Adalaide cupped her hands, dipping them into the water. Slowly she lowered her head to sip the cool water. Her dark brown hair had gotten into the water, now dripping down her back. Adalaide rose to her feet and let her gaze wander, for she did not know where she was headed. Everything was intriguing, but she did not want to stay in one place for too long.
The sounds of animals running and calling to each other made Adalaide's heart race. It was not from fear, but excitement. She had never been this far into the trees. Not knowing how to get back, she had just kept walking hoping to come across something better than where she had come. That is when she began to walk along the stream once again.
