![]() Naomi frowned as she looked at the map of the city on her way in. She had trouble reading some of the longer words on it, but finally decided that East Street would be a good of a place to start living here as any. She shouldered her pack and began walking down the wide road. There were many people out and about, as The Bright One was high in the sky. A few said hello to her and she smiled back at them. She tugged at her simple dress, hating its feeling against her skin. It felt rough even though it was of high quality fabric, she still did not get why people would bother wearing clothing at all! It encumbered movement and made it hard to tell if someone was a threat or not. Though, she should not be talking, Kelvics were the ultimate example of hidden weapons. She patted her Tamo Daggers, hidden in the folds of her clothes, ready to be used in seconds if she was attacked. Her bright green eyes sparkled in the sun, her brilliant red hair dancing like fire behind her as she walked. Naomi started to notice there were less people on this street, and the ones that were present were more dodgy looking than before. Was East Street a bad area of town? She turned her head down and kept on walking, hoping she would eventually reach another, less sinister area, one she would feel safe sleeping in. Things only got worse. A group of about five or six people brushed past her, one cat called under his breath. She turned to confront him when she felt someone jostle her pack. In an instant, she was alone, the five men walked back the way she had came. Where was the sixth figure? She was sure she had seen one. She shook her head and swung her pack around in front of her so she could check it's condition. The pouch that had contained her purse now held nothing. She dropped to her knees, the loss of all the Mizas she had to her name weighing heavily on her. A crystal tear rolled down her cheek. She cursed her misfortune between sobs. She grabbed her poison wielder's gauntlet in the large pouch of her bag, putting it on her wrist, and loaded three needles into it, ready to be fired. But it was no use, you can not poison someone that is hidden to you. She threw it back into her pack and buried her face in her hands. |
