Soaking the Night Away (Syveris)

Postby Turrin on November 15th, 2013, 5:46 am

Time Stamp: 88th of Fall, 513AV, Evening
Location: The Tisuma Baths
Who: Syveris

After the storm, Turrin spent many days cleaning up his aeries by himself. He would have request a Dek to assist him, but most of them were on clean up duty in the greater part of the city. The devastation was vary real, and the aftermath of the storm rocked the upper caste to their vary core. Almost everything in his aeries needed to be thrown away because of the extent of water damage to his home, so at the moment, he was sleeping on his bed roll where his bed used to be. It took him five days to clean out his ruined property and dry out the place. He would have to restart furnishing his aeries once again at the turn of the season, but at the moment, he was just going to relax the night away in a nice warm bath and soak his worries away. Walking into Tisuma Baths, he could feel the warm humid air hit him as he walked into baths. The place was quite loud because of the amount of people in the baths today. Turrin wasn't surprised the baths were busy since everyone spent the last week cleaning or removing rubble from the storm. The Endal wasn't as dirty as some of the people in here, but his muscle ached from all the scrubbing this last week, so he hoped to remedy his sore muscles with a little pampering from one of the attendants.

As Turrin stood there, the Endal was approached by one of the attendants. She was female Chiet around his age with long curly red hair and bright green eyes. She was naked of course, but Turrin learned over his last ten years of living here that the Inarta don't think much of modesty. When he first came to Wind Reach at fifteen, the young Myrian raised boy was shocked when he had to go to the public baths for the first time when he saw both sexes walking around naked together in the baths. It was quite a sight for the young adolescent foriegner, but he eventually got used to it. Today, Turrin wasn't as bashful and lecherous when he was in his youth, so he just smiled at the young woman and said with a nods, “Good evening, Nera.” The attendant named Nera had been his regular attendant for a few years now, so she sort of knew everything there was about him. Plus, he enjoyed the young woman because she didn't cower at his status and treated and talked to him like a equal, so the conversations at times were quite lively and refreshing..

Nera looked at his bryda and said with a shake of her head, “Turrin, I will not allow you in my baths with your bryda on.” The woman gave him a impish look and said with a wink, “If you are ashamed, I wouldn't be because you have nothing to be ashamed about!”

The Endal laughed out and flirted, “Why are you always in such a rush to get my bryda off? At least buy me supper first, Nera.”

The Chiet shook her head and said simply, “Your not in Taloba, Endal. It works the other way around here in Wind Reach.”

Turrin shook head head and said jokily, “I will never understand the strange ways of the barbarians. Fine you win. Off with the bryda than”

Nera laughed and countered, “I knew you would come around Savage. Will you be taking your bath before or after your message, and do you need a hair cut? You hair is getting long, Turrin.”

“After the week, I have had. I think I will take the bath first before the message. I will pass on the hair cut though. I think I will grow it out some more over the winter.”

“All right, Turrin. I will check on you periodically throughout the night.”

Turrin watched her wake off, and he went to the changing room. When he found a locker, he took off his boots and slide them into the locker. He knew that his bryda needed to be washed, so he took off his bryda, socks, and undergarments and folded them into a pile for the attendants to wash. When he was finished getting undressed, he wrapped the towel around his waist and walked into the pool area. Turrin first went to the second pool where the water was luke warm. Where the Endal did majority of his cleaning than he walked out second pool and walked over to the sixth pool. As he walked into the hot water, the Endal noticed the pool had a few other people in it. They mostly kept to themselves on the other side, so unwrapping his towel, he slowly entered the pool to allow his body to adjust to heat before submerging his waist into the hot water. Relaxing into the water, the Endal closed his eyes and started to think about nothing as he allowed the water to relax his muscles.

