The Eyrie The Valterrian left the land around Denval in a new and unrecognizable state. One of the more interesting rock formations has yielded a series of usable caves, which an enterprising Inarta has turned into suitable housing for visiting wind eagles. Inland from the settlement proper and higher in altitude, she had a building built at the base of these caves as a home as well as a base of operations for the care and feeding of the noble birds of prey. No Inarta has ever complained of her service being inadequate, and most of the great raptors seem nominally comfortable there, though they always yearn for home. Some of the lower caves are accessible by humans, though several are only accessible by air. Most are deep enough to shelter from high winds, and hunting is possible out in the rocky ruins of the landscape that are impossible for the landbound to traverse.
