This lazy agricultural settlement rests on the swampy shores of the Middle Suvan at the delta of The Kenash River. The River's slow moving bayou waters have bred a different sort of people - rugged, cultured, and somewhat violent. Sprawling plantations of tobacco and cotton grow on the outskirts of the swamp in the rich Cyphrus soils, while the city itself curls around the bayou and spawns decadence and sins of all sorts. Life is slower in Kenash, but the lack of pace is made up for in the excesses of food and flesh in a city where drinking, debauchery, gambling, slavery, and overbearing plantation families dominate the landscape.

[Silverbite's Prowlers] A Particular Python (Adrienna)

Nala was expressly excited, and no doubt that was a reason for every Rajor slave to be worried. Or, it would have been, had she been home on the plantation. She was not, however, but was crossing the bridge to Sun Island from Dry Island. It was nearing evening, the sun just mere chimes from meeting the horizon, and Nala had made an effort to clean up her shop quickly and close a little early so she could make it on time.

No doubt she was a spectacle to the Freeborn that walked past. She had chosen her Dhani form for this little excursion so she could be recognized by her kin at Silverbite’s Prowlers. She was going to see what sort of reptilian pets the Lynint family had been keeping in their little shop. To be honest, she was confused as to why she hadn’t come to them at an earlier date. She was aching to speak with someone in Snake-Tongue that wasn’t a member of the Rajor family, and she hoped to find such a conversationalist in one of the tanks at Silverbite’s.

The reason the shop had come to her attention was a conversation she had with her aunt the morning before regarding the various breeds of snakes that resided in their homeland and throughout Mizahar. She had mentioned a particular breed, the Isurian Python, which was extremely rare and blind, having been hatched to a subterranean atmosphere. When Nala had asked where she might find more information on such a creature, her aunt directed her to Silverbite’s where she had visited on occasion to make sure they were treating the children of Siku well enough.

The building was small and unassuming, tucked away behind a number of other shops and nestled on the southern tip of the island where it lay. It was dark, it’s windows covered in plaster and quiet serpentine whispers just audible through the front door. Nala opened it slowly and slithered inside, unsure of what to expect.
