"Of course, of course," Malvora nodded at the assessment of her companion. Magic was experimental. How could one learn without experiments? It just hadn't occurred to her that eons ago, there were no rules, no paths to follow. There was simply experimentation and risks in the creation of the branches of magic there were today. Those long ago wizards had been taking a great personal risk in working with the magic, she couldn't even begin to fathom the number of fatalities and injuries (both mental and physical) that had been sustained. Magic was dangerous yet today. Experimental magic would have been even more so.
"As long as I know what they mean though...isn't that the important part? It's my magic. I'm not sure I would want to have it available to the general public. Wouldn't it be safer if I had to decipher my glyphs?" She pondered that for a moment. Glyphing was about writing magic, in a way. The basics behind it were confusing at times, but she imagined they would be cleared up when she finally went to class. After all, wasn't that the point of a teacher, to try and help clear up concepts that may be vague.
"A pattern would be helpful, no doubt. If there was a certain..." she trailed off, "common theme in all the runes." She was more thinking aloud than actually addressing her companion, but she spoke in such a way that she hoped he would still feel included. His help would be valuable to her once she finally got to class.
