Yvaine Hardgroove Race: Kelvic (“King” Cheetah) Gender: Female Age: 2 yrs Birthday: Day 36, Season Summer, 511 Birthplace: Nyka Bondmate: No one as of yet Yvaine's Theme Song : [/center] Human Form Because Yvaine rarely takes human form, her skin is much paler than most as she rarely enjoys time in the sun . If it wasn’t for the thin white scars scattered across her body from hunting, she would have flawless skin. While her hair has a natural curl to it as it barely falls past her shoulders, it holds a reddish golden tint in the sunlight. Standing at an easy five foot nine inches, she’s all lithe and muscle. She has an unusual grace while in human form, but really nothing stands out much from the crowd, and she prefers it that way. Cheetah Form Yvaine’s cheetah form is by far the more unique of her two forms. Unlike most cheetahs with spots, Yvaine is stripped, with much larger patches of black spots across her golden fur. It almost appears as if she has “racing” strips down her back. Like other cheetahs she has black teardrop strips curling down across each side of her muzzle. Her eyes are a beautiful topaz brown, which carry over to her human form. She is still the same size as an average cheetah however. Weighing in at a mere 56 pounds, 45 inches long, and 31 inches tall at the shoulder. In general standards she is actually small for a cheetah. But like her human form, she has incredible grace like most cats, and is pure muscle. She has a thick mane of fur atop her shoulders that will slowly shed as she ages. With her father’s spirit, she very rarely conforms to what someone else requests of her, unless she can just as easily see the logic behind it. Violence was something born from traveling the Wildlands, though she very rarely uses such an act against other sentient forms. She very much follows her instincts, especially since she spends most of her time in cheetah form. Fight or flight is generally left to flight, as her body is not made for a straight up combat. Though she does have several faint scars across her body indicating she has a fighter’s spirit if the choice must be made. When caught in human form, Yvaine is actually quite social when approached. She has a bright smile and wily comments, often construed as a tease by some. She enjoys the “hunt” in human form as much as animal. While she doesn’t always trust easy, once she trusts you Yvaine would do anything for that person. Thus far only her parents have that kind of trust. Even with living most of her life without her mother, Evangeline tends to be her weakest spot. Her mother’s voice. Character History Yvaine’s life has been fairly simple. Her mother seemed like a ghost, visions in blurred dreams of a beautiful woman singing softly to her. As far as she knew, her mother did not hate her for being Kelvic, but willingly gave her over to her father in hopes that he could raise her as she needed. Evangeline knew not how to take care of a child capable of taking another form. Yvaine’s father Zevon was easy to grow up with. While he never explained much about the relationship between Evangeline and himself, he had no problem assuring Yvaine that her mother loved her. Yvaine yearned for her mother in secret however, as her father did not enjoy talking about Evangeline. With Zevon, Yvaine spent her time either watching her father seduce women from afar from quite literally any city or caravan nearby, or focusing her abilities as a hunter. Young for her age however, Yvaine made a decision that did not please her father much. As they passed through Sylira, Yvaine mentioned to her father that she wanted to see her mother. He expressed disdain for this idea, so Yvaine simply told him in complete confidence, that she was going. Zevon was not pleased, but accompanied her to the outskirts of Nyka where he disappeared without a word. It took Yvaine several days before she could locate her mother, and the voice so vaguely familiar to her. Family and Friends   Family Evangeline Hardgroove Race: Human DoB: Day 12, Season Winter, 482 AV PoB: Sylira Skills: Medicine 30, Herbalist 10, Singing 10 Evangeline was born and raised in Sylira, in a family known for the medicines. Most of her life was spent obeying her family, but she longed for more. She craved adventure, and eventually left her family in the spring of 503. On the road to Syka, she met a handsome young man named Zevon. He won her heart in no time, and their romance quickly escalated. Evangeline found herself pregnant by the time she reached Syka, but crushed as Zevon had disappeared. Setting up a home, she had plans to raise her child alone. After giving birth to Yvaine, it only took a matter of days to realize her child was growing faster than a normal child. It was only a week later that Zevon returned, insisting that Yvaine come with him. It took little convincing one Evangeline realized her child was a Kelvic like her father. Heartbroken she let Zevon take her child. She lived her life in Nyka, wondering often how her child was doing. It wasn’t two years later a young girl arrived on her doorstep. Asking her awkwardly if it was alright to stay there… with her mother. He is confidant and almost wise, but nearly as closed off to Yvaine as he was to Evangeline. Yvaine never understood why her father had seduced her mother, but he seemed well intent on siring as many children as he could. However at this point Yvaine seems to be the only offspring that came out Kelvic. When Yvaine decided to return to her mother, Zevon led her to Nyka but disappeared shortly afterwards.
