki attempted to plead but Sanuine cut him off with a brush of his head and walked away. He smiled at the jealously, Oris would tend to him later.

"We're gonna grab one of these huts. If you want we can stay in one, or I can grab another one. Then we can head out set up some snares." The huts were a bit small but they could have easily fit them both. He just didn't want to come off to demand it from her like that. Though he definitely wouldn't have minded, as he peered at her from the side of his eyes.

[Forward Camps] Testatment (Coralie)

Postby Coralie on May 20th, 2013, 11:51 pm

"No, no, one tent would be fine." she felt the heat rush to her face and she had the embarrassing thought that her cheeks matched her hair. She wasn't too observant, but this was indeed a male we're talking about-- she could see his surprising sneaky glances. It wasn't much unlike her, though. She was the same way, although she made sure to do it when he was up ahead of her and couldn't do so much as catch her unless he turned around. And it doesn't take very much to advert your eyes in that time.
Though she did tend to wonder if he could feel her looking at him.

It had been hard of Coralie not to look awed whenever the bird came flying down, and her urge to caress the feathers was overwhelming. Though she found herself able to hold back and at least smile, her fingers twitched and it was almost agonizing to watch the bird go away. It seemed there was tension between the Endal and his companion, and it shocked Coralie so much that she was shocked to even realize she was shocked. It was basic knowledge that anyone could have arguments, and though she knew it in the back of her mind, it had never occurred to her that people as close as an Endal and his or her bird, could get aggravated with one another. She tried not to linger on that.

She let her gaze fall on the huts-- they were decent sized, yet not large. She had just agreed to room in one of these with this Inarta, but she was wondering if she would regret it. She was already nervous standing a ways away from him. How would she feel even closer?

Her expression was calm, but her mind was racing, as she gestured and mumbled, "Lead the way."
