Tar's Mind

Tar is a simplistic, willful child. Not unkind or unlawful to a degree but she can be a bit of a brat. If she is hungry, she finds food however she can and eats. If she is tired, she will find somewhere to sleep. If she needs a bathroom she will likely go where she pleases. Tar likes to talk, often repeating herself in her excitement. She dislikes studies and does not understand the difference between humans and Gods so she worships none. She has a strong sense of personal space and dislikes being touched unless she knows the person well. Tar dislikes large crowds but loves loud noises. Her dislike of studies leaves her without the ability to read or write but she can speak Common and understand both Common and Jamouran well enough. However, while she can speak Common she chooses to stick to sounds and repetitions of simpler words like: hungry, sleepy, danger, pretty, ugly, mine, smelly, what, why, how, etc. When prodded for more information she will give short answers or blurt out nonsensical nonsense. For all her love of sound Tar reacts more to body language and tone than the actual words. She tends to wear her Tarsier form until she is more comfortable with a person because she feels stronger in animal form and people will take her more seriously or they will leave her alone thinking her to be nothing more than an animal. Tar is aggressive when provoked and does not like people entering her territory or touching her things without permission but will usually not attack as it is mostly posturing. If she is scared or cornered it is a different situation and she will go to any length to defend herself. Like many Kelvic she aims to please and adores praise but she is searching for the right praise, the praise that will make her complete and complete someone else as well. She often holds the persona of a lost child who refuses to admit she needs helps finding her way home.

History

Tar was born in the Spires from a combination of two Ariel Kelvics. The bondmates of her parents had hoped she would bond with their child when she was of age. The odd grouping stayed in the Spires until Tar was two seasons old but when they left Tar refused to go with them, opting to stay in the tree city. Able to care for herself entirely at this point both her parents and their respective bondmates left, informing Tar that if she ever needed them they would be in Alvadas and that she was always welcome. With her they left a few Miza, and a Kelvic collar should she ever need to hide what she is. The Kelvic continued on in the Spires until she was just over a year old when many Jamoura began to evacuate the city, not wanting to be left alone Tar accompanied a small group who travelled to the icy city of Avanthal.