Soaking the Night Away (Syveris)

Postby Syveris on November 15th, 2013, 11:52 pm

The last days had been busy for everyone, she imagined, as the entire city rushed to try and repair the damage caused by the storm. The day before, she had helped to make new dishware for the Kitchens, and she went to the Reverie again in the morning, so she could keep working. Although she had mostly used molds, the work had been long and continuous, and it left her exhausted. When she finished today, she was tired and all her muscles were screaming in protest every time she used them. The Avora only wanted to go to her room and sleep all night, although she doubted that she would be able to. But even if she was, the continuous work in the Reverie had left her stinking with sweat and with the smell of burnt glass, and she wouldn't go to bed like this.

So there she was, on the Tisuma Baths, to clean from the sweat and the smell of her work. Even at the locker area, she could feel the steam from the hot waters of the Baths. She took off her clothes, shoving them together in a pile, so they could be washed. It wasn't neatly folded, but she didn't think it was needed, since they would be washed anyway. Besides, she was eager to take the dirt out of her skin. Storing her boots on one of the lockers, the Avora caught the eye of one of the attendants, and nodded in greeting. The woman was about thirty years old, and Syveris always thought they looked kind of sad. The Avora didn't socialized much when she went to the Baths, so she only exchanged a word or two with the attendants, although she talked a little more with this woman. Just a little, as she still couldn't remember what was the attendant's name.

"Do you wish for something today?" the woman asked. Syveris shook her head, but thanked her for the offer. She had never asked for a massage before. Way too much contact for way too long a time. Walking out of the locker room and into the bathing area, the Avora walked straight to the second pool.

Syveris entered it, cleaned herself as quickly as she could and rushed to the third one. She didn't exactly liked the second pool, as she felt it was a little too dirty for her taste, but she understood she needed to get in there before she went to the third one. It didn't mean that she wouldn't make it as quickly as she could. Accepting a sponge from an attendant, she cleaned herself, this time more slowly, taking the time she needed to make sure all the dirt and all the smell had gone away.

Once the Avora finished scrubbing herself, she got out, yawning and preparing to leave. But then, she looked back, eyeing the scented pools. Well, she needed to relax, and it wouldn't hurt to spend a little more time on the Baths, would it? Besides, she wasn't exactly eager to return to her room. Lately, she had been having nightmares almost daily, due to everything that had happened during the storms. The talk to Azira had helped her a lot, allowing the Avora to focus on her work once again. However, at night, the images of people dying and the guilty she felt still plagued her.

Turning around, she made her way to the seventh pool, testing the water. It was way too hot, and she cringed at the temperature. Returning to the sixth one, she tested the water again. It felt much better, and she lowered herself into the water, slowly, sighing with pleasure as the hot water relaxed her muscles. Closing her eyes, she leaned down on the border, just slightly aware that there was someone besides her. She wasn't bothered by it. Of course, Syveris had heard rumors about what sometimes happened in the Baths, but she hardly talked to people in the Baths, and there was hardly someone that would talk to her, so she wasn't worried about anything bad happening. It never had, and it wouldn't start today.

Syveris relaxed even more, letting the thoughts of the events of the past days just go away, forgetting everything for the moment. She let out another happy sigh, enjoying the feeling of the hot water against her skin. The Avora definitely should come to that sixth bath more. It was way more relaxing than she had thought it would be.

Soaking the Night Away (Syveris)

Postby Turrin on November 17th, 2013, 10:49 pm

Still with his eyes closed, the Endal started to wonder if Wind Reach would ever go back to normal. It had been more than a year since the Djed Storm of 512AV, and Wind Reach seemed to never recover from such a tragic day. The years following the storm weren't much better with arise of djed infused beast in the Unforgiving to the storms and instability of the mountain. Nothing seemed to go well for the Inarta, and he wondered if the gods were trying to tell them something with all the calamities. In the end, Turrin knew that he was alone now. Yes, he had Drusilla in his life, but she was more of a adopted sister. The Symenestra was his best friend since he met her shortly after he came to Wind Reach. When his mother and his twin sister died in the Djed Storm, she unofficially took the place of his sister Kaya in his heart. The two had similar personalities, so it felt natural to the large Endal accept the Symenestra into his family. Aponivi was the other part of the family. The wind eagle seemed to more about him than he knew about himself. It was irritating at times. How the eagle seemed know his decision before he even made the decision. In the end, Turrin was Aponivi's rider, so he would do anything the wind eagle wished him to do. As Turrin self reflected in the warm water, the Endal opened his eyes when he felt a presence near him.

