It was an early morning for Ohirin, he was getting supplies for his upcoming trip to Nyka and he needed to buy 70 days of food for himself. Ohirin was walking through Zeltiva with his horse, prepared to pack supplies on to it and to be ready to leave in just two days. He only had 55 gold miza's or so to spend. He already had all the things he required to camp and survive on his own but he couldn't survive without food and he was not able to hunt to get food for himself. He was planning on his horse feeding on all of the wild grasses that grew abundant in the summer time. Water was not in short supply in the lands of Mizahar, lots of good streams and rivers to drink from and to fill his water skin from.
He was planning on buying 10 pounds of salted pork, 4 pounds of smoked beef, 1/2 pounds of raisins, a pound of rice and a pound of lentils. That should be enough for the trip, if rationed properly. Ohirin thought. The first stop he had to make was to a butchers shop to buy the preserved meats he required for his trip.
As Ohirin entered the butchers shop the smell of blood and meats washed over him with their sticky-sweet scent. It took all of 5 chimes to get the meat and get out again. The butcher was selling the smoked beef for 3 gold mizas a pound that day so Ohirin managed to save an extra 4 mizas. He hadn't planned to hit the sale it was just good fortune that he only had to spend 42 mizas.
The second place he had to go to was a small stall he found on the street which happened to be selling both the rice and the lentils he was buying, however both were marked up a half miza and Ohirin, not thinking to look for a better price just bought them then and there, spending another 8 mizas. Ohirin somehow managed to forget the raisins he was planning to buy and just headed back to the tent he had set up on the outskirts of the town, happy about only spending 50 mizas, to sleep and get ready to leave in the morning, remembering to put his supplies in his tent as an extra precaution.
