Cherayt Basic Info Race: Inarta Caste: Endal Gender: Female Birthday: Season of Spring, Day 49, 492 AV Age: 21 Birthplace: Wind Reach Appearance Cherayt is bright ginger. She has light blue-green eyes and light pink lips. Her hair is one of the more lighter shades of red among the Inarta, but still has the typical fiery hair that makes them the way they are. Character Concept and History Cherayt was Yasi before becoming Endal. She was one of the few who was raised a bit by her Dek parents until they got murdered by some bandits. Cherayt was five, and quite old to be taken to nursery. She did not like it, but law was law. She was taken to nursery against her will. Many a time did she attempt to escape but they always kept a watchful eye on her. On her eighth birthday, her resistance grew even more as she was forced to go and learn to be more independent with many families. There she found her love for birds, as is typical for the Inarta - Inarta who do not hail birds are unheard of for her. Despite her unwillingness she found that she cared for the people who had taught her and began to care more for birds. She was given more chores but birds were her best interest. At the age of fourteen, she was not offered apprenticeship anyway. She was looking around for jobs as soon as she could - that was before she met the one. The one Wind Eagle that would later, be fated to become bonded with her - for life. She had seen this magnificent Eagle and followed it. She had spoken to it and it listened, rarely replying in Nari. They had talked and talked and each time the friendship between Inarta and Eagle was growing stronger - yet each time the Eagle regretfully shook its head and could not accept the offers to bond. Her fifteenth birthday approaching and still with no apprenticeship done, she was panicking. Would she reduced to Dek? The drudges were no place that she wanted to go. The Yasi were barely better but she would do anything not to end up in the drudges. She confided more in the Eagle, began to trust her more and more, until one day, Cherayt saved the Eagle from a terrible fire in the forest, and she was bonded. It was a miracle come true. She would not be reduced to drudges. And so the Eagle revealed her name for the first time - Shlokia. Cherayt is now an Endal and lives in Wind Reach with Shlokia, one of the few who truly understood her. And she knew that she understood the Eagle. They were bonded and were complete when together. She knew this bird was not just an eagle - she was a companion. For life. Shlokia Wind Eagle Age: 10 Birthday: Season of Fall, Day 11, 502 AV Gender: Female Appearance Shlokia has keen brown eyes and light brown feathers, with a dark chin and chest. She has some specks of white in her feathers. Her wingspan is averagely about 36ft long, and is adored and looked after by her beloved bonded companion, Cherayt. Character Concept and History Shlokia was raised in the nest with her two fellow eagles, her brother and sister and was raised and taught to hunt, feast and catch prey. She has stayed native to Wind Reach for all her life and is not keen on the idea of going. If her rider ever had to travel on a trade route, she would go but if out for too long, the longing to return will break the bond and she will regretfully turn her back. She was flying through the sky when she first saw Cherayt, her future Endal. Her future companion. She had sensed that this woman would be ready for the eagle at some point - but it was not now. She sensed it would be soon. When the eagle heard her fifteenth birthday was approaching, Shlokia knew the feeling. She would go and bond this Inarta when all hope seems lost. When it looked like she would be reduced to the drudges. For a year had the two been best of friends. Cherayt confided many things to the Eagle, many secrets she had never told before, had wept in front of the Eagle about things she would have been shamed to speak about in front of the other Inarta, who are brave fighters and a people filled with courage. Now that the bond is complete, they happily do their duty to Wind Reach as Endal and Eagle.
