With the new season starting soon, now would be a good time.

Why should you come to Kalinor?

Kalinor is different from the cities on the surface. It’s in a cave. Houses that are shaped like rain drops hang from the ceiling there. They are connected by ropes.

Kalinor is a beautiful city. The Symenestra are an elegant people that prefer brilliant jewel tones, silk and precious gems.

Kalinor is a city of contrasts. Almost everywhere on the surface the Symenestra are feared and hated because they steal women, but their reason for doing so is a tragic one. It is the only way for their race to survive.

The captured women are treated like queens until the birth of their murderous children, but afterwards their bodies are thrown off the web with little thought and left to whatever dwells below Kalinor.

An endless labyrinth of tunnels and caves can be found below Kalinor, filled with strange creatures and the bodies of the dead – and below that are the remnants of a vast lake.

The Symenestra do not only steal women though, they also gather knowledge. They will often bring visitors back from the surface with them, write their stories down and add them to the library

While Kalinor is mainly a city of Symenestra, there are certain possiblities for people from the surface.

Kalinor has really grown recently! A couple of new PCs have decided to come to Kalinor, but there is always room for more!

There are currently two events going on in the city of the Symenestra:

Traders from Wind Reach features rare visitors from the surface that have strange red hair, fly around on eagles and sell all kinds of things made of glass.

In The Morning of the Moths the Moth Queen is chosen. She is a PC, and everybody will be able to meet her!

There are a lot of things happening in Kalinor right now. Several new location writeups are currently in the works.

I finally have an AS, Ensnare. Both she and I want more work (which is a rare occurence, since Mizahar moderators are often overworked). So come, give us something to do and enjoy your threads with us.

Several new players have come to Kalinor recently, but there is always room for more.

Come to Kalinor!

November was a slow month in the City as I was doing NaNo with my PC, but with NaNo and exams out of the way, I tend to dedicate a lot of time to Kalinor again.

Kalinor may currently seem like a quiet city - I've heard that some people have opted not to RP there because of the small player base and because the noderators seem inactive - but I assure you, that isn't true at all.

Before NaNo lured me away, Kalinor had about 30 active threads. Last season we had a masquerade, and PCs were able to adopt kittens, and for this season I intend to come up with more interesting quests.

On top of that, I'll gladly listen to any suggestions you may have and will moderate a thread for you, if you are interested.

Not to mention Kalinor currently has the highest population of active Zith PCs

So if you ever wanted to play a Zith but were worried you wouldn't have anyone to play with, you have no more excuses! Come to Kalinor! Bring Zith! (If we get enough maybe we can even take over )

There is a lot going on in Kalinor!

There is a thread where you can go fishing in an underground lake. There's an avalanche taking place.

Sometimes after New Year, there will be a quest centered around the Zith, and there will also be a Symenestra cooking thread where Symenestra cook with blood and liquify things with their venom!
