Bold and confident looking, Yanca leans more to her myrian side, standing around 5'9" and weighing 130lbs, most of her weight being lean muscle. Yanca has a long body with even longer limbs and while her body is long, it's still just a little curvy. This body of hers is covered with dark, chocolate-colored skin that can be both rough and smooth at the same time. Now, this skin beholds a few scars. A long scarlet colored line starts from her jaw and ends just in the middle of her neck is one most noticeable- she got this scar that night she was attacked by a pack of unknown creatures. There's another on her shoulder, she got while hunting with her eldest brother and he mistaken her for an animal and accidentally shot at her.

Yanca also has a few tattoos, most of them came after she found out she was part Myrian. The very first tattoo she has ever gotten describes her bond with her strider. It was placed upon her lower back, going up and down her left side in a few strands of what seems like regular lines. These lines are thick enough to hold little patterns inside, other lines connecting to one another somehow. Yanca has an arrow tattoo that hides behind her right ear. She had gotten this particular tattoo when she took a liking to a longbow. Lastly, she had gotten the symbol of water and fire tattooed on the palms of her hand, water being on the left and fire being on the right.

The mixed blood could be describe as pretty if she kept up with her appearance. She has long dark brown hair, the only trait she inherited from her mother, that she keeps in one long or maybe two long messy braids. These braids may dangle in the air or be carefully wrapped around her head. With her hair out her face, you can get a really good look at her. Yanca has two large dark brown eyes that almost seemed emotionless. To look into her eyes is like looking at a wall. Between those two large eyes is a long and narrow nose and underneath that nose, pink lips tightly pressed together that often let out a giggle or laugh.


Character Concept


Following the nature of her pavilion, Yanca is a very calm individual, though there are times she can be a bit chaotic but this is only in very serious situations. Despite she is calm, Yanca can be a bit childish at times. Mainly towards the people of her pavilion when certain things are expected of her. Such as womanly duties or doing something she does not find to be interesting at all. With that being said, Yanca also dislikes being told what she can and cannot do. If you tell her she cannot do something, she will take this as a challenge and do whatever it is you tell her she cannot do. This is something her family has yet to figure out.

Yanca can also be a bit humorous, especially around her little sister who she adores now. Yanca absolutely adores her sister, feeling the need to do anything and everything for her. She would even fight for her, which she does not mind doing at all. In fact, when it comes to fighting and such, her myrian side tends to come out more. Warlike activities and fighting channel the Myrian in her and she tends to change. In battle or a simple combat fight, Yanca hardens and becomes completely different.

Aside from that she loves nature and being surrounded by family. The human mixed is prideful too in who she is and worships the gods of the Drykas and Myrian people- well, she tries. Yanca is not too familiar with the goddess Myri.


Above all that, Yanca is intelligent for her age.

Character History

unrevised versionDela was a reckless woman. Although she was skilled in different personal magic and politics, Dela did not rely on any of it. Dela used her charm and persuasion to get around. Leaving Endrykas in her early twenties Dela passed through many cities and areas but none of them were like Taloba. A hard city to get into, Dela offered to teach what she knew to the women and men. They took her offer cautiously, not trusting her very much. A clan known as the Shifting Sabers were quick to take her up on her offer. The Shifting Sabers loved the world of magic, specializing in morphing. The clan did not except her as one of them but were less hostile to her.

But the truth of why Dela stayed in Taloba was because of a man. A man who just so happened to be in the Shifting Sabers' clan. Taller than Dela, Kaku of the shifting sabers caught the drykas woman's eye. His tattoos and piercings were strangely attractive to the drykas woman. She could not help herself and little by little she would ease her way towards him until he finally excepted her. They had a secret fling which caused her to stay longer but when she parted the clan said their good bye. The clan leader even crafted a headress for her parting.


When she left Taloba to go home, everyone but Dela noticed her swelling stomach. No one was more angered of the outcome than the ankal of Dela's family, her father. He could barely give her away as a third wife. But her skills in Magic and Politics attracted Ian Freerunner. Dela became his third wife and transferred from the Sapphire clan to the Emerald. When Yanca was born she didn't have such tan skin like she did now. It was easy for Ian claim her as his own until she became a toddler. As a toddler she gained her bold Myrian features. It became harder to explain why this was occurring.



But that never changed the fact that she was a Freerunner. Even as a toddler though she was showing more of a Myrian side. Every time Yanca would "play" with her older siblings, a war instinct would come in and there was an instant battle. Dela realizing what she thought was a mistake decided to put her daughter's focus on other things. Various times a day Dela would teach her daughter magic. The older Yanca got the more she started to notice how different she looked. When Dela had a second child, jealousy grew in the young girl. The younger child looked so much like their mother even as an infant. No one treated Yanca different but she knew she was. When she attempted to run away and ended up coming back with a new strider and bruises her mom thought it would be best for her to know just a little on her other side.


Dela could only teach her daughter the language and culture. Yanca was glad to learn about her other half and even happier to receive the headress her mother once received from the clan leader, who was her grandmother. From than on Yanca could only dream of what the city was like. One day Yanca would plan on traveling to the city but for now she wishes to stay with her family.

History: Upset about her mother devoting all her time to another child, the young child ran away from the pavilion. That whole day she stayed out in the wilderness. Losing her way home little Yanca wandered around in circles. She wandered around until she was attacked by something unknown in the wilderness. Yanca knew it wasn't a glassbeak but she couldn't recall what else it was. Bruised and bleeding but not dead she laid there as a stallion circled her. He lowered himself just enough for Yanca to climb on and pass out. Ian's search party soon found the girl and horse and escorted them both back to the pavilion. Not only did Yanca gain a strider but learned a very important lesson.
