Jagger Wildwind
Has dropped the name of his pod, and simply goes by Jagger.

Appearance

Race: Mixed. Half Svefra, Half Myrian.
Gender: Male.
Age: 21.
Birthday: 14th, Spring, 490.
Birthplace: Suvan Sea.

Appearance: Jagger stands at 6'1, and has a fit body that has been sculpted by the jungle wilds. His hair is shaggy and untamed, often kept at length with the quick slash of a sharp blade. The red is fiery and unique, at least when it comes to his current Myrian neighbors. His eyes are the trademark color of the Svefra, with a bright blue shade that contains multiple little black flecks. His worn but young face is dotted with facial hair and hundreds of light freckles, yet another little thing that sets him even further apart from most of those found in Taloba.

A small Lacun mark can be spotted below his sternum, with a smattering of freckles on his chest as well. His skin is fairly creamy, once tanned by the Suvan Sun but faded due to the somewhat tree-shadowed tops of jungle wilds. A roaring Manalim is tattooed around the muscles of his right arm, while the Oceanus mark usually rears its waves around his left arm. It has recently retreated though, only being a few waves over his wrist and about halfway up to his elbow. He has an ear piercing that was painfully given by a Myrian, and a tattooed skull over his right breast that was given for his first scalped opponent.

Character Concept

Jagger is a clever sort of man, one who always seems to have a sly plan in mind behind his glittering blue eyes. His lips are almost always up-turned in a little smile, and one gets the impression that they are about to be dragged into some sort of trouble. He actively seeks out thrill and trouble, being something of an adrenaline junky. He is more than happy to drag others along with him on what seems to be a death wish at times, and merely laughs in the face of it. He revels in the rush, and enjoys sharing it with another person, willing or not. He has a problem with taking things seriously, and is almost too light-hearted. There have been times recently when passionate intensity shows, but those moments are quickly forgotten and replaced by more immature whims.

He has a quick temper, but has learned to put in under control, though the fire can obviously blaze in his expressive blue eyes. His impulsiveness carries over to this, and there is a definite violent streak hidden under all the playfulness. He is the sort to get into a fight for the fun of it, and then suddenly turn into a vicious brawler who seems to get some sort of sadistic pleasure from it. It is merely another kind of thrill, though one that very intimately can dance the line with death.

There seems to be no plan to his life, just a man travelling by the sudden desires of his hyperactive mind. There are moments of maturity, often accompanied by a deep sadness and longing. These are closely hidden, and sometimes not even noticed by the Svefra himself.

Jagger enjoys drugs and drinking, but usually only whenever he is alone. A self-induced lack of control is something that scares him, though he has the ability to hold his alcohol incredibly well. A favorite drug is one that he discovered at Wind Reach called "Poppers".

He suffers from various forms of Synesthesia, but is completely unaware of it. He assumes the rest of the world sees things the way he does, and most people just write off the way he describes things as another silly quirk. He instinctively visualizes numbers when thinking about them, and they appear at different and discernible distances. He believes they have personality, tastes a different taste for each language he speaks, and sometimes sees spoken words dancing in the air.

Character History

A firecracker of a child that was rebellious and angry toward his birth parents, he was given over to the Wildwind pod at a young age. The clan was led by a woman named Vivianneh, with a few members of her close family and her beloved husband. It was a questionable pod, filled with the rebels and the unhinged of the Svefra. It was those who could not take care of themselves, or who had proved too immature or wild to be taken care of through normal means. It was a pod filled with wild ones, though Vivianneh was an impressive woman who easily held her own. She was known for taking some of these wild ones and turning them into respectable members of the Svefra community. She was magical in her ability to firmly discipline and train members of her pod, yet somehow make all of these wild ones love her. Jagger still had a temper, and still caused as much trouble as he could, but found himself falling in love with his family. He would run away to fulfill urges for rebellion and adventure, for danger and trouble, but he would always end up coming back. There were always warm arms to accept him.

