The loud rumbling of chatter rose in the air. The fourth day market was up again and people from each quarter gathered to quickly buy things from other quarters that they normally wouldn't. The market was always an interesting place for the man, with his neatly trimmed hair and bright colored clothes that he wore on special days such as today. Aider tended to just watch the people interact with the monks watching over them like hawks, waiting for anyone to try something stupid so they could have some fun. But this time, Aider figured he would indulge himself in alittle shopping. He went from stall to stall, seeing things from pottery to baskets and even the occasional fancy shirt. He stopped at one stall as something caught his eye, a pair of gauntlets. Aider stopped looking at them with a glow of curiosity in his eyes. "Good morrow, sir!" the stall keeper said turning towards Aider. He was an older man, atleast older then Aider. Dressed like all the other Nykans in the market was wearing bright clothes. "I see my armored fist caught your eye" he said with a chuckle, the kind that old men do. "Aye sir. I was actually interested in buying them" Aider said. He had seen a man knock another out with one punch while wearing a pair of gauntlets. "Well! I wont hold you up. That will be two gold Miza please" the stall keeper said. Aider nodded and dug the gold out of his pocket and handed it to the man, who in turn handed him his new pair of gauntlets. Aider took the gauntlets and smiled, giving the old stall keeper a small nod as he walked away. He slid the gauntlets on, flexing and closing his fingers, they fit well. He took them off and tucked them under his arm as he continued to walk the market. His eyes danced over each stall individually. Nothing really catching his eye, until he came across another stall with an assortment of small bladed weapons and other items, such as leather and small random bits of metals. Used to repair any broken gear or tools. "Aye there mate. You interested in a dagger?" a burly man with a long, flowing beard said. He was much bigger then Aider, but he looked like someone that would be in a bar, not selling things in the market. "No, Im looking for something smaller, yet does about the same amount of damage. Maybe something that could be attached to a fist or something" Aider said. He wanted something he could carry with him and pull out incase the need raised. "Ah! I have the perfect thing for you" the thuggish man said as he reached behind on of the pieces of leather. He laid it in front of Aider and said "This is the knucklebuster. Small yet powerful." It was a twisted little device in Aiders eyes. A strap of leather with spikes on it that is to be attached to the hand and used to pound in an enemies face. "That is perfect" Aider said. "How much" he asked looking the man in the eyes. "Five silver pieces" he said. Aider did the same he did before, pulled out the amount and handed it to the man before he continued on his journey.
