With a brisk shudder at the first signs of waking followed by a withheld breathe Miria rose slightly to start the day. A hand raised to run her eyes moved into an elaborate sweeping stretch that put her back in bed. Looking over to the other side of the bed the vantha's mood took a turn for the worse as her yawn became a discontent murmur. Did she really have to know? Looking back at when she was all but ignorant to her “late” husband's deviations the young vantha was nothing if not devoted to her marriage. Even later with his disappearance the doting vantha kept a light outside their window for his safe return. Seasons passed and there was no sign of her wishes of coming true until one faithful evening.

A peculiar sight along with a seemingly anticlimactic confrontation shattered all of the vantha's perceptions of the life she was living. How cruel was fate to teach her and nurture her through the vantha way just to deny her of living such a fortunate life? Family, solidarity and the promise of a happy marriage. Then to have it taken away simply because his preferences on a mate turned out to be peculiar. Queer and unexpected was the relationship that was put before her and she couldn't have hoped to do anything about it. A cultural shock that Miria would not ever wish upon others. It did not change her demeanor but she felt the subtle changes to her demeanor in the months to come.

Long story made short Miria stopped lighting a candle outside her window and Morello went off to live with a bear in the wastes. It took the archer to come to terms with the man's decision. How could he decide to fake his disappearance and leave? Was there something wrong that she did? Was there something wrong with her? It was simply to embarrassing to accept. Ludicrous even. There was no way she could find who she can confide in. Miria was not going to become the next running gag story told in the campfires of Avanthal.

Soon after those that knew her started to make the off colored joke of her being an ice maiden. Granted Miria was sure that the incident was isolated so it was mere coincidence she found herself more involved with the term. Vantha women who have not married or otherwise found a spouse at her age were usually deemed cold and uninviting. Don't joke about it. It ISN'T funny.

Questioning her earlier thoughts on that matter Miria found herself wondering of what to make of meeting even more important was how to deal with the that sudden meeting. The archer took her time in understanding how she felt, spending quite a bit of time reflecting and even spending some time to weave out her version of her failed marriage for herself. She could not help it seeing how most people in Avanthal had a flair for the dramatic. Finally settling into acceptance the days where she would wish for a life associated with that ...man was almost nonexistent. Today Miria just had what looked like to be a moment of weakness early in the morning. Hearing the morning stirrings outside snapped the vantha back into reality. Long were the days of being such a young impressionable girl, all that she can do is struggle to find her happy ending with a smile.

You can do it your way but I see things differently

The commotion outside was pretty typical living in Coolwater Hold. Much like most of Avanthal the people in her hold were morning people eager to get a good start on the day. Fishers soon lined the pier and disappeared as quickly as they came looking for lush waters and a grand haul. By the time all the ships were gone Miria had enough time to prepare before meeting with the people she had.A sudden knock on the door startled the preening vantha before greeting the unexpected guest.

“A good day wouldn't you say? Morning ...Miria was it?”

“Ah. Yes. Nothing amiss so far.”

Politely exchanging pleasantries Miria nodded in affirmation before making a quick hand gesture referring to herself.

“I am Miria Coolwater, formerly a member of Skyglow hold. Is there something I can help you with? And Who did you say you were?”

“Ah good! Hi.... My name is Elyana from Whitevine hold and I just happened to pass by and ended up here! A great day should start off with something nice and I just wanted to share that with you before anything.”

Blinking several times taking in what she said Miria tilted her head slightly trying her best not to look too lost her staring back. What was it this girl was talking on about?

“Well I am glad that we are in agreement. It is nice out. Though the day has yet to start for me. Was there anything else that you would like to share?”

“Not at all. Just that.”

The woman's demeanor and lingering gaze told Miria otherwise seeing Elyana peer past her. Her reply came seemed more like an afterthought to the archer as Elyana gave her full attention back at Miria. A confused looked followed by a apologetic tone somehow grated on Miria's patience as she explained.

“Oh! What I meant to say was... that I'm here for you.”

Continuing on without stopping to think what could be implied Elyana went on with her enthusiastic self.

“I wanted to help in anyway I can. Perhaps you need someone to talk to or someone to lean on while you go through this horrible time?”

“I... I'm sorry. I don't know what to say to that.”

The look on Miria's face could not hide the complete confusion she was feeling any longer. Had someone told Elyana about her situation with Morello? Why would she want to help reconcile a complete stranger?

Swallowing hard Miria could not settle on being sad for her dark secret to come into light. Nor would she lash out at this stranger for wanting to help. Her bold approach only convinced Miria of her genuine compassion.

Apparently no further words was needed as Elyana stepped forward offering a big hug for the bewildered huntress. Hesitating longer then was necessary Miria stood still unsure before Elyana went ahead with the warm hug. Soothing sounds and light patting were felt on Miria's back and shoulder before finally getting released from the woman's bearlike attack.

