Stretching northward along the coastline of the Suvan Sea, the Cobalt Mountains are the home of the Bronze Wood, numerous ruins, and creatures both strange and fantastical.

“Let’s eat food --- we --- talk.” At Voreasos’ words the young woman nodded her head slowly. She had stilled, at these fanged smiled and trailing claws, but now the press of lips to her cheek, made it very difficult to be leave the waking affections, were a lost man in a dream most likely dreaming of his woman.

The thought gave her pause, now no longer panicked and trembling. The pale one had made no move to move on, to leave, to continue on to where he was possibly going. He stayed and lingered as much as she had herself. And somehow, they had… fallen into a strange type of…. Courtship.

The red fruit was placed beside her and after a moment, she lifted the sweet smelling fruit to her lips and took from it a single bite before her crystalline eyes rose to the Symnestra within the private space with her.

He was hardly a man ever she met; eyes like blood, nails so much as blacken claws, fangs. Were it another or mayhap she had not spent nights wrapped up beside him, nights across the fire, times of eating together, she surely would have fled. Had that not been the part of her panic, the half remembered dream as well as the wakened lust?

She chewed softly before eyes rose back to Vor, and her voice came softly. “Vor, from the Tents of the people of the Spider?” She looked at him waiting for confirmation before her eyes lowered a gain and a moment passed before the rose once more, a timid curiosity shone.

“‘Devour a lover, with a kiss’?”

Vor did not make a sound as she picked up the fruit. He was not mad at her nor even worried overall but his heart did skip a beat when she asked him if he was from the spider people. He had guessed that the term tent in her case may mean nest to his people. He knew he could not lie to her but even if he could he would not lie to her.

“Yes.”

It was a simple word yet that word meant so much more once it left his lips. He had to wonder how she would react yet if she asked then she had to know some of his race before now.

For her next question he just let his mouth hang open. The spider like fangs slowly moved down as they dripped a clear liquid onto one of the fruits as a sizzling sound was heard as it tried to break down the fruit yet just was not enough to do much damage on the outside. Yet enough to show it was a danger. He then just let the fangs move back in his mouth as he closed his mouth.

No words left his lips as he waited for her reactions or reply to what he did. A small trace of fear was growing in his stomach. Waiting.

The air quickly filled her lungs, as she silently gasped as his mouth opened and fangs were seen. She leaned away from her companion, yet no fear was seen yet, there was awe and apprehension.

Yet as the single drop slid down Vors’ fang and fell upon the fruit skin, the sizzling sound, of cooking filling the tent, the first trickles of fear filled bled into sparkling blue eyes. Her fingers tightened on the fruit and she held it near as if it were dear, close to her chest as she shrank away.

Those eyes looked upon the Symnestra as if they were the first time she had seen him and after a moment, her throat swallowed before she licked her lips. “I, am food? Food?” The second ‘food’ was emphasized as the dancer brought her fruit from her chest up to bare to the man before her. She eyed the one who had slept by her side, saw to her meals, who held her near in slumber with the realization he was more of a stranger than she had ever realized.

His red eyes showed the sign of pain as she moved back from him. The look of fear crossing her soft eyes could bring a tear to his heart. He knew that it was to be seen as a danger but he moved his hands warping them around her wrist.

“No. You are not food.” He said as he brought her hands to his lips kissing them. “Not food ever.” Yet he did not stop with soft kisses on her hands as he pried a finger free. “Feel and trust me.” He said firmly as he raised her finger letting her feel the teeth. He was stronger then she was but he would not hurt her.

Yet she needed to understand that the poison was just a part of him like his fingers were to her. As she had full say over her body he did as well and would show it by letting her feel his fangs and not let anything come out.

A soft sound escaped the woman’s throat as Voreasos caught her wrists in his hands. She struggled against his grasp pausing, not at his words, but the gesture. Her form trembled in his grasp as his lips pressed to her limbs, yet he did not since those fangs into her flesh. In all his touch like before was gentle.

Yet he took a single finger free of the rest and opened is mouth. The Benshira struggled against the grip that drew her near. The wordless cries softened to whimpers as Vor brought the single finger to his mouth to touch his fanged tooth.

The moment released the woman had increased the space between them huddled away her hand clutched to her chest as if it were a wounded babe. Her wounded gaze lowered from the Symnestra to her hand a finger slowly ran along the digit that touched the fang. Her flesh did not sizzle, nor burned. It was neither cut nor blistering. Her eyes went to the pale one for a moment before lowering back to her uninjured hand. She wasn’t hurt, shaken, but whole.

“’Not food ever.’ Promise.” The words were said with such seriousness as light colored eyes looked at the spiderling, she was still so uncertain, but she was whole, an seemed at the moment not to be fleeing.

Zaira eased closer, slowly and held out her piece of fruit, “Food.” She held it towards the man and the look of her gaze spoke clearly, she wished to see him eat.

Vor sigh softly as she told him to eat some food in front of her. He knew she meant in his sense that would show just how human he has been acting in front of her yet it was all to keep her safe. His claws took the fruit ripping a part of it up into a chunk so she would still have the main part of it.

His fangs pushing slightly forward as he took a bite into it. The poison flooding out of the fangs into the fruit quickly burning it down into a mush like substance. He just moved back waiting for a few seconds before biting down again. A soft sucking sound filled the tent before he dropped the fruit or what was left of it. What was left was not even what a person could call an empty shell yet he did not mind that. His tongue slowly licking his lips before looking at her. His eyes filled with an unsureness of how she would react.

He did not say a word as he looked at her with his red eyes. Almost like a statue watching her for even his own breathing was held slightly. Waiting for the answer to her question after he showed her. If she ran he might let her go yet he would not just let her have another panic attack like she did earlier.

Her eyes watched him, watched the fangs he wore and held herself against the tremble that moved through her form as he pierced the fruits skin. For a moment there was nothing. But watchful eyes saw the crisp firm piece of fruit, seem to wither inside, to collapse partly upon itself, and grow soft. IT was, peculiar; Zaira watched the spiderling, flinching at the sucking sounds, yet watched in silent fascination.

The deed was done, she had gotten the proof she had desired, yet as the creature licked it’s lips, and looked to her. Uncertainty seemed to fill it’s crimson gaze and for a moment, it, had changed back to him, and he was Vor. A stranger in so many ways, yes, but one that Yahal permitted to remain, who shared her tent, who brought her fruit’s to eat, and company.

Sapphire eyes lowered way from the pale skinned man, and she twisted her fingers in her hands. Truly, she should flee, to flee away from the danger she’d unknowingly been courting night after night, day after day. It would be the prudent thing to do. Yet somehow, that seemed to be a betrayal of trust. But then again so was eating your companion.

One could lead to hurt feelings, another, and her surely dead.

Pale teeth caught a gentle lip before shoulders rose and fell… things, were, complicated now. Needed more thought, one a number of levels surely. Yet Zaria lifted her eyes and the apple in hand, “Food.” She said before taking a bite, her mind was in thought, but her for now, some things would simply have to continue as they had, even them sharing their meals together.

Surely some sense in all of this would come.
