A soft discontented groan was given when he spoke of her not hurting Stormdancer, one that spoke of displeasure at the situation. One that a child might give if told they had to eat their vegetables. Yet when he bid her to come, she does not move instead watches him with widened eyes as he mounts the animal so easily, his body moving with a grace that belied his masculine lines. She would never admit that the sight of him so easily manipulating his body to settle onto the animal took her breath slightly, causing her to gasp and hold said breath for a full beat.

Yet the horse was coming back, and Taylani back peddled away quickly, shaking her head, her face a mask of stubbornness. When he held his hand out to her, she stared at it incredulously with one brow cocked over her blue eyes. "You have got to be joking.." She says, backing away even more so, raising her hands up in the universal sign of stay back. "I ..I am not..I can't do that.. There is no way I wouldn't just pull you off, or worse..." In the end it was a trust thing. She did not trust him, would not trust him. The idea that he was going to pull her up to sit on that animals back was ludicrous.

If he'd had any doubts about her stubbornness, now he had a demonstration of it in full measure. Now he also paid the price for his leniency, in allowing her to believe that she had the power to make choices and decisions. Of course that was exactly what he wanted, yet there was a balance to be struck and clearly they were still a long way off finding that.

When he was a child he would have received a clout around the head for such a display, one that he would have glowered about for days after, yet he had learnt to obey commands and now he understood the reason. Out in the Sea of Grass there was not the time to question a command, they needed to be obeyed immediately and questioned afterwards. If they were now about to be attacked by predators then there would not be time to argue and she and likely he now would die.

He fought back the training and the temptation to climb down and clout her equally hard before throwing her across the back of the horse and riding off. He lacked the words to explain to her the necessity of obeying for she wasn't a child and likely to harbour resentment beyond all sense.

There was a possible solution and he decided to attempt that before he lost patience and forced her on the horse. Lifting his leg across the withers he slid from the horse and landed reasonably gracefully on the ground. He advanced upon Taylani, his face impassive and stopped in front of her. "You try my patience," he said in Pavi, his annoyance audible on his tongue. He was tempted to once more wrap his fist into her hair and drag her along, but he resisted and instead put his arm around her shoulder, turned her and walked across the paddock towards the tents. He clicked his tongue and waved at Stormdancer who followed along.

Not all Drykas were able bodied, some were ill, some injured and needed assistance in mounting, plus of course there were non Drykas whose horses were kept here so near the tent was a mounting block and it was to this that he led his errant slave, indicating that she should climb it. Remaining silent he turned and remounted bringing the horse back to the block.

When he dismounted, Taylani experienced a quick wave of fear, but unfortunately for Taylani fear has never been enough of a factor to overcome her stubborn and resolved nature. So it is only a half a step back that is granted this fear as he stalks closer, the step cut short and her chin lifted bravely. He speaks in the barbarian tongue, but it was clear that he was not happy with her refusal.

When his arm snakes around her shoulder she makes a denial sound in her throat, but something in his eyes and face told her not to fight this one. Instead she walks with him, making a concerted effort to look at least as if she was going somewhere that she chose to go, and not being led by a stalwart male. She does not speak on their trip back to the tent, even though she had some concerns as to what his plans were she did not want to give him the satisfaction that it was a concern. Instead she tried hard to affect a nonchalant air, though her steps slowed as they neared the mounting block.

When he still did not speak, only indicated what he wanted she was sorely tempted to refuse again. Tempted because he needed to learn that if he had wanted someone who would let him lie with her nightly, and then by day devote her obedience to him with no regards to herself then he should have purchased someone who signed up for that. Not someone who was kidnapped and forced here. If he wanted her to be pleasant, and even perhaps learn to accept his company with more then simple dutiful attitude then he needed to respect her wishes, and in this case fears. Trust was not something earned easily, but was very easy to lose all trust in just a moment.

