Physical Description:
Thomas is not of overbearing height. He has a short mop of black hair and sports murky blue eyes. Overall, he is fairly unremarkable – but not so unremarkable as to become remarkable. His clothes are usually dark in colour; he does not attract attention, rather he sneaks about just outside your vision. His face, if you ever get to see it, isn’t too bad to look at. He has rather boyish charm and will always use it to his advantage. He is thin and wiry, yet has enough strength and stamina to outrun most people.

Character concept:
Personality: Thomas does not actively seek out company. He is rather reserved and is often content by himself. If he does ever interact, he makes sure to leave a charming impression so he can ask for favours later.
When he is not stealing, he is often deep in thought.

Ethics:
Thomas tends not to moralise about things. He is a thief by trade and is not at all ashamed of it. As far as he thinks, the ends justify the means. People, to him, are often a means to an end. However, he may unpredictably bond to someone else, and if he does, he will do his best to be loyal to them (even though loyalty isn’t his strong suit). He is a valuable ally, but an unpredictable one.
He will lie unashamedly if it means he will get out of trouble.

Likes:
Adrenaline, daggers, knives, logic, mind games.

Dislikes:
Being caught at something he shouldn’t be doing.

Character history:
Thomas was raised in a circus and trained as a knife-thrower. He was also trained as a magician and this is where he gets his nimble fingers and illusory tactics – essential for a talented thief. Often, during his life in the circus, he would be sent to pickpocket the audience. He rarely got caught.
When not working for the circus, he would often be found with his nose buried deep in a book (usually stolen). This was strange in itself because he had never been taught to read – the circuspeople imagined that if he had a brain, he’d be dangerous. Nevertheless, Thomas managed to become literate – whether he taught himself or got a benevolent audience member to help him remains to be known.
Eventually and inevitably, Thomas grew tired of circus life and decided to make his own way in the world. Somehow he managed to get safely to a city, and this is where the roleplay starts.
