Appearance Tall, slender and graceful, Sayani is not unlike other Symenestra in build. Her limbs are long, and her skin is pale, making possible to see the grey veins running under it. Her eyes, a dark shade of purple, are contemplative and hard-to-read, unless she is on a hunt, when they can shine viciously and full of passion. Sayani's face usually bare a serious and emotionless semblance, only broken by a half-smirk that can either be menacing or ironic, depending on the situation. A full smile from the Symenestra is rare, but when it happens, her whole face seems to change, and she becomes much more caring and sweet. Her hair, straight and colored with very light grey, is worn loose, and, although she loves hair adornments, its rare to see her actually using it, unless it's a very special occasion. When she needs to focus on a task like reading or writing, however, Sayani will tie her hair in a loose braid, that she will undo as soon as she finishes.
Personality
Quiet, patient and observant, everything she does is carefully planned. Every word, every movement and everything she does have a reason behind it. That's why many think the Symenestra's personality is in constant change, while in truth remains the same, only changing the surface so she can achieve her goals.
Deep inside, there is a raw passion for power, blood, suffering and chaos, although Sayani feels guilty about it, working hard to control and restrain this urges. The only time she lets everything in her true nature show is when she is hunting, when she allows herself to only feel, and not think. For that reason, Sayani prefers to hunts alone.
Despite all these impulses, she can feel love and she can feel the urge to care for another, although this is something rare. Blood ties hold no significance to her, but friendship does, and when someone manages to win her trust, be it family or not, they will have won her love. Sayani cares deeply for those she loves, and she will go out of her way to help them, even if they never know it.
There are, however, passions she allows herself to feel. Sayani loves knowledge, always researching, learning or reading, even if said knowledge won't be of use of an immediate future, she is sure she will use it someday. And she loves the Gods and Goddesses. There are those she worships and some she dislikes, although she respects them all, if only because they have attained great amounts of power and knowledge.
History
Sayani's history begins even before her birth. Her mother, Sorana, was an Esterian, and wanted to carry her own child. Convincing her husband, Sorana gave birth to Sayani, a birth that was, as expected, extremely traumatic, and Sorana, although she survived, was left too scared to be able to have any other child, and accepted the use of surrogates. But that meant that Sayani was the only one considered pure of blood, and that influenced heavily in all her childhood.
Sayani grew up with all her mother's expectations, and she tried to fulfill it, studying and training so much until that became part of her. There was very little she did just for enjoyment, and when she did, it was hidden so her mother wouldn't know. Little by little, these times diminished, until Sayani became fully dedicated to always improve. This behavior made her grow farther from both her father and her brother, and only stayed close to her sisters because the two younger girls wouldn't leave her alone for too long. After her father died, Sayani just intensified even more her search for knowledge.
This search lead, at certain point, to religion, and Sayani studied it eagerly. Although Viratas was a God she respected and worshiped to a degree, he still wasn't the God she was searching for, and she kept trying to find a God who could truly raise all the faith she knew she could feel.