However, he did concede, at least a little. He was still going to make her, this very day, climb onto an animal. This she knew in some way that was going to have to happen anyway, but he did concede in the manner, so Taylani conceded in her own fashion. She turned to the mounting block, looked around to see if there were anyone watching the spectacle before she gathered her skirts in one hand, lifting them clear of her knees so that she could easily climb up without tripping over the lengths. Once upon the block she crosses her arms, her chin again doing the telltale lift that spoke volumes on her own annoyance but she is up there. However she does not speak to him any more then he spoke to her, which was the point.

He wasn't pleased with her, but she had not actively fought with him either and for all of her intial refusals she had complied. Not willingly it was true but all the same she had. She would, he was sure sulk and as he turned the horse he could see her on the block which was good, but defiance fairly radiated from her, obvious to any who saw her even without the folded arms.

He guided Stormdancer in close to her and brought her to a halt so close that he could have tapped his foot on the top of the mounting block. "Here," he spoke in Pavi to Taylani, and shifted his seat back a little, indicating that he wanted her to climb in front of him. He offered her his hand and Stormdancer looked back curiously at the spectacle of the human female who had fed her and curried her standing on the block.

Oh how she wanted to brush his hand aside, to climb onto the horse under her own power. Would do him good to be shown that she could do without him, that she didn't need him at all. Unfortunately that was not true, not even in the grandest of fantasies could she ever even pretend that she did not need him. Well, she corrects herself even as she continues to stare at his pro-offered hand, she surely didn't need him just needed someone . That mollified her a little, though she did not examine the thought carefully, fearful that she could possibly find holes in even that theory.

So she finally grasped his hand, probably a little more firmly then was strictly necessary and lifted a leg to climb onto the horses back. Immediately she felt disoriented, one hand falling forward to tangle in the animals mane, noting absently that it's hair was coarse beneath her fingers. Her fingers tangled in the hair tightly as her chest constricts. The other hand lets go of his to grapple forward blindly trying to find something to cling to, settling to lay against the horses neck in front of her. Her skirts slid up her legs, showing the pale length to above the knee, but that was of little problem to her for the moment. Forgetting to breath for a moment, the muscular back of the horse between her thighs moving beneath her with every minute motion Stormdance made distracting and making her feel as if she were going to fall off any moment. Her backside fitted naturally against his hips, and if she were not trying to adjust to the idea of being on a living animal her feet clearing the earth by feet, then she might have thought to hold herself back from him, stiffly. Instead she awkwardly balanced, feeling as if her mount was precarious, fearing she was going to tumble to the ground below at any moment.

It was perhaps a little unfair to have forced her to attempt to ride bareback on her first attempt, but his patience had worn thin, irritated by her obstinacy for all that in other circumstances he might well appreciate it.

She managed to climb onto the horse, taking only a little support from his hand and settled herself down with her hips against him. He smiled, amused at the way she grasped at the mane whilst Stormdancer flicked her ears at the obviously unsettled seat and at the additional load.

Fallan did not intend to ride for long especially without the normal gear and with no means to hold her on if she panicked or lost her balance from a move. He gave her a moment more to get her balance, noting the grip on the mane and then reached around her waist with his right arm and pulled her tight into him.

He clicked his tongue to get Stormdancers attention and shifted his balance slightly hoping that she would pick up the cue from the distractions caused by Tays shifting weight. It seemed that she did for she moved forward at a slow walk, curving round as he applied pressure with his knees and moved back away from the tents and towards the open grass. He allowed the pace to remain the same for a chime or two and then picked up the pace just a little, concentrating as he did on the slim woman whose waist and hips moved close to his.

As soon as his arm moved around her middle, drawing her tightly against him, her arm jerks just a little in protest of even that small movement. Yet she appreciated the arm more then she liked, the security of his body against hers helped to keep her from feeling too at odds on the animal. However this feeling was not to last as he clicked and then without Taylani even noticing how he managed to direct the horse, Stormdance begins to really move.

