55th Winter 513
It was a cold day, but pleasant enough for the hot natured Akalak that roamed the streets of Riverfall. The snow was still clinging, ice was treacherous but the air was crisp, Leth lent his silvery light and for Favchean, the coolness is a respite. He enjoyed the walk about, his Lakan sheathed tightly on his hip, his steps crunching ice and snow underfoot. Winter was half over now, but there was still the other have to see through before spring started to show its head. The dread and excitement to see spring is a clear picture of the confliction that was Favchean. He enjoyed the cool weather, preferring the cold to the hot any day, but he hated the look of straggly trees and bushes as they wait for warmer weather to bloom. He loved the scents and sounds of a spring or summer day where flowers are in full bloom, but he was generally hot and uncomfortable.
Moving through the street that held the Blue Bull, his Akalak eyes having no trouble making out the corners and the shadows. For the most part Riverfall was a peaceful city but there have been on occasion trouble aroused by too much drink. Tonight, from the sounds of it, would be one of those times. The sound of shouting reaches the green male's ears even as he moved forward quickly. As he neared the tavern, the door burst open and two men fell out as a large burly man -presumably employed by the Blue Bull- tossed their hats and cloaks out behind them and shut the door.
The two men were human, from what could be seen by Favchean and with their long sleeves he couldn't tell if they were Kuvan or not, nor did he recognize them. Immediately the got up, swaying and began loudly arguing with each other.
"It wash yer turn to pay fer the rounds Lenny.' One of them slurred, poking his finger into the chest of the other. The other growled and flung his hands up, "I paid fer the lasht one Brine, and if ya were to been honesht we wouldn't have been thrown out." 'Lenny' pushed the other fellow, the other stumbled back before surging forward and tried to punch Lenny.
Favchean himself rolled his eyes to the heavens, this is why he abstained from drinking all alcoholic beverages. It did nothing but causes people to lose control of their sense. Before the two could start to scuffle any further, Favchean leaned forward and grasped the collar of one man's shirt, and the collar of the other man's. Now if they were not drunk he probably wouldn't have opted to do that, for most likely they would have fussed and fought and it wouldn't have been pleasant. But with them being so drunk, it being dark, and a very large male was now holding them physically apart the drunken men just gaped up at him instead of giving him trouble.
"Good evening gentlemen." Favchean let his naturally deep bass growl a little lower, flashing a smile to both. "A bit to drink tonight? Why don't you let me know where you are staying and let me escort you home safely." The green Akalak let go first of Lenny, then of Brine before he bent to scoop up the men's hat and cloaks. "Here you two go.." He handed them the garments with one brow raised.
"Uh we got roomsh at Atri'sh.. we jes' stayin' through the winter..." One of them, maybe Brine, said. They didn't look like they were trouble makers, just two men who were out and about and had a little too much to drink. Favchean nods, and casually puts one large hand on each of their shoulders and began to escort them down the street toward Atr's lodging.
