A surreal cavern city inhabited by Symenestra where stones glow and streets are reams of silk. Cocoon like structures hang between stalactites and cascade over limestone flows in organic and eerie arabesques. Without a Symenestra willing to escort you, entrance is impossible.

Vyvian was crying again. He just didn't understand. Even though he tried so hard to not be lonely, and have someone care for him, it just... he cried more.

Why can't I have friends??

His tears dropped off his face, eyes a bloodshot red against his pallid skin, landing a few feet below him on the dusty floor of the abandoned outskirts of Kalinor.

He had to admit it to himself, he was spending too much time out here. He was rational enough to realise it certainly wasn't helping his situation, but he was irrational enough to crave the silence and the peace.

The echos of symenestra laughing at him echoed through his mind. Seemed to echo through the cave itself. The wet splat of his tears didn't echoe.. they were lost in the abyss.. much like he felt he was.

He closed his eyes and clutched his hands together, squeezing hard. He liked pretending that someone else was holding his hand.

The girls... they were nicer.. The boys all laughed at him, he wasn't tough despite how hard he tried to pull a silly "tough" face like he did. At least the girls were caring in some sort of capacity. At a guess it was maternal instinct. He giggled through the tears.

How peverse was that? Maternal instinct from a Symenestra.

Swinging his feet slowly he looked out over the shadows and wiped away the tears.

One day Vyvian, one day. He bit his lip softly and clutched his hands again, looking back he followed his footsteps. They progressed further and further to the light. It burned but.. he did need the light. He sighed.. but the darkness was so safe..

He decided to stay put. He loved the comfort of quiet and dark too much.
