Appearance: Stitchens may be nicknamed for his need to help others, but at first glance the name is unmerited. Stitchens' body is muscular and thick, definitely through bodybuilding considering the definition of the secondary range of muscles along with those one may use in day-to-day life. He possesses a youthful appearance despite the bulk, with a hairless chin and a short-kept sandy blond mop of hair. His face is not as well defined by power as it is by an out of place kindliness. Character Concept Stitchens hopes to become a sage as he believed his father was. Following in his father's foot steps, he hopes to create a way to empower the mind, body and spirit of both himself and those who wish to learn his way. Needless to say, his sage-hood is a long way off and his legacy is still in the early stages. History Stitchens wasn't always a man with a punny name. I his old life he was given the name Gawain. Gawain's birth meant the end of his mother, Gale Summers. Though his father always missed his late wife, he never blamed Gawain. His mother had been a doctor in her life and even in her death she offered a future of healing; Gawain was born with a mark of Healing, a blessing from Gale's patron goddess Rak'Kali. Through his early childhood he would enjoy a balanced life, roughhousing with his friends without a worry; he could heal after all. He made many friends because of his gift, quite a few were would-be enemies or bullies. Who could hate someone bound to a path of healing even his enemies? There were some, but after a few incidents the numbers of possible foes wore down. His father had taught him the necessity of socialization in the path to self-enlightenment, as well as a number of other aspects. Education, physical health, spiritual guidance and fulfillment, discipline, direction... Though his father was never considered one by trade, Gawain had always thought of him as a sage at his very core. At the age of sixteen, he and his father joined a small traveling group bound for Zeltiva, where the collage could help Gawain on his path and his father could take up a teaching position. Both of them agreed the sea-side city had a natural bonus over the high-walled-fort of Syliras... When they neared Zeltiva though, they encountered a group of bandits. Their group was equipped with guards and hunters, but their numbers were outmatched. To save his son from being enslaved for his healing Gnosis, Dawayne hid him beneath an overturned carriage and fought back against the bandits. Too old to take, he was crippled and left among corpses and wreckage. When Gawain awoke, he found his father ill and wounded beyond his ability to heal. Keeping him stable with his meager medical skills and his single mark, he they attempted to complete the journey to Zeltiva. The journey would take less than three weeks, but in that time he was put through a number of trials and hardships, including coming face to face with one of the bandits. In the end, he would make it to Zeltiva, but his father would not. Gawain considered this a turning point in his life. He took up a nickname he'd earned through the trials and left behind the name of his childhood. It had been an easy life in Syliras, which he left behind. He hoped not to let himself forget the hardships of the world again by keeping the nickname as a permanent memento. History of Stitchens : Stitchens Plint was the nickname given along his journey near the point in which Gawain decided to follow this new lifestyle. The name is iconic to him, and for the most part he goes by this honorific title. It's familiar sound to his surname and his tendencies to help others with what meager medical skills he possesses make this a very punny nickname, but one that Stitchens would never rid himself of.
