[center] Inca [center] Basic Information Race: Human Birthday & Age : 28/13th January Gender: Female Physical Description Her most prominent feature is her richly red hair, a slightly lighter shade than that of blood. At first glance she is often mistaken for an Inarta. She wears it perfectly straight, in a ponytail when she is outdoors or working. A single, undecorated braid dangles over her left eye. Her eyes are bright green although they are usually hidden behind a pair of finely crafted Inarta eyeglasses tinted a rose colour. (This has become her own private joke). She is remarkably tall for a human woman, standing 5ft 11". Her clothes are usually simple, making use of comfortable leather boots, slacks and tunics that she keeps unbuttoned as much as public decency will allow. She also wears a long, black fabric coat that hangs a few inches above the ground. Inca is also quite well built from a life of spelunking, most notably her arms which is a requisite of drawing the longbow she is an expert with. Character Concept Inca embodies the spirit of a rurouni, a wanderer. She values her own freedom and will above pretty much all else. She has a family but she is only in any kind of contact with her younger brother. Anything more than this is just something that would tie her down. Another trait she shares with the Inarta is her complete lack of tact and social pleasantry. She says what she thinks or she doesnt say anything at all. Some people don't take kindly to this. That being said her life has shown her that the ability to twist words or lie outright is a valuable skill and she has become quite the adept at it. First impressions of her are usually that she is rash, reckless and lacking any kind of thought for the consequences of her actions. This is only half true. She tends to follow her heart, acting on instinct and gut more than rational logic. if something seems like a good idea at the time then she'll do it and she thinks its better to seize a moment and have it go horribly wrong than wonder what might have been. Once again these traits get her into trouble more often than not. And trouble does occasionally follow her. Sometimes she gets involved in shady, less than legal activities. But she'll draw the line at killing or other outrightly callous acts. anyone trying to force her into this might suddenly find that she changes sides on a whim. Basically she is a kind of human liquid, flowing into whatever shape the situation requires of her. Character History Born into a normal, merchant class family in Syliras, she was an entirely abnormal child. She was taught the same skills as all young girls but she much preferred the very male passtimes of tearing through the streets and disobeying those in a position of authority. She was 11 when a city guard first slapped her in irons for breaking a boys nose. As it turned out the act had been in defence of the younger one he'd been terrorising. This set the tone for much of her early life. Inca would regularly get into fights often without any regard for whether she had any chance of winning them. The problem was that she couldn't stand to watch bullies get away with it. By the time she was 13 she was a better brawler than many of the men who would end the evening draped across the floor of the local tavern. And this was only the mildest of her habits. if something was new and exciting she would try it for fun. This often results in damage to herself, property, other people or her clothes. (although that was more the concern of her mother than her). Her bother, Luca, was born when she was 10. He was the only thing she felt any kind of responsibility toward. Inca played the unlikely role of guardian and second mother to the boy. Much to her parents distaste she succeeded in imprinting many of the values she'd chosen for herself onto him although he lacked the same thirst for adventure that drove her. Aged 16 it seemed that her parents finally had enough. They threw her out onto the street with nothing more than the clothes on her back. However she'd developed more than a little talent for pilfering and knew the streets of Syliras better than the most sinister of rogues. Survival wasn't much of a problem for her. In fact in this element she discovered complete freedom and she thrived. She discovered that there were more than a few people ranging from peasants to nobles who would pay for a skillset like hers. In six months she had enough mizas in her pocket to escape the place for good. She remained in the city until she was 18, all the while sneaking back home to see her brother whenever the opportunity presented itself. This practice continued even after she left. Aged 20 she found herself in Inarta. At the time it was a place to lie low after a botched piece of thievery but she found she felt an odd kind of kinship with these people. Something about living free amongst the sky and the clouds appealed to her wanderer's nature. She meant to stay for a month, instead she stayed for four years. long enough to pick up some of their strange language as well as make a few very close friends and pick up the glasses that she almost always wears. Not to mention her share of trysts with this liberal people. However the lust for the road finally overtook her and she packed her things and headed for the cities, any one would do. This is how she spent the next few years.