Looking through the steam coming off the water, Turrin saw a silhouette of a woman getting into the water through the haze. Normally, the Endal would be polite and not stare, but the half breed couldn't help himself pry his eyes away beautiful woman when he saw pale white skin of her legs through the mist. Feeling heat wash over his cheeks, the half breed knew that he shouldn't be staring and hoped the woman would noticed him gawking at her through the steam. When she was completely submerged the mist parted slightly more, and he realized the naked woman was Syveris. His mind raced for a moment at the realization, and the half Myrian quickly adverted his eyes and stared at the bubbles floating on the surface. Turrin pondered if he should say anything to her since he had been watching her for a half a chime while she got into the water. She might think of him as a perverted freak now! However, she may view it as a slight against her if he didn't at say at least hi. Turrin might be thinking to much about it, so he moved slightly closer and said in Nari with a awkward smile on his face, “Water is quite warm isn't it, Syveris?” The Myrian blinked at his lame greeting. Why didn't he just say hi. It me Turrin? He was thinking way to much about his greeting. It was just Syveris. Deciding to try to salvage dignity, the half breed said with a awkward laugh, “I sure you know it is quite warm since you are sitting in it...” Another awkward laugh escaped his lips and said softly when he realized that he was jabbering like a excited monkey finding a fig tree, “Anyways, it is me, Turrin.” Embarrassed by his behavior, he turned his gaze away from her, stared at the water, and wondered to himself if he could drown himself in it right at this moment.

Soaking the Night Away (Syveris)

Postby Syveris on November 17th, 2013, 11:31 pm

The water was so relaxing and so warm and so... It was just perfect, way better than the first three baths. She could let her mind run through unimportant subjects, such as to which colour would be her next practice piece in glasswork, or to wonder when she would be taught how to do Stained Glass. It wasn't that her job was unimportant, but she just didn't worry too much when she would be taught certain stuff. Syveris only wished to do glasswork, and that was it.

Her thoughts were interrupted when she felt movement on the water, and the person besides her getting nearer her. The Avora tensed up, ready to punch the person if they tried to do anything, but then, the man spoke, and Syveris relaxed again, smiling when she recognized the voice.

He greeted her, but seemed to be nervous about something. The Avora couldn't guess why, though. It wasn't like him to be nervous. Well, at least, he didn't seem nervous in their other meeting, so... Shaking her head, Syveris couldn't hold back the laught when the Endal told her who he was. As if she wouldn't recognize him anywhere.

"Yes, I know." she answered, smiling. "I recognized your voice." the Avora looked at him, seeing when he looked away from her. She frowned. Had she said something wrong? Or was the other just annoyed at her, for some reason? She decided to ignore him. If he hadn't wanted to, he wouldn't have greeted her. "The water here is really amazing. I never knew the last pools could be so relaxing." Normally, she would be annoyed to be interrupted in a moment where she was just trying to relax, but it was Turrin, and she really enjoyed the Endal's company, and she definitely didn't mind talking to him.

"What are you doing here, anyway?" she asked, moving closer to him, until they were almost touching, so she could see his face better through the steam. It was weird to talk and not see the others face. It made her uncomfortable. "I mean, I'm happy to see you here, of course, but don't you have a private bath on your Aerie?" then, a thought occurred to her, and she frowned, worried. "Did something happen to it?" the storm had been bad, and maybe, something had happened with his Aerie, so he couldn't take a bath there. She hoped it was not because of this, though.

