This is Falyndar at its finest. Danger lurks everywhere - in the ground, in the trees, in the bush. Only the strongest survive...

The place known to the Myrians as Myri’s Eyes is a relic from better times, days of veritable empire and the forging of a unified peoples. Under the Warrior Queen’s stern hand, before her deification, many architectural wonders were built – scattered throughout the jungles of Falyndar. The Eyes are one of the few that still remain intact, or at least of those that are known and not lost to posterity. There are rumours that there are other, similar, structures in other portions of the jungle but as of yet none have tried to find them.

Upon the eastern coast they stand, situated upon a rugged outcrop of bedrock which forms the solid foundations for such imposing monuments. North and east of Taloba, their sacred vigil is still kept in silence as they gaze out to the sea, waiting. Two towers they are, masterpieces of masonry finished in a dour grey facing of smooth shaped stone. They have no discernible exits, nor entrances. Dozens, perhaps scores have searched for them in vain in the surrounding wildlife until defeat has been admitted with shame. It is known that they do exist, though they are yet to be found, for the Eyes once served as watchtowers, their flaming signals designed to be a forewarning to anything out of place upon the coast so that Taloba could prepare itself for possible assault.

They stand some thirty metres apart from one another at their bases, their signal platforms connected by a thin bridge that many believe will come crashing down one day in the near future. As such those whom find shelter there avoid from camping directly beneath, instead opting to pitch their shelters along the outer faces of the towers themselves, facing either towards the jungle or the coastal breeze.

For now they lie dormant, nothing more than a memory of past glory and Myrian ingenuity. Pleas have been heard by Myri, the Goddess Queen, but have been rebuffed with either indifference or scorn. The only thing that she has been known to say upon the matter is that they will be used again – in time. When this time will come none who live know. Still, The Eyes remain a powerful cultural icon for the Myrain race.