He received a mark of Cheva when he was wed to a good friend in the pod by the name of Latari. While their relationship was not quite one of intimate and romantic love, they were best friends, and found that each other's company was likely preferable to having to make a life-long commitment to anyone else. They were rarely found apart after the marking and the wedding, using their new-found titles as an excuse to get into all sorts of trouble together. Even so, Jagger still had the urge to find something more and to feel something more. His next adventure away from the pod sent him far south, where he looked to set foot upon Black Rock. It was a fabled and feared place with all sorts of whispered horror stories, so what better land to find trouble? He was nearly there when the current of the sea suddenly became much too strong for him to handle, even with his God-gifted powers. The Svefra had ran away from his pod right before news of the oncoming Djed Storm had arrived. Though it had not struck, the oceans were swelling, the so-called calm before the storm. He was sent towards a different nearby shore, and there he encountered his first Myrian.

She was a woman by the name of V'rari, a young one looking to impress her beloved M'wara . What better way to discover new knowledge than to experience it first hand, the impulsive V'rari had thought? Seeking something to give to M'wara, wanting to speak of her devotion to the woman with action, V'rari found herself on the shore of the sea in search of that something. She was there when Jagger was flung ashore, somehow unable to control the currents. Myrian and Svefra nearly introduced themselves with open hostilities, both having sensed that something was very wrong with the world at that moment. It was then the Djed Storm bared its fangs, and both people realized what trouble they were in. Forced together out of pure survival instinct, the two fought their way back to Taloba amidst the evolving jungle. Plants grew around them, wildlife went out of control, and everything turned to chaos. Sometime during this struggle to live is when he realized that his Lacun mark had faded. Despair and terror twisted in his gut, but it was forced down for the time. His mind only had room for thoughts of survival, or he would surely die. It was by some miracle of Lhex that they both survived, saving each other's life multiple times during the desperate journey. When they came back to the home city of the Myrian female, it was only because of these things that Jagger was not struck down at first sight. Though he was met with open anger and aggression, his streak of Myrian blood was noticed, and he had V'rari on his side. Recovering from the storm was hard, for both the Myrians and the lone Svefra in their ranks. He held strong though, evolving, finding some way to claw above suffocating circumstances.

The Myrians were a hardy people, and quickly went about recovering from the storm. Jagger was led back to the shore at one point, to where he had stored his ship. It had survived relatively unharmed, and he had a friend waiting for him. His Tavan had survived as well. He eagerly asked about the survival of his pod, only to be met with downcast eyes and a moping demeanor. Feeling the despair twist inside of him once more, he asked if any at all had survived. Only a long sad look, and then a downcast gaze. Both sorrow and longing came crashing down, and Jagger coped with the sudden loss of the only family that he had ever known by simply running from it. Their deaths wasn't quite real yet, as he had only been told about it. The Svefra had yet to see their dead bodies with his own eyes, and he wished to keep it that way. He hid his ship away once more and went back to the Myrians, returning with an even greater fire than before.

He dove into the Myrian culture whole-heartedly, becoming almost dangerous in his eagerness to prove himself. He walked up to the Shorn Skulls clan and demanding a place within them. He tried to sneak up on the Cutthroat shadows. He was a man driven into a corner, and he once again fought to evolve. Various times he was beaten within an inch of his life, other times he thought for sure that they had killed him. Somehow he managed to hang on, always forcing himself to live. It was a stark contrast. His actions in trying to prove himself to the most racist of clans was almost suicidal, but his will to live was remarkable. It was only when he killed his first opponent and perfectly scalped him in Shorn Skull ritual that some of them began to take notice of the fiery halfbreed. Somewhat accepting Jagger, he integrated himself into the life as much as he could, though he couldn't help but continue to wander in an attempt to prove himself to selected people and clans. However, the urge to go to sea is once more tugging at his veins, and his longing for a family burns in his blood. He runs from it as fast as he can though, for as long as sanely possible.