Soaking the Night Away (Syveris)

Postby Turrin on November 18th, 2013, 2:25 am

Turrin looked into her golden eyes, and he saw the worried look on his face when she asked about his bath. Turrin knew the bath wasn't safe for human use at the moment because it was plugged up with mud. The water damage was quite extensive in his aeries, and he knew that he would have to request a Avora to come and fix the problems that he couldn't quite do himself. Luckily, the dry cold air coming from the Storm Bay was starting to dry out his home and his wind eagle. However, the water had ruined everything that he left of his mother and sister's personal affects. The worst part about it was his sister's prize collection of personal glass work was completely smashed when the water pushed the art off the stone shelve. He made sure to keep them safe since his twin sister took much pride in her art work even if some of them just looked like hunks of shapeless glass. They were her life and in a instant her life work was smashed by the storm. After everything gets back to normal, Turrin will have to request a lot of new things from the Avora for his aeries like a new feather mattress for his bed. He wasn't sure how much all the water damage will cost him, but he knew that he was now going to have to start all over again.

Turrin frowned slightly and said softly, “I was lucky not to have much structural damage in my aeries because my home didn't get hit by the high winds, but the water damage was quite severe, so I had to throw away most of my families and my personal possessions. Right now. I am sleeping in my sleeping bag in my living room.” Turrin realized that he went slightly off subject and said with a shake of his head, “My bath tub is full of mud, so I decided to come to the public bath to try to relax and forget that I have to scrub my bathroom next. Plus Aponivi threaten to eat me if I didn't stop bitching about my sore back. He has been kind of ornery lately because it been five days since the storm and his pinions feathers on his underbelly are still wet.” Turrin shook his head and said softly, “Cleaning my aeries was what I did on free time, but most of my time was spent clearing rubble around the city. Honestly, I don't understand why the city demands the Dek clear the rubble because half of them can't lift the heavy rocks because of their physical deformities. It frustrating trying to argue it with other Endals who don't want to get their hands dirty..”

Turrin didn't want to bring up his frustrations with her, but he couldn't stop his emotions from coming. It was like a great river of negative feelings rushing out of him. He just hoped the Avora didn't get uncomfortable with him. Turrin looked at her and said with a smirk, “Lets just say my caste doesn't appreciate my opinionated nature. I can't count on my fingers how many times that I spent arguing this last week. Honestly, it seem like the storm as made everyone high strung, so the verbal arguments seem to calm people down temporarily.” Turrin was glad to see Syveris here. He didn't talk to her much after the storm because he was sure that she was busy trying to put the city back together too. However, he enjoyed the company of the glassblower. Also the Myrian glad that she was here since he needed someone to talk too. He had basically been in his head the days after the storm. Most of his free time was spent cleaning his aeries, but most of his time was spent clearing the rubble in the city, “When I went to the aeries when the whole ordeal was over. The poor wind eagle was drenched from his head to his talons. It took me a day to towel the proud bird dry. He keeps complaining that he is cold, and I wish that he could fit in my common room to warm up.” Leaning back against the stone, Turrin shook his head and said sadly, “I got lucky, Sy, and I know that I only lost possessions and not anyone close to me like the Endal and his daughter, but I lost everything of my mother's from her harp to my twin sister's glass art. It hard to replace the items that have memories attached to them.”

Turrin trailed off for a chime, and he wondered if it was selfish to worry about possessions when many people lost love ones in the storm. The memory of the Endal who cracked his skull and kept repeating for the Dek to find his daughter in his collapsed aeries haunted his dreams for the last couple days. He knew if it was his daughter. He would have gone in there to find her even if he lost his life in the process. He felt sorry for the man, and he wished that he could go back to his aeries to look for the body of his daughter, so they could both rest in peace. Maybe it would give himself a little closure about the whole incident. Turrin looked at Syveris and asked softly, “How are you holding up, Syveris? Are you breathing alright? Is everyone important in your life safe?” He was concerned about her since she went quite a lot emotionally and physically during the storm. During the past season, the young woman had become a close friend. He knew their friendship will continue to grow in the coming season if they both survive that long.

