Lorick indicated with his head that Aider should follow him into one of the corners of the room, as the dark-haired woman left them alone for a few chimes. His dark, intense stare bored into Aider's face as he waited for the other man to arrive at his location.

"So. Aider, was it?" Lorick began, his voice too low for anyone but Aider to hear. "This looks to be a long, drawn-out investigation. Too many variables to get anything correct and, by the looks of it, not enough evidence to really make an arrest or there would be an arrest already."

He shrugged. "You look like a busy man," he continued. "So I suggest we ... speed things along a bit. This maid, for instance. She seems as likely a suspect as any. She certainly had access, means and opportunity. As for motive, well, I'm sure we can ... accommodate, with a little imagination."

Trahern decided to put a little Djed into his next statement, using just a bit of Hypnotism to generate a vague sense of that his words were reasonable. "Come on now, Aider, you said it yourself. You're here for the money. You get paid as long as someone swings for the crime. We could be done with this thing inside a week. What do you say?"

Aider followed the man, with little interest in what he actually had to say. In Aiders mind this would be easy, especially since he had to interrogate the maid. His skilled would make this easy for them, but of course this other man had some other kind of plan. Aider listened as he spoke, he would have to put up with this man in the room so he might as well listen to what he had to say.
"Not busy. Just uninterested, people die all the time. Just because its some 'important' person. Its a big deal" he said making air quotes. It didn't really surprise him that this man wanted to just blame someone. He pondered over the idea, he really was only here for the money. Nothing else mattered to him. "So what exactly do you have planed" he asked looking back at him. He still pondered the idea, wondering if it was something he could do. Ruin someones life for money. He shrugged, why should he care. It wasn't his life, he wouldn't lose any sleep over it. He leaned back against the wall and crossed his arms, waiting for the mans explanation.

Hey all, just wanted to say I am sorry for any delays and failed promises. I am getting ready for a huge trip out of the country as well as taking on a lot of extra shifts at work. The creative side of my brain hasn't been active as of late.

Lorick smirked, the left corner of his mouth lifting just a bit. His eyes twinkled as he commented, "Now, now, Aider. Careful what you say. The walls have ears. I never said anything about a plan. I merely suggested a possible course of action. Just a thought experiment, I'm sure you understand. Still, I'm glad to see you're a reasonable man. When the time comes, we can have a ... discussion. In the meantime..."

Lorick looked over to the other two, who didn't seem to be headed to their interview room.

"I think we're done here," Lorick commented, with a shrug. "Good talking to you." With that, Lorick turned, and strode to the room where the maid awaited.
