FALL 3, 513
OK, this was embarrassing. Rad was a miner, and was used to scurrying about and exploring tunnels and caverns and all sorts of underground places. And here he was, lost! And at the water park! Shaking his head gruffly, he looked about, pretty sure that he had already been through this passage. He looked to his right, to the stairs that led up. Then he looked left, to the pool. It was at least ten minutes ago that he had come down the twisting stone slide and plunged into this same pool. But at that time, it had been empty. He had walked away to find his way back up top, and come full circle it seemed. Now, he saw there was a newcomer in the small pool. He could ask them if they knew how to get back out, to the main pool above the cliff. But that would show how ignorant he was. Deep inside, another voice, his dark brother, laughed at him. ”If you would listen to me, we would not be lost.” That was Jozef, always smirking at Radovan.
“Oh, shut up.” Rad muttered, as he looked again. Back, up, or ask?
With a sigh, he stepped over to the pool. “Excuse me. Do you know the way back to the top?” His voice was polite, as he looked at the one in the pool with curiosity.