The sensation was unlike any other, she had thought that the simple shifting of muscles beneath her was unsettling, when the horse began really moving the muscles seemed to shift and slide beneath her. Her fingers tighten in Stormdancer's mane and her body tenses against the motion, her muscles locking in place. Her dancers background helps her to unconsciously keep a straight posture, and it is but a few seconds that she begins to settle not comfortably but in a motion that rocked her gently with the horses gait. She was far too uneasy at first to really notice anything but the horses movements and her own anxiety, but after that first few seconds she began to slowly become more and more aware of his body against hers, the heat of his stomach and chest against her back, the muscular thighs against the back of hers. Becoming slightly uncomfortable with this awareness, along with the realization that her simple skirts that serviced so well in a city did not do so well on the back of a horse, Taylani shifts though supremely carefully against his arm. Trying to put just a little space between them while at the same time trying also to maintain what still felt like a precarious perch.

It did not take long for the last tatters of his irritation to fade, blown from his mind by Zulravs blessing and replaced by that of Nikali. They moved at a sedate pace, a slight shift of his seat slowing down Stormdancer when he felt her draw power from the web as they cleared the boundary of the camp. He trusted her to keep them on her back but he did not think that Taylani was ready just yet for the speed of a Strider who had been kept in camp and now found the freedom of the Grass under her hooves. Stormdancer tossed her head in complaint but complied and kept to a smooth pace as they topped a rise and then slipped off the far side, cutting the view of the tents and leaving them apparently alone.

Fallan judged that Taylani was a little more used to the idea now and could no longer resist the temptations that she offered. His hand moved up from her waist, cupping her breast and pulling her in tighter once more. He kept an eye on the grass ahead and as he had been taught scanned the horizons for movement, but such things were almost automatic. He counted on Taylani being unwilling to remove her grip on the mane so once more his left hand freed the back of her neck from it's covering of red hair allowing him to kiss it and then nibble it softly. His thighs gripped hers more firmly and his left hand momentarily found its way to her throat which he stroked and then gripped lightly pulling her back into his lips.

A deep inhalation is given and she finally managed to look around her and not keeping her eyes focused on the horse to exclusion of all else. However when she noticed the tented city giving way to open grassland her back stiffens and her eyes widen. "Fallan?" She asks a little confused as to why they seemed to be leaving the relative 'safety' for open grassland. It was difficult enough for someone who was used to walls surrounding her on all sides to live within a tent, with no secure structure between her and the outside. But now there was nothing, nothing but her and Fallan, and a horse that she was not so certain really wanted her on top of it.

Yet his motives became clear when his hand raises cupping her breasts familiarly, pulling her back against him. Making a noise in her throat that was part denial, part promise, her eyes scan the distance as well though hers was simply looking for anyone who might be watching this behavior. In broad daylight, in the open a man was touching..and now kissing her neck causing a curl of heat that was now as familiar as his hands on her to begin deep in her belly. "No..." She murmurs, but the word held little conviction, even as his hand caressed and then closed gently against her throat and a shudder runs through her body. It was entirely unfair how he could effect her entire body while doing so little. While one hand still remained entangled in horse hair, gripping the strands so tightly that it bit gently into her skin, her other hand raises to push against his hand on her breast, worried that someone would see.

Getting To Know You

A nudge of his knee was all that was needed to alter their course into one that would curve around the city. It increased the chance of meeting someone, but he would rather that than one of the predators that sometimes lurked close to the city. It was early for that though and he considered the risk low, at least this close to the city.

He chuckled as he felt her hand against his and heard a word of mild protest, his teeth teasing against her neck, pulling the soft skin into folds. His hands fell so that the left took the place of the right, his fingers tightening on the breast, his thumb seeking the nipple. Now his right was free to run down her thigh, his body leaning into hers as he did this, seeking the end of the fabric so that he could pull it up and slip his fingers along the toned flesh underneath.

Their pace accelerated up a rise, the slope pushing them further forward and then they crested it, the city visible for a moment before it dropped away again and their pace slowed as Stormdancer eased down the slightly steep slope. He leant back, pulling Taylani with him, lifting her slightly so that his right hand could free the skirt that was trapped under her leg.

This was an unexpected pleasure and one that he intended to repeat soon, but for now she aroused him, and as she did so his movements became more urgent and controlling, his left hand finding its way back to her throat so that she arched her back a little into him.
