Spring, 512 AV, Somewhere Outside of Endrykas
It was the later hours of a heated spring day, the sun casting shadows across the weak plains as animals of cuddle and deadly repute roamed the terrain. Few of proper sapience as a blue-skinned Akalak sat among a rock, tracing his nails along it's hardened surface as he studied it and the plains that surrounded him idly. He sipped from a waterskin as the heat beat down on him, Lydan didn't know why he considered taking this trip to Endrykas. It was like his Rite of Trial or Rite of Passage but without the potential for reward or accomplishment. It was at this point that he was bored amongst his own thoughts, and tired. While he contemplated searching the place for a friend or companion of familiarities, he ultimately decided against it. He was exhausted, and would have little to no future energy to roam the tent city in search for his particular friend. He instead took to sitting there, resting on the rock and staying immersed within his own monologue.
He took a few swigs from the water skin, and grunted at his slowly cooling skin. He had taken his shirt off in the heat and was regretting it now, as the dusk's breeze cooled across him easily. He pondered on what he would do here during his stay, and how long he would stay for that matter. Should he really go looking after his friend after all? His thoughts were interrupted by an animal skittering across the plain some distance ahead of him, unidentifiable to him though, he heaved a sigh out and relaxed back. Though he realized his vulnerability to bandits, thieves, or any ill-seeking peoples, he knew it was unlikely any of such people would dare face against an Akalak. No matter how undisciplined or novice he appeared.
