In the Valterrian, the divine realms of Syna and Leth were broken and many of the righteous they claimed from the cycle of life and death fell to Mizahar. The fissure is being healed slowly, but claimed souls continue to slip through. These displaced creatures are marked by beauty from dwelling with the divine. When their god falls from prominence with the day or evening though, they return to the shape of an earthbound race.

With a slender build and toned muscles the Ethaefel walks gracefully and confidently under the silver moon that is her God. Her height is 5' 7" and her face is the place of all beauty. Her lips are plump and pink, face a heart shaped canvas for her opalescent, yet a bit silver, skin. With her daring cobalt blue eyes and thick brown lashes and eyebrows that caress her facial bones. Down to a prominent nose in the middle of her silvery canvas finishes the painting of her godlike features.

As Syna rises and Leth descends, the angel of the moon changes her form to fit with the rest of the people around her. Her color changing hair turns into a singular, year-round reddish blonde. Her eyes dim their piercing cobalt to a comforting sky blue. Her shiny skin loses its glitter and becomes a slightly tanned white. Although her build and stature stay relatively the same, her majestic horns vanish and she becomes a boring, simple human once again.

As one of the Fallen, Yihfilia bears a great love for her patron God, Leth. Leth, the God of the Moon, Change, Reflection and Thought is Yihfilia's most favored deity and most beloved person whom which she knows of. Although she regrets falling back into the mortal world, and thus becoming mortal herself, she makes the best of it, makes it fun and pleasing, in her own dark manner of ways. Yihfilia is an odd woman. To Yihfilia her time on Mizahar is limited and one day she will rejoin her God. While she waits she wants to be important. She wants to be revered, like she was when she was divine. And for the time she resides here she will work her way to the top. No matter what it takes.

Being what she is Yihfilia changes form once Leth descends back beyond the horizon. She returns to her human past life which she hates. Her human form to her is small, weak and fragile. No kind of woman to rule or have any kind of power. She often hides away during the day, her business really only needing to be done during the dark hours anyway. When she does go outside she is another person. She calls herself Anne, the name of the past life that she looks like. She is a simple commoner who knows how to stay out of trouble and be peaceful within the dangerous city in which she resides. But Anne is not often seen and does not often meet new people. But when Yihfilia is not hating her sunlight self she does go outside and mingle with other young commoners. But this occurrence is rare and strange and she rather stays inside.

History

The fallen souls were snatched from an immortal, spirit state and slammed to the broken world of Mizahar. Souls who had been drawn out of the cycle of life and death by Leth and Syna found themselves mired by earthly concerns again. They awoke on strange coasts and new waters formed by the sundering of the land. Their communion with stars and gods had shuddered to an end. After fighting for the shore, this host of people struggled to fathom what memories they still possessed. Their bodies were changed: made solid and subject to mortal failings.

Ethaefal

Pre-Creation:
37th of Summer, 472AV ~ Yihfilia falls through the divine fissure that is not yet healed from the glorious battle between the Gods during the Valterrian. She plunges, naked, into the cool Suvan Sea just on the outskirts of the notoriously dangerous city of Sunberth. She arrives in Mizahar striped of all her memories except her divine name and little flashes both of her life above the fissure and her immediate past life as a human. The need to swim for shore is instinctual and she makes it to the sandy pier. Breathing heavily she tries to call out her name, only to find that her mortal lips can not replicate its sound. Only the sound "Yihfilia" comes forth. She spends her night on the sandy beach, scared and helpless, unable to defend herself from one drunk man that stumbled by and saw her Ethaefalian beauty. She survived the encounter as the man soon passed out half-naked beside her.
As Leth descended she became frightened. Her God was abandoning her in her time of need and a bright new Goddess rose after him. She felt and saw as her body changed into that of a human whom she recognized as a woman named Anne, her human past life. But she survived the change and began to search for a way to live. First she searched the unconscious mans body for things of use, stole some clothes, money and a bit of food and tools. Then she searched for where the mortal came from and she found Sunberth, where her new life would begin.

427AV - 443AV ~ Yihfilia survived in Sunberth, learning the ways of the mortals through careful inspection and observation. She learned how to blend in and how to work for food and money. She became a waitress as one of the restaurants about Sunberth, where she learned to protect herself from drunken men and perverts, like the one on the beach. She came out mostly while Syna was prominent, she went by the name of Anne, as a human. In this part of her life she learned all she needed to know about civilization and how to survive in a criminalistic city like Sunberth.

443AV - 500AV ~ The Ethaefal learns more about the criminals and leaders of Sunberth. She becomes interested and tries looking into Robern Dalagnar's empire. Yihfilia feels the need to become someone important, someone of meaning in the mortal world. She believes that while she is awaiting her return to her God that she needs to be as worshiped as she was when she was divine. In Sunberth the closest thing to being worshiped was being close to Robern. During these years she learns more about his rein but she does not yet know how to begin to enter it.

500AV - Present ~ Yihfilia learns how to become part of Roberns rule. Even if it is starting at the bottom. She stops being her everyday Anne and starts to hide that self. She becomes Yihfilia, the Angel of the Moon, and trains herself in skills to become pleasing to the criminal ruler. She learns of Roberns daughter as well, and tries to think of ways to get near, and befriend the girl to get closer to her father as well.

Post-Creation:

And when the second day of their rebirth came, a new misfortune plagued the fallen creatures. When Leth faded to make way for Syna and her light, or Syna bowed out for Leth to glow, their followers shifted in form. While their deity shone, the creatures were beautiful, but when the light changed, their form faded and contorted to an ungraceful race. They were doomed to return to the shape of an earthbound life.

The first man who, having enclosed a piece of ground, bethought himself of saying "This is mine," and found people simple enough to believe him, was the real founder of civil society. From how many crimes, wars and murders, from how many horrors and misfortunes might not anyone have saved mankind, by pulling up the stakes, or filling up the ditch, and crying to his fellows, "Beware of listening to this impostor; you are undone if you once forget that the fruits of Mizahar belong to us all, and Mizahar itself to nobody."

Knowledge

Pain and foolishness lead to great bliss and complete knowledge, for Eternal Wisdom created nothing under Leth in vain. As with entire ignorance is not so terrible or extreme an evil, and is far from being the greatest of all; too much cleverness and too much learning, accompanied with ill bringing-up, are far more fatal. While the learning and knowledge that we have is, at the most, but little compared with that of which we are ignorant.
