Acteon Mercer Zulaca Appearance Race: Kelvic, Talderian Arctic Fox Gender: Male Age: Four Years, Two Seasons (Twenty-Two in Fox Years) Birthday: 34th, Spring, 509 Birthplace: Kenash, Cyphrus Appearance: Acteon's animal form looks just like a Talderian Arctic Fox would look like, or any fox in shape, the features that stand out in him indistinct to the human eye. During the Summer, his coat turns grey and ashy with a silvery shine. During the Winter and most of the cold season, his coat will become snow white to match the environment his mimicked breed hails from. As a Human, Acteon has smooth, pale skin and devilishly alluring looks. His hair is long and changes almost as much as his natural coats do from his animal side. Unlike most Kelvics, he takes a sort of pride in fine clothing and equipment, especially those both formal and functional at once. In his eyes, one can see the canid flush. His canine teeth bare a slight sharpness as well. Acteon will take to wearing loose, soft clothes during most seasons with the exception of fine leathers during the Winter or for extended travels. Most distinct is a Kelvic collar which he always wears for the sole intent and purpose of preventing spontaneous and unintentional transformation into his other form. He has always enjoyed a high level of freedom, but chooses to wear it to prevent himself from attracting negative attention from some of the less ethical members of their society. The matching key is always in a pocket, or in the lord Zulaca's possession if he feels a risk overbearing. Character Concept Acteon is a quiet and tame individual of surprisingly incredible charisma. He might be quick-witted and catch you off guard when you least expect it, especially from a Kelvic: an animal. He has an aura of allure and mysticism, not slight of the looks to match. Because of this, he has admiration from at least a few local girls, though none requiring bonding so far. He hopes to one day change this, and find a true companion that he can truly fall for, one he can bond with for life. He can be very liberal and outspoken but usually settles a score with but a few words, this trait gets him into trouble occasionally with others though most fear to cross him due to his dynasty's lord. He isn't always wit and hard work. He has a playful side that he loves to share with just the right people, which is a rare honor coming from him. Being technically an animal, he views things from a very narrow, survival-based perspective which causes him to be a little detached from the posh and luxurious needs of other dynastics. In business, he does not cut any corners and can be one hell of a negotiation partner. Character History Acteon was born in captivity in Kenash. His mother was too a Kelvic, and a pangolinvat that. She was captured ashore by sailors who had never seen such a creature before, but was quickly discovered to be Kelvic when she transformed in an attempt to escape on foot. Feeling rather inclined by greed to capitalize on their discovery, they gave chase and bound her, shackling her neck and binding her legs. His mother was finally brought to Kenash, where she was subsequently sold off by slavedrivers as a potential wife to some wealthy foreigner and never to be seen again. During her time in Kenash, Acteon was conceived. Acteon spent his first year almost completely alone and unwanted in the slave class. He knew of his gift, but refrained from using it until it was blatantly obvious by his accelerated human aging. He was bound to fetch a high price, even though they could not invoke him to shift at first, though the leading Nuit of the Zulaca family took a peculiar, keen interest in the boy. For the first time anyone had ever seen, Acteon transformed into his other side, a fifty pound fox with silvery charcoal fur. The lord Zulaca was very intrigued, and decided to buy out the young arctic before his price could get steep. Zulaca had struck gold, as they had not only added a Kelvic to their ranks, but an animal of aesthetic value and relativity who was also a devout servant willing to aid in the family's embalming. Zulaca, though uninterested in trivial things such as 'bonding,' did however decide to promote this Kelvic who he named Acteon to a full member of the Zulaca ranks for his help and dedication. From then on, Acteon enjoyed a greater many freedoms. In return, all he had to do was be a pretty piece to the family name, guide the others and keep assisting in embalming new bodies. Because of the influx of wealth and allowance, Acteon could afford to learn to read even though it was a slow and painstaking process that still has yet to culture, and learn crafts which appealed to his interests and eye. In two years, Acteon had been able to become a glassworker for the middle and upper class of Kenash, his sense of business enhanced by his fox cunning and bare instincts.