Soaking the Night Away (Syveris)

Postby Syveris on November 18th, 2013, 8:45 pm

As she heard the Endal speak, she felt her heart clench. In a way, Syveris was glad that both him and Aponivi were alright, and that most of the damage had been on objects, rather than people. But even so, to loose something that hold so many memories from the people he loved... Syveris pressed her shoulder against his, trying to be comforting, even if she couldn't say anything useful.

The comment on the Deks annoyed her a little, but only for a second. She didn't like when she heard someone defending them, but Turrin had a point. "I think you are right. A lot of people have gone through a lot of stress, and they just want everything to go back to normal. I think giving any work they can find to the Deks are a way of them to cope. And they think that everything would go back to normal faster that way." Syveris shrugged. She wasn't very sure about what she was saying, just wanted to share what she thought.

"Poor Aponivi." Syveris managed to laught a little at the image of the soaked Eagle. "Tell him he have my sympathy." the topic was a little lighter than the others, and she enjoyed it, for the short period it lasted. As soon as Turrin mentioned the Endal and his daughter, she tensed, the guilty washing over her once again. If she spoke about it now, she was sure her voice would be shaky. Syveris didn't want Turrin to hear her like that, again, so she focused on the other part of his words.

"Have you thrown every thing away?" she asked, softly. "Maybe... Depending on the damage, there might be a way to fix some of your sister's glassworks... They are probably going to look ugly, and won't be nearly as great as the original, but you might be able to keep them without cutting yourself on the shards." Syveris noticed that the proposal was stupid. It wouldn't be the same, if it wasn't totally made by his sister's hands, would it? "I'm sorry, it's a terrible idea. I just..." just want to help, somehow. She didn't complete the phrase, though. The Avora sighed. So many people were helping her to go through everything, and she felt like she had done nothing in return.

And then, Turrin asked her how she was holding up. Syveris felt herself tense up again. How was she supposed to answer that? She was barely being able to keep herself from crying. Azira had been a wonderful help, and she would have been much worse without having talked to the huntress, but still... She had lost count on how many times she had cried herself to sleep after the storm, only to be waken up by some nightmare or another.

"During the day, it's fine." the Avora wondered for a tick if she should just leave it there. But the words got out on their own. "But... I've been having some nightmares... It's not important, though! I'm sure they will go away." she doubted it, but she tried to at least sound a little cheerful, so Turrin wouldn't worry.

Syveris smiled at him, as she opened her mouth to say that yes, everyone was alright. Azira was fine, except for her head, but it would heal. Lavira was alright too, and so was Turrin. The first thing she had done when everything was over was to run through every place she knew to see if her mentor was also fine. When she finally found Virat, Syveris almost cried from happiness. He had been fine, too, unscratched by the events. The Avora sometimes wondered if he had some protection against harm. Even her falcon egg had been alright. But just as the words were going to get out of her mouth, her eyes widened, as she realized something.

She had not checked on Arin. She didn't knew if he was alright, if he had been wounded by the storm. True, Syveris was so focused on trying to forget the events, and busy helping more than ever in the Glass Reverie, that she had very little time to think about anything. And the little think she did was about the dead Endals, and the daughter she didn't even try to help. Besides, she had been trying so hard to forget Arin, that shortly after their meeting in the Enclave, she had shoved her thoughts about the man deep inside her mind.

But to forget? To not even care if he had been hurt by the storm? She didn't love him, not anymore, but the man had been her friend, he was important to her. And she didn't even thought about checking on him. How much worse she could get?

