Herein lies the realm of dreams, where dreamers who are scattered all over the world in the physical can come together in the mysterious world of dreams. Remember, unless one is a Dreamwalker, there is no control over dreams. Ever. Anything can happen, and by threading a dream, you are subject to whomever can walk dreams and the whims of Storytellers.

Something fishy floats the boat

Voss tensed up as soon as she mentioned the denvali. "Actually.. they tried to rise up from the denvali quarter. The leaders of that revolt got executed and they are under heavy watch from the waveguard. Just to make sure they don't get any other dumb ideas."

That was the rough of it anyway. He had been at sea while their short rebellion happened and hadn't cared much about shoving his nose in that bussines. So he honestly didn't know to much about it.

Something fishy floats the boat

Postby Alea Davenport on December 7th, 2013, 3:47 pm

Alea tensed and stood up angrily, shaking. "What? You're lying! Captain Astrid wouldn't do that! She'd never endanger her people so stupidly! You must have done something! You Zeltivans must have threatened us!" Alea stalked toward Voss, ready to inflict great violence upon him. She had forgotten that this was just a figment of her imagination. Not even her worst fears could come up with something this outrageous.

Something fishy floats the boat

Voss held up his hands. "Oi,Oi. Captain Astrid didn't have anything to do with it. Was some guy called Adarin who set it all up." He was rapidly backing away from the angry young woman. One moment she was all morose and serene then she almost blew up!

"Why the hell would we even want threaten you guy's anyway. We were nice enough to let you stay in our city after the djed storm years ago. Why the hell would we suddenly change our mind after a few years eh? Not as if we don't have enough place around." Food was another matter. But he highly doubted the denvali survivors really made that much a difference on that point.

"Zeltiva was a bit divided thanks to the storm itself and that one-eyed piece of shyke just took advantage of it. Something about despising outsiders. Petch if I know." He kept a weary eye on the girl. Hoping that she wasn't going to hit him. dream or not that looked as if it would hurt!

"Look if you really want to know. I can try to find out some more about why exactly that shitstorm happenend. I'm positive Captain Astrid didn't have anything to do with it."

It could not be said that Alea relaxed, but she at least refrained from committing violence long enough to hear Voss out. What he was saying made sense. Too much sense. If Adarin has somehow gained an advantage over Astrid...well, all Alea knew was that it couldn't be good. She waved her hands at the rest of his explanation; if Adarin was the culprit she didn't need any more convincing.

"I believe you. I didn't really pay attention to politics when I was a kid, but I do know Adarin is bad news." She frowned, and the said hesitantly, "But what I don't understand is why Captain Astrid didn't stop him. He's not supposed to be in charge. So... what happened to her? Did he really gain enough support to attempt something like taking over another city?"

Something fishy floats the boat

Voss let out a sigh of relief when she believed him. at least now he wasn't going to have to nurse a few bruises in this dream, thank laviku for that.

"I don't know why captain Astrid didn't stop him. I don't know if she is even in the city. Maybe something happened to her ship, maybe she's still looking for other denvali. I sure haven't heard anything about her. All I know is that he somehow got enough support to lock down the city for a few day's. Before some guy named ignotus kicked him down a few notches and helped the waveguard bring him to justice and let his head roll." Voss said with a shrug. He honestly didn't really know the specifics about the whole mess. But that did bring him thinking. Why didn't the captain leave some more trustworthy people in zeltiva? Why wasn't she in the city? And if she was in the city why did adarin manage to gain power? Was she captured or something? This concerned his own home city. So he was rather curious about the fact.

"I don't know if the denvali know more about that entire thing. They aren't really the most talktive to people not from their group."

Alea frowned. "All the Denvali should have been with Astrid, she wouldn't need to go searching for them..." She struggled to make her mind work, but it was hard. She was getting so sleepy...

"Well of course they wouldn't talk to you, you're--wait, who are you anyway? You're not Denvali, you're just, what, some...foreign...boy? No way the Denvali would talk to someone like you. If only I were there, they'd tell me what was going on." Then an idea clicked into place, and she felt fully alert. "But maybe, they'd talk to you if they knew a Denvali sent you! It's a long shot, but it might work! My family is about as Denvali as it gets; someone is bound to recognize the Davenport name!"

She spilled out the next words in a rush, focusing intently on Voss's face. "I still don't know if you're real, but if you are you have to remember this. My name is Alea Davenport. My parents are Jared and Elise Davenport. Someone in the Denvali quarter has to know those names. Er--don't...don't tell them you met me in a dream, whatever you do." She wanted to say more, but another wave of sleepiness overcame her, and her vision went dark. She could still feel the water around her, but she was having trouble concentrating on much else.

Something fishy floats the boat

Postby Voss on December 9th, 2013, 4:26 pm

the dream began to warp, the vines slowly fading away and an all encompassing darkness was quickly closing in on the two of them. The dream was fading fast, and from the way alea was wobbling, it was probably because she was waking up. Or at least being pulled away or something. He didn't know how dreams worked.

"Alea davenport. Parent's are Jared and Elise. Ask around in denvali quarter for those names. Yeah I got it. I'll try to tell you all about it next time!" He managed to yell out before alea fell asleep. or was it woke up? and the entire dream suddenly went dark. he surely hoped there was a next time though. And that those name was of any use.

oocSo, thread's finished?
