Basic Information

Race: Human
Birthday & Age :486 AV (24 years old)
Gender: Male
Home City: Alvadas

Physical Description
Aeden is not what many would consider a physically imposing figure. He stands only five feet five inches tall and weighs only one hundred and fifty some pounds. Many people underestimate Aeden, based solely upon his slight appearance, but he is far stronger then he looks. Aeden does have quite a bit of muscle, developed from years of hard living on the streets and sailing the seas. Aeden's hair is quite long now, a habit from years at sea. His hair was originally dark brown, but spending years in the sun has bleached some of his hair blond. As far as clothing is concerned Aeden dresses as a rather typical sailor, usually wearing breeches and a light shirt, unless he is in more northern climes.

Character Concept
- Personality -
Aeden is, above all, a survivor. Having grown up primarily on the streets, Aeden learned at an early age that the world is a cruel and uncaring place. He is not above stealing if he needs something to live, but is sensible enough to try and get things honestly. His life experiences have also served to teach him that life is far to short to spend it worrying about things such as money, land and other riches. Aeden would rather spend his money on booze, food, women and weapons, since he prefers to live every day like it's his last. Some of his friends in the past saw this as a rather morbid view of life, but Aeden argues that it is the opposite, that his acceptance of impending death allows him to life his life more carefree.

- Likes & Dislikes -
Aeden is a fairly simple man when to what he likes in life. He enjoys good food, good alcohol and a good woman in his arms. Since leaving the city of his birth, Aeden has found that he loves traveling and has an insatiable wanderlust. He loves being aboard a ship, with the wind behind him and the scent of the sea in his nostrils.

On the flip side there are a good number of things that Aeden dislikes. Foremost among those dislikes is Aeden's hatred of the elite of the world, especially those who hoard their wealth rather then try and help those who are less fortunate. Aeden has never really handled a horse in his life, and this lake of experience makes him rather weary of horses. He also has a very reasonable dislike for sharks, which make sense, considering several close calls he's had.

Character History
Aeden was born in the city of Alvadas. His father was a tanner while his mother worked as a washerwoman. Aeden never really came to know his parents very well, because, when he was six, both of them died from disease. Having no family in the city, or anywhere he knew of, Aeden lived alone in his family's home, trying to live as best he could. It wasn't long though before ruffians heard of the young boy living there alone and moved in, taking the home but let Aeden flee with a few possessions, and his life.

With nowhere to go, Aeden was forced to live on the streets and make a living however he could. Aeden, being to young to find a real job, did whatever small odd jobs he could and supplemented by swiping whatever else he needed. This went on for several years, until, at the age of fourteen, he was caught one night trying to break into a silversmith. With the town guard hot on his heels, Aeden fled to the docks. He was able to evade them long enough so that he could slip aboard a ship the next morning and sign on as a member of the crew. The ship left that very morning.

Once aboard the ship, Aeden learned of his new duties. Being that he was the lightest man and the youngest, with probably the best eyesight, he'd become a lookout for the ship. This entailed climbing up to the top of the mast and keeping an eye out for other ships. But, since that only needed to be done once every hour or so, he was also to be trained as a deckhand. As the years seemed to fly by, Aeden became more and more proficient as a sailor. The trading vessel he served on had no true home, so they traveled from one port to another, offloading goods and taking on new ones to sell at the next port. Aeden saw places he had only hear rumor of as a child, or had never heard anything about them at all.

It wasn't to long ago that his ship was on one such trading run to Wind Reach. They were sailing late in the season and a rather ferocious storm blew up. The ship was blown drastically off course, and found itself in Storm Bay. The captain, unfamiliar with the area and without maps, was forced to stick close to shore to try and regain their barings. But, another storm swept in, dashing the vessel against a reef on an unknown coast. Aeden had been thrown into the water before the ship wrecked, since he had been lashing down the main sail. He managed to make it to shore, but could not find any other survivors. A large chunk of the ship had washed ashore, so he scavenged what he could, then set off down the beach, hoping to find a nearby settlement.

As it was, fortune was with him, for as he ascended a nearby cliff, he saw fishing vessels in the bay. Thinking quickly Aeden started a fire to signal the ships, and one came to investigate. He clambered back down to the beach and was taken in by the crew of that ship who, after their day of fishing was done, took him to Denval.
