Gravon (Loose Interpretation of Character) Basic Information Name: Gravon (Also known as "Blackbane" or "Blackstrom") Race: Mixed Breed (Isur + Vantha) Birthday & Age: 8th Day of Fall, 479AV / 31 Gender: Male Physical Description One of the most notable things about Gravon's appearance is the fact that is he no doubt the largest Isurian man within his community. Thanks to Vanthaian blood, he stands at a comfortable height of 5'9" combined with the intimidating build of the Isurians (232 lbs.). He also has long wavy black hair with forest green highlights; Gravon's eyes are similar with vibrant emerald colors swirling within his irises. Facially, he has the low Isurian brow, sharply shaped eyes, a thick, yet straight nose bridge; and an average, though well-built chin. These Isurian and Vanthaian features seem well placed and are above-average in attraction. Other details include a signature black left arm with silver veins as Gravon is from the Pritrius Clan and an light olive skin derived from his Vanathaian biology. Concept Gravon is an unstable individual with an opposing personality. A constant war is always aroused within his mind as the Vanthaian part of himself seeks to overwhelm his withdrawn state of mind. He's unpredictable too, either acting as still and quiet as a stone, or as ragingly fierce as a winter storm. He has a lot of passion and a lot of despair that wears his mind down to a point where even drinking would have no effect. It does not mean, however, that he is without a sense of morality. Gravon always seeks to give mercy to those who ask for it, but his distrusting nature and unbalanced personality will strike down any man or woman that seeks his life. There is no such thing as peace to him. On the other hand, he is not as brutish as one might assume. There is a cleverness found underneath his reserved self, which combined with his cautious nature affords him a heightened sense of awareness. He does not like to be surprised and is almost always on guard. Because of that, Gravon likes to distance himself, staying no closer than two feet near any person. Biography The conception of Gravon began on the first day of Spring within Sultros, which so happens to be the Isurian holiday, "The Day of the King". His mother, named Gravi, was a low noble within the house of Pitrius and fairly young for her age. So it was not so much of a shock when during the daily festival, she found herself entranced by a Vanthaian actor that was apart of a traveling troupe of entertainers. It was a rare event for the Isurian city when visitors from the north would go through the trouble of facing harsh terrain, and thus also rewarded lucratively to act out plays and show off their artistry. In Gravi's case, it was the only night she'd be able to be together with this foreigner she was so oddly attracted to. Generally, Isurian women are attracted to the strength or skill of their men, but fate seemed to alter such perceptions that night. Eighteen months passed and finally Gravon was born into the Isurian world where he would grow up as the inferior bastard to a clan of scholars and famous magicians of the Sentinel order. He was small and scrawny as a child too or at least so in Isurian terms, compared to how large Isurian children usually were as they aged. As such, Gravon took to his education and particularly enjoyed the art of weaponsmithing as well as practicing with whatever weapon he could get his hands on. The only thing he earnestly had to learn by himself was how to fight, as he was often belittled and beaten during this time. For as much as Isurian life is about the bond of your family, being born out of wedlock and to an inferior race made it difficult to be apart of it. He did find a little solace within his uncles' family and his half-brother, Damselian, for most of his young life. There was one thing Gravon had over the children of his age, however; earlier puberty. By seventeen, he was already a few inches taller than the average Isurian man and had the muscle mass of one too. This changed everything for Gravon, as the minute he realized this advantage his Vanthaian blood brought forth his true personality and it mixed with the introverted part of himself which feared angering those around him. Confidence increased as well until he began to understand what it meant to stand up for himself. At the same time, it made things worse as he learned that Isurian honor and pride is a fickle thing. Thus, he ended up in a lot more fights and arguments that he assumed would stop the minute he flaunted his physique. This is where his nickname 'Blackbane' originated since his black Isurian arm ended many of these fights. By 23, Gravon had become more unstable and aggressive to those around him. What confidence he held had been eroded into a state of depression that has never really left him. The fighting and controversy did lessen over time though, but it had scarred both him and everyone apart of it. Furthermore, he no longer knew what kind of person he was nor could he bring himself to apologize to some of the people he knew did not deserve his justified anger. With such heaviness on his mind and his half-brother already gone from the city, he exiled himself from his home in hope of finding answers. For the next eight years, Gravon became a wanderer that was easily forgotten by most people. He'd drink himself into a rage and let the darkness control whatever happened next. Or when that wouldn't satisfy him, he'd injure his body either by self-infliction or by getting into more fights. Scars accumulated along with questions whenever he thought he had found an answer. Blackstrom they would call him; unpredictable and unrelenting. Now, in present days he has come to Sylira after having found his half-brother a few years before.