Finding the scene almost too touching Miria held back a tree as she wiped at her face breathing deeply about the whole thing.

“True love will always find a way through Miria. Perhaps later when you are free we can canoodle when we are done.”

“Huh?”

Taking a set back Miria once again gave Elyana the same confused look as before. Canoodle? She wants to do what? Does she even know what she just said just now and earlier?

Watching Miria go back into a guarded state Elyana went for the archer's hand before gripping it tightly. Her eyes burning with intention disturbed Miria more then it should have.

“We don't have to if you want. It is up to you. What is important is to get you back with your one true love. Where is this “Honey” of yours?”

My true love? So... she was not talking about herself? Honey? Did she meant to say Morello?

It took a moment but realization came to Miria as a sudden snort of laughter came out of the archer.

“Oh Honey. My honey. Of course. This makes complete sense now.”

Miria's “true love” was apparently in the form of a rabbit according to Elyana. Earlier in the season Miria managed to visit Whitevine Hold while her rabbit was sick. A terrible bout of wheezing came from her rabbit and he was refusing to eat his usual favorite treats the past two days.

Addressing him as her “Honey” Miria asked for some advice and something healthy for him to eat from the Whitevines. Miria earlier trip to the Frostfawns provided her with an idea of what to get and she simply wanted to double check with the Whitevines. If something was sick they would know how to make it better right? Now that she thought about it she did remember an overly emotional person watching her make queries. Though an afterthought at the time Miria could not help but feel as amused as she should be.

“Come in. Come in. Oh you will love him. I'm sure of it.”

Entering without a second thought Elyana went in with an almost brisk hop before addressing Miria once more.

“When I saw you last time I was filled with so much joy hearing you call your lucky husband such a sweet name! I could not help but want to reunite such a happy pair.”

Elyana obviously a romantic Miria felt she could not damper the young vantha's spirits just yet as she took a look around her arvinta.

“Oh yea... It is a pet name of sorts. I call him my Honey Bunny when we are alone.”

If it was possible Elyana's eyes perked up even more after hearing such a bold statement from Miria. Her eyes wandered all across her room looking for Miria's significant other. The drive she had to take a look at what she perceived as a lovey dovey couple all too obvious now.

“Um where is your... Honey?”

“Right over there lying still in the corner. Useless thing.”

Miria's eyes flashed a malicious blue watching Elyana's reaction go from a idealistic smile into a slightly shocked expression. Whose turn was it to be confused now?

Miria's face unable to keep up her charade any longer clutched at her sides as Elyana nearly jumped seeing Honey's beady eyes fixed on the pair of them. Laughter erupted from Miria as if she had waited for this moment all along. Elyana's reaction was simply priceless squealing away from them as Honey hopped closer to greet the newcomer.

“Get that thing away from me! Those eyes and teeth! They are something that comes out of the darkness.”

“Aww don't listen to her Honey. You were just having a bad hare day. Isn't that right?”

“I don't believe this. I don't believe you. You were stringing me along all this time? What are you? Some sort of crazy bunny lady?”

Still finding it hard not to laugh Miria took a little longer then necessary laughing at Elyana's expense. Which may or may not have came off as creepy. Miria herself couldn't decide so she offered the strange young vantha a compromise of sorts.

“No no. This was just a misunderstanding from the beginning. If you want you can look over my Honey and check if he's better now. I cleaned and swept the room like the Frostfawns suggested and fed him those different herbs at Whitevine hold.”

“Forget it. I'm not spending anymore time with a delirious woman like you. Tricking people into feeling sorry for you for your amusement? No wonder your alone in this arvinta with that rabbit. Ice queen!”

The loud slam that followed rustled Honey. Who scrambled in Miria's arms before settling down once more. Honey's owner who was mildly entertained at first was now left feeling a bit depressed. Nuzzling Miria for attention the affectionate bunny's fur was rewarded with petting for a good minute before Miria headed out as intended.

Outside the sun greeted the horizon in the usual way as streaks of early orange now warmed up Miria's face. Her expression did not soften before leaving for her first interview of the day. It was true that it was a nice morning for Avanthal but Miria was starting to feeling slightly dour already.

A short distance away Miria started towards Iceglaze hold. Holding many of Avanthal's hardworking craftsmen Miria found the overall mood around the hold pleasing as it inspired her to work just as hard. It also looked good to her clients seeing her near such a productive area. A few chimes of idling and what looked to be a familiar face came up towards the idle Vantha. Smiling winningly Miria tried to make her best impression before gaving a greeting she had heard a few times.

"I'm notched, I'm taut, I'm ready to go. How can I help you?