Trembling, Syveris pulled her legs up, and passed her arms around them. She felt the tears, of sadness, guilt and hate, threat to fall. "I... I don't know." she whispered to Turrin, her voice weak. "I'm so terrible, so disgusting! He isn't my friend anymore, but he was, and I don't even know if he is alright! What if he is in the Infirmary? What if..." she couldn't keep going, guilt locking her throat and making the tears fall. She hid her head in her arms, trying to get away from everything. It was such a childish thing to do, and even so, she didn't care.

Soaking the Night Away (Syveris)

Postby Turrin on November 26th, 2013, 5:10 am

When Turrin heard that she wanted to repair his sister's glass work, the Endal felt a lump growing in his throat and his felt like they wanted to mist over, but he didn't want to show weakness in front of Inarta woman, so he said softly in Nari, “It is hard to put into the words the kindness you are showing me, Sy.” The half-Myrian looked away for a moment as he started to remember that he sweep all the glass shards into a box. There wasn't much shape to the colorful shards of glass, so he wasn't quite sure what Syveris could do to repair them. Suddenly, he remembered his sister saying that if any of her glass art would ever break. She would just melt it down and start anew. Turrin looked up and said softly in Nari, “My sister always joked about smashing her art and starting anew with the glass of the old art. I not sure what she meant, but...maybe she enjoyed the process of making art and not the finished product. I am a warrior, so I never could understand the mind of my sister the artist, but could you make something new out of the glass shards.” Turrin said with a warm smile, “Than I would have still have something of my sister, and...something of you too.”

Turrin looked at her for a few ticks and turned his attention back to the steamy water. He wasn't sure if he should have said something more in the moments after making his request. However, when Syveris started to talk about how she was holding up after the storm. He could tell the Avora was trying to be strong, but he could tell the woman was struggling with the events of the storm. Also Turrin was struggling with the events of the storm in his own way too. The dying Endal really shook Turrin to the core because he reminded him how utterly helpless he was during the Djed Storm of 512AV where his mother and sister died in the aftermath of Ivak's release from his prison. The nightmares lasted for most of the year following and only recently ending in the summer. He knew what helped him was Aponivi. Talking to Wind Eagle helped Turrin deal with lonely nights in the aeries. Turrin leaned up against her to comfort her and said softly, “If you ever need to talk about the storm, Sy, my aeries will always be open for you. See over a year ago, I lost my mother and sister during the Djed Storm. Luckily for me, I had Aponivi to pull me through the hard times, so don't hesitant to talk to me if you need help too.”

When Syveris started to talk about the one person that she might forgot about in the storm a male friend. Turrin heart sank for a moment when he wondered if this man was a past lover. However, he realized it was stupid to think about it when the Syveris was breaking down besides him. Was he jealous of a man that wasn't even her friend anymore? Turrin shook the selfish thoughts from his head when she started to chastise herself for forgetting about her friend. In his mind, he knew Syveris was nothing like her personal criticism. To him, she was true to her heart, and she showed it through her kindness towards others. It was a trait not many seem to have in Wind Reach or Taloba. However, it broke his heart to see Syveris cry, so he decided to put a arm around her shoulder, pull her close to his chest, and said gently in Nari, “Sy if you were terrible and disgusting, you would care nothing for your old friend... Your concern for him shows that you still care for him regardless of your separation.” Turrin knew that she would only worry about him the rest of her life if she didn't have some closure with her friend. Squeezing her shoulder with his arm, Turrin said softly, “...I am your friend Sy, so if you like to find out the fate of your friend tonight. I will accompany you.”

Soaking the Night Away (Syveris)

Postby Syveris on November 26th, 2013, 8:22 pm

Syveris blushed. Turrin wanted something from her? Why? Shaking her head, she looked down. The mist would probably keep him from seeing her face, but she didn't want to risk it.

"It's... It's nothing, really. I'll try my best to make something beautiful enough to honor your sister's memory." she was glad that he had accepted her request. She could do something to help then, something she knew how to do. It was good to feel useful, even if it was something small like this.

