Anyone else nervous?

First time forum roleplaying here, and in a completely unfamiliar setting for me. I joined on a friend's invitation, 'lo there everyone. I like the looks of that Akalak race, hope to see everyone in the RP and on the field, good day.

Does anyone know of a simplified list of steps in order to begin roleplay?

Getting started for the first time can be a bit confusing, but there really isn't a single way to do it. The biggest thing I'd suggest is coming up with a direction you want your character to go in, because once you know where you want to end up getting then walking can become a lot easier. Once you've got that down, hit up someone in the city you've decided to start in and get a thread going.