Turrin leaned against her, and the Avora felt herself relax even more. It was comforting, to know that she could search for the Endal if she needed someone. Not that she would actually do it, of course. Syveris didn't want to bother him, specially since he had a lot to deal with already. The Avora hadn't lost anyone in the Djed Storm, but she remembered the anxiety she had felt during the event, without knowing if everyone was safe.

"Thank you a lot for your offer, Turrin." she whispered. "I'm sorry about your mother and sister..." she had already said that, but there was nothing else she could say. In truth, the Avora only wanted to show him that she cared.

Despite the fact that she knew she was horrible for forgetting something so important like this, Turrin didn't seem to mind. Instead, he wrapped his arm around her, and pulled her close. Syveris was grateful, both for his gesture and for his words. She shook her head, knowing she didn't truly deserved them, at least not right now. She should have checked as soon as she had seen that Virat was alright. But she had forgotten.

It took a while for her to stop crying, and she was embarrassed for her behavior. However, now it was done, and there would be no reason to dwell on it any longer. Trying to dry the tears, something that wasn't successful due to the water in her arms and hands, she thought about the offer. Syveris didn't want to bother Turrin by dragging him around until she had found Arin, specially because the last place she wanted to go was to his room in the Darnivas Commonrooms, which meant she would probably have to walk around a lot until she found out what had happened to him. The man wasn't one of keeping a lot of close friends, who might have known about him.

But even so... She didn't want to go alone. If he hadn't survive... Syveris shuddered. No, she wouldn't think that. He was alive, he had to be. Arin would probably have been in the Enclave, or somewhere else far away from the Aeries. Everything would be fine.

And yet, she couldn't believe it. The only thing the Avora knew was that she didn't want to face the truth alone. Even if she met him, alive and well, it might send her into a crying and sobbing state. If Turrin was there, she was sure she could control herself better.

"Thank you." Syveris finally spoke, still unsure about whatever to accept it or not. But the Endal had said they were friends, right? Then, it shouldn't be a big problem. "I would like your company. But you don't need to do it if you don't want to. I'll probably just run from on place to another, trying to find something." she laughed, weakly. The Avora wanted Turrin to keep his offer, though. She straightened up a little, sending a quick glance towards the door of the Tisuma Baths. It would be rude to ask to go right now? She was feeling restless, guilty and worried. For now, Syveris only wanted to find out what had happened.

Soaking the Night Away (Syveris)

Postby Turrin on December 13th, 2013, 5:22 am

Turrin just let Syveris cry in his arms. He knew the young woman must be overwhelmed with emotion after the events of the last week. He understood what she was going through since he had to stifle back from crying himself. However, at the moment, the Myrian just listened in silence as the woman pour her heart out over her friend. When she stopped crying, the red headed woman thanked him, but she insisted that he didn't have to help her find this Arin. Turrin saw her look at the door and said with a smile, “I don't mind, Sy. Besides, all I am doing in the bath is stewing. Why don't we get dressed and look for your friend.” Letting go of her shoulder, the tanned warrior stood up in the bath and said with a smile, “I will met you in the warren when you are ready.” Climbing out off the bath, Turrin wrapped a towel around his waist and walked back to the changing room to get his things.

As Turrin walked to the changing room, he was intercepted by Nera. The chiet gave him a look and asked softly, “Where are you going? I thought you wanted a massage.” Turrin stopped in his tracks, turned around, and said with a smile, “Sorry Nera. I will get one next time. I need to help a friend with something.” Nera gave him a amused look, glanced back at Syveris for a moment, and said to Turrin, “Really..a friend? Do you normally hold your friends like that while bathing?” Turrin felt a flush in his cheeks and said simply, “I was comforting her!” Nera let out a musical laugh and said with a impish grin on her face, “Sure Turrin. Comforting her.” The way that she emphasized comforting made him slightly uncomfortable. Turrin shot a glance at Syveris, looked back at Nera and just stayed silent. Nera quickly broke the awkward silence, “I have been you attendant for awhile now, and I grown quite fond of you savage. It nice to see that the warrior shows a softer side. Alright, I will stop teasing you now.” Turrin said with a awkward laugh, “If you stop, I might think something is wrong with you, Nera.” The Endal turned around and quickly fled to the safety of the changing room.

On the other hand, Nera was still in a playful mood decided to swift walk to the young woman that seemed to have caught the eye of strangest men in Wind Reach. When the ginger bath attendant made her way to Syveris, she put her hands behind her back and asked with a sweet smile, “Can I help you with anything, Avora? My name is Nera a bathing attendant. I can brush your hair, give you a massage, or curl your hair?” The Chiet didn't want to come off pushy to the Avora, so she gave her a few ticks to accept or refuse. However, her mischievous eyes wanted to find out about her and her friend Turrin. The Chiet shot a glance at the changing room and asked with a smile, “So...what do you think of the Myrian? Handsome isn't he?” The pretty Chiet paused for a moment and asked another question, “I saw that you two our close, but I am curious because one of my friends are interested in him. You two aren't together are you?” The bath attendant knew it wasn't fair to ask her that kind of question, but it was nature to curious about her clients. How else would she be able to service them better if she didn't know anything about them. Besides, Turrin was a capable warrior, but he wasn't the most socially graceful creature in Wind Reach, and she wasn't blind enough not to notice the way that he was looking at the Avora either.

Soaking the Night Away (Syveris)

Postby Syveris on December 13th, 2013, 12:26 pm

He would help her. Syveris hugged her legs again, resting her chin in her knees, and looked at the steam that covered the bath. Together with the dread feeling she felt only thinking about what might have happened to Arin, there was also a warm feeling, one she couldn't quite understand. The only thing she knew was that knowing that Turrin was there for her was very pleasant. Even so, she was still unsure if she wanted to go searching for Arin, even if she was with Turrin, unsure if she wanted to find out the truth. But not knowing was always worse, and so, she prepared herself to get up. Maybe he would be fine. There was always this possibility.

However, before she could get up, she felt a pair of hands touching her in the back, and jumped in surprise. Syveris was almost grateful for the woman, when she spoke without showing signs she had felt an Avora get startled so easily.

"No, thank you. I'm already finished here." Syveris smiled to the attendant, and got up. She had to go, otherwise she would keep Turrin waiting. Not that she would have accepted a massage from her, anyway, but it might have been nice to have her hair curled. Another time, maybe. But the Chiet wasn't finished yet, and when she made the next question, Syveris noticed this was probably the reason the woman had talked to her in the first place.

"Handsome?" she repeated, frowning. This wasn't something that she really cared to notice in other people. Why was the Chiet asking her that, anyway? "Well, yes. I guess. I think he is." the Avora looked at the other, still not getting what she wanted to ask.

When the attendant said one of her friends was interested in Turrin, Syveris felt her chest heavy, and she could feel a strange taste in her mouth. Why that was happening, she wasn't sure. But she wanted to say that yes, they were together, because she didn't want him together with this "friend", who could be very well the attendant herself, right?

Syveris blushed, and she could feel all the heat of her body concentrating in her cheeks. She was embarrassed for all this mixed feelings she couldn't identify, and even more embarrassed for considering lying about something like that.

"No. No, we are not together." the Avora whispered, before storming off the Baths as fast as she could without slipping. She heard the Chiet say something, but she didn't stop nor tried to figure out what the words were. When she got to the changing room, Syveris dried herself and dressed, still hurrying, as if the Chiet would follow her in there.

When she got out to the Warrens, she saw Turrin standing, waiting for her. "Let's go." she said, only loud enough for him to hear. Syveris kept her head down as she strode towards the Infirmary. She still felt the heat in her face, and she hoped Turrin wouldn't notice nor ask about it.
